Infiosa: The Canadian route is not bad, it affords you the opportunity of stricter verification and perhaps will make that of the US easier subsequently if you are still interested.... All the best! Meanwhile you didn't quite do justice to the questions asked in my first response to you. At what point was the interview concluded? What was the last question/event before the denial? What took you to the UK and Ireland lately? 1 Like |

It was decided when the VO asked if we had travelled together as a family and we both said yes. In fact my wife and I were so confident until d VO said she was sorry. OmoBendel24: |

OmoBendel24:i am not perfect! Most people loose it on school or professional tie. 90% thinks when u have an increase in salary or a new child den your tie have developed? 214b will still be issued even after giving Embassy 90days or 1year break. Please if your bsc is weak futher more on masters here and give a try that a big Change in circumstance under School.and if u are mere accountant get an Ican it a big Change in circumstance under Professional. |

Infiosa: Could your educational background have played a fast one on you before the VO? You studied business admin @ ND and then BA History but you never worked with that and then you had CCIE (BIG congrats on that, we have just a handful of you guys in Nigeria) and work as a network engineer. Maybe the VO is thinking in line of your professional career not meeting up with your academic background, just saying. Was 2015 the first time of applying for US visa, have you misrepresented in the past? Your profile seems excellent for an approval. |

Infiosa: From the VOs take and my observation here so far too, most times though, that is where they likely noticed or got confirmation of an anomaly, interview ends abruptly. |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by OmoBendel24: 2:33pm On Feb 03, 2018 |
ayenikunle: I have read here severally where nothing changed but travel history and visa was granted subsequently. One applicant I think only secured a Canadian visa and got the US Visa smoothly thereafter without yet using it to Canada despite previous denials.... |

Sure, it is a privilege not a right. I have decided to seek the privilege some else before your comment. Please don't be rude as I don't want to be nasty here. Thanks as your advice is appreciated . KaptainAfrika: 4 Likes |

Very valid points here...my conclusion is to seek for God's favour if one seeks US visa. God's factor is paramount in their decision making. OmoBendel24: 1 Like |

ayenikunle:oh god not again! since when did working in your educational field become a criterion for obtaining a visa to take your family on a vacation? was he applying for a work visa. You all should stop with all the unnecessary inferring on why he was denied. the fact is the if the US embassy is really thorough on investigating applications , they would know a genuine application when they see one regardless of whether the applicant has seen the four walls of a university or not |

U are very correct as my son will be so glad to visit Disneyworld . He watches Disney junior cartoons a lot. He teaches me those characters names such captain Jake and the rest. I no be butter nau. I do what I do for them. His mood was changed when I told him we won't be going to d US anymore. I have decided to take them somewhere else for now. They will definitely visit US in the future as I have taken it upon myself to build strong travel history for them to seek for visas with or without me. seyewest: 1 Like |

Valid points but nobody knows. We are just guessing. My concern is the reasons for denials are so generic. How does one work on it in the next application ? No one knows the reasons for the refusal. I have been refused before but reasons were highlighted and it further explained during d next application and I was granted. That's my concern and I am not bitter. ayenikunle: |

Infiosa: It's well bro. Don't be surprised you apply next time and you are issued the VISA without much questions once all your details check out. We see things differently and so do VOs. Am so touched about your interview. This should be my 11th post or on nairaland since 2007 and most of it on your interview. Don't give up on the USA. 2 Likes |
