Nothing is landmark about this fucking deal.

Konga was struggling, suffering and smiling.

Hmmmm Konga died a long time ago.

Yup. One of the reasons homie (konga founder) moved to enjoy life in Capetown.

Google bought YouTube and Android
Microsoft bought LinkedIn
Facebook bought Instagram and Whatsapp etc

So, there is no biggie if it will provide stronger competition and improve service delivery in d e-commerce industry.

I knew konga had issues, they fired most of their developers and handed their site to be managed by andela. Now this

If they integrate with yudala, they could pose some serious competition to jumia and position themselves as top Ecommerce in Nigeria/Africa since yudala has some chain stores and operate with both online and offline model. It would be much easier to establish branches across the nation with chain stores, and then woo customers to E-commerce. Sounds like a nice deal to me.
Just like the Amazon Go shop

Am going to acquire Dealdey so i can help them. Watch me

Dealdey is affiliated to Konga therefore I suspect it must be included as part of this deal undecided

Me shop from nigerian e-commerce site. Never in my life time again. What you see is not what you get. Plus they take centuries to deliver, ontop your own goods again, they will be dribbling you like football..

zinox does not own yudala; zinox is the father to the owner of yudala.

Zinox was a badly run company. Yudala was a cluelessly run outfit. If this merger is one that will be like UBA-Standard Bank, where the more organised outfit took over running of the entity, i welcome it. However, if they want the spirit of Yudala and Zinox to overtake the Konga culture, then I'm afraid it is all finished.

Do they even sell Zinox Computer in Yudala stores?

Konga was run aground by its management who wasted VC funding .. the VCs had to cut off and sell off. ZINOX bought her on the cheap.. lets move on.. only those who don't know clap hands

I knew the recession was really biting them.

no wonder, orders hardly come. from 5 orders a day to 3 to 2 to 1 order in 3 weeks.

they couldn't meet up with cost of running online ads and failed deliveries.

An acquisition to make it stronger
Am out for anything that will make deceptive and disillusion stance towards customer service and delivery as displayed by Jumia and it's staff sit up

This is good in tiv

Obeezi.com is better...never regretted chopping on their platform....they get the product to you, you inspect and when satisfied you pay

I am always wary of any big business run by a Nigerian in Nigeria.

Dangote, Zenith Bank, GTB, PanOcean, Channels TV, African Capital Alliance, Sahara Energy, Sokoa Furniture, Isiaka Rabiu and company etc are well run companies.

Try Obeezi.com....you pay on delivery and in my own experience, they deliver as ordered.... No gimmicks with them

Acquisition doesnt neccessary make it stronger, they could end up running the site down

what does zinox know about an ecommerce site?

At the beer parlour someone said let your competitor gain the market share and when the time is right just buy them. Unlike Kings Yudala has it's own shop where people can buy and by riding on the Konga platform they can expand their own business. The moment Konga stopped cash before delivery was when they sealed that fate. Nigerians would rather enter market and purchase or wait to see the product before they buy it because they don't trust the Nigerian element but the same Nigerians would have no issues paying on Aliexpress and Amazon before delivery because they trust the companies. Also items on Konga are really expensive compared to buying them outside the country. Eya this one way my friend resign go Konga.

Those options means you are to bear the co sequences 100% if the product has any issue. It's not even an option.

Truly landmark, now they can work on the business model and revise it. They can become the Amazon and Alibaba of Africa

No African e-commerce website can become Alibaba in the foreseeable future, not if their country can't become China anytime soon.
