Jaydee11: The reason(s) of your withdrawal, would any details on present information contradict the previous, which might weigh heavily on your new application? In all applications, you must be honest and truthful to all questions answered (your application is a legal document)......... |

Thanks guys, that was the worst case scenario. This is the complete story, I met a lady on Instagram April last year, so we struck up a friendship which lead to us chatting via phone calls and videos calls, we are age mates 33yrs old, she's a mom of two little girls which I video chat with, 3 days a week and she is still in the process of finalizing her divorce. She visited me in Nigeria on October to see my family, she spent a week in Nigeria and traveled back to the UK. So I decide I should see her family and stay with her for at least 3months so I know I'm not making a mistake, then we can proceed getting married. I work with a one of the top 3 telecoms company in Nigeria and a full staff for 5years plus now, so she decided to apply for a visitors visa for me as her being my sponsor in the UK, according to her - she would apply there for me and I would be sent an appointment to go for the biometric and she would provide everything she is asked to, like her passport information, bank statement, place of work etc. She has all she needs, but I worry that I may fall short in providing what I need to prove that I'll come back. So like I said earlier, this is my first time leaving Nigeria, I was born in Venezuela, its on my passport but I was a kid then. So I can provide my employment letter, Employment letter of confirmation, Letter from my company stating they are informed about my travelling. Now my bank statement, I earn little over 90k a month, but no savings ( I know, I'm dumb. Lol) so there is little or no money there. I sold my car last week and was paid 830k for it, so that's pretty much all I've got in my salary account. The embassy would need last six months of my statement, so I'm asking for any advice, 1) should I send the money out, and have it sent back to me piece by piece so account is busy even though its my salary account? 2) how do I prove my family ties here? Ive no idea on how to go about that? This is the complete story, so guys please what can I do to ensure I have a good chance in getting this visa, please any advice will be appreciated. Thanks |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 10:52pm On Feb 03, 2018 |
feranmi111: If she was born before her father become a british citizen, then a DNA test is necessary to proof relationship. This could pave a way for her to be registered as a British Citizen before she turn 18. However, this is only true, if her father did include her as his child when he was applying for his naturalization and British passport. Otherwise she can only get a visit visa and that will depend on a lot of documentation from her. |

ekpotek:Thanks ekpotek I've searched through google but I can't find the embassy approved hospital for DNA and does it mean straight refusal if we apply without doing DNA or is it a 50/50 Decision or after applying is there possibility that the embassy will instruct her to go for DNA. |

Good morning all I'm 30years old and a single lady, I' ll like to put in for UK tourist visa this April when the school will go on holiday. I work in a school as head nursery section with a salary of 220k which is paid by cash into my account by my school director with the school name. 1. Is cash salary payment acceptable or it should have been online transaction? My opening balance in August 2017 was about 2. 2 million, I bought treasury bill of 1million naira on August 2nd which matured on Friday, 2nd of February, 2018. I bought another treasury bill of I million on August 31st which will mature on March 1st. Please can I go ahead and submit with a closing balance of 2.1 this month given the fact that 1 million was deposited on Friday from the first treasury bill that matured? 2. Hope this won't count against me as money lodgement? I still have another treasury bill of 1 million which will mature in March, Can I submit the certificate issued for this too? Aside the school monthly salary I have an extra income, I'm a home tutor, some parents paid cash with envelope while three or two paid directly into my account? 3.How do I explain this? I will like to apply by February ending since I have to give a 2 months prior notice for my application. I was denied US visa last year, after the denial I went to Ghana for vacation. help me look into this gurus in the house. Pardon my long post. |

goldenlolo: 1. Yes cash payment is acceptable since it reflects in your account with the name of your company, you only need to give just brief explanation. 2. No it will not count against you because it shows that you have a backup which also acts as your tie to Nigeria. There is no especial way of explaining it better than what you just did here, make sure that you acknowledge the US visa refusal and give a brief explanation why you were refused. The explanation you gave here about the additional source of income is good, repeat the same in your application form to support your other source of income. 1 Like |

feranmi111: I will advise that you see an immigration lawyer, why? Immediately she disclosed in her application form that her father is a British Citizen. She is more likely to be refuse as she is underage and a potential overstayer. There are centre in Lagos which is recognized by the Home office for DNA parentage test. Bottom line let her and her dad do a DNA test and apply for her British passport. Or use the study route i.e student visa. |
