Mickael2: Are you serious?. I thought he played as part of a three man defence on his debut. Well, if he is now keeping Agu on the bench in the midfield, then that's a welcome development. Shehu can take a role in the midfield (and also as a utility player in the right back role) in our 23-man WC list while Ebuehi, Ola Aina, and Idowu man the fullback positions. I don't want these latter 3 players to miss the WC party. Na who Agu and Echiejile help? Guys, what do we think? 6 Likes |

elyte89: Don't to that to him Sir Elyte.... Let him be. I think I understand how he feels... And what gives him such faith. Biko.... Allow him to believe after all most of the great achievements were seen as crazy or unattainable at one point before manifestation shattered those walls. I think he has a right to think we can win this world cup. A few signs are indeed present to back up his belief so I understand if he focuses only on those few signs. So don't try to rubbish his belief... This is something he is saying with very unique and strong passion... I can sense it from here..... So leave plsss don't be funny on him.... Juuuuussstttt...... 11 Likes

mank1234: I respect and admire your faith in this team Sir Mank... I really do. Maybe there is something you know that I don't... But also believe me when I tell you that you won't find a stronger die-hard Super Eagles fan than myself. I got thrown out the door and laughed at when I told my colleagues back in my first med degree studies that Nigeria will beat Cote D'Ivoire at Afcon 2013 by just one goal and that Drogba and co will only hit the bar as much as they want but will never beat us coz we will do the scoring. Man... They thought I was crazy. One even said I know nothing about football and should please excuse them so that I don't pollute the air with my nonsensical die-hard faith. Looolll At the end of the day, yoy know the rest of the story.... We owned Cote D'Ivoire and went on to conquer Africa. From that day, I earned the respect of those plastic Nigerian fans who only found true Joy in The EPL and LA liga.... They said, "Indeed you are Mr.Nigeria" and that is how one of my few favorite nicknames in medical school was born. "Mr Nigeria" So man.... I get you. I understand you. And I am sure you won't stop believing even if we fail to bring home the cup because I have also had my fair share of many football disappointing moments which are so much to mention. Is it Afcon 2006 vs Cote D'Ivoire? Or My First Afcon in 2000 as an 8 yr old? What about Afcon 2004 against Tunisia? So many man.... But I am still here drumming support and sounding it loud and clear that we indeed have another rising golden generation on our hands.... And I will not stop believing. I have seen our team over the years fail and succeed, lose and win, fall and rise all in different moments of Despair and Glory... Football is beyond entertainment... It is also a passion and can be a source of immense Joy and Inspiration to any Nigerian who believes in the beauty of the unique story of Nigerian football. Sir Mank... I love your conviction and believe me, I also would love to see us win. Wow! It would be magical... But listen to me... Don't give up on this team even if we fail to bring home the cup... Dont give up! We are a team in special evolution and will shock the world soon enough. Welcome to the house of Believers in this team Sir Mank.... Welcome ....... 8 Likes

Of course I know that Sir Elyte... You know how I balance optimism with reality here. But again... There was Spain, France, England, Germany, Holland, etc when Greece conquered Europe in 2004. So his optimism is still valid. Just respect that... Remember The Leicester story too? Good... This is football. But I do understand the place of preparation and more involved. But again... There have been football moments that defied logic and shattered the concepts of preparedness and Big names. This is football after all... It is well shaa. elyte89: 1 Like |

Mickael2: What is bad there? Shehu is about the most underrated player in that Super Eagles squad. An asset to any team he finds himself. He plays, DM, RB, CM, and also CB. Such kind of player will always make the team. One very good attribute of his is he is level headed and works very hard and also keeps to instructions. Every coach will always like such a player. 6 Likes |

andrew444: If Rohr decides to use 3-5-2 formation, it would be difficult for Ighalo to start..in that formation, the forwards are required to be very dynamic and also put some shift in defensively!!! Doesn't sound like Ighalo to me.. However if he decides to use 4-5-1, Ighalo most like gets the nod but I wouldn't rule KC out...if KC keeps showing improvements like we have seen in his last 2 games, he might be difficult to bench because of his abilities on setpiece!!! Note I said set piece not freekick, he seems to be getting better at whooping those balls in, if u watch the last WCQ game we played against algeria, his set piece were looking very dangerous!! Now add that to the kind of confidence he is gained just by scoring that free-kick against Argentina.. Note that free-kick he scored wasn't just luck, he must have been practicing in training.. It would be difficult for Rohr to bench him if he scores from free-kick again in any of our friendlies.. 8 Likes |

Same way they said Leicester will not win the EPL, Trump will not defeat Clinton, Nigeria will not go past Algeria and Cameroon, Nigeria cannot beat Argentina in Friendly.... Until we get rid of our defeatist mentality we will remain as we are. On the field its 11 against 11 anything is possible. 9 Likes 1 Share |

There's dearth of defenders in the SE hence the need to source for defenders eligible to play for the SE. And that is the reason Akpoguma, Uduokhai, Jordan Torunarigha, Ilori, Deji-beyreuther, Adarabioyo and Iorfa Jnr should all be considered for the Super Eagles.. I am not saying all should go to the world Cup but we need as many as possible. The ones ready for World cup are Uduokhai, Ilori and Akpoguma. 5 Likes |
