He'll play games no questions. Anyhow he's been bright so far. I'm speaking from experience and how much Wenger loves Ramsey and Wilshere.

Is that love far stronger than for his love for Iwobi? cheesy

Iwobi will play. Wenger rates him very highly. Similar things was said when Sanchez came but Iwobi still got games.
Iwobi broke through after Alexis came in na. I'm not saying he won't get games, but it'll be difficult for him to be a regular. He'll be playing against certain types of opponents.

Big if, since its kinda difficult breaking into the main team while plying your game at home.

We need to work on improving the local league. Academies, better coaching and administration.

Just don't curse him when he doesn't start Iwobi next game. I know Iwobi can do no wrong in your eyes. He can even bench Ozil if they both played the same position
come to think of it...ur wilshere is even on the bench..

so mr gaffer, why is that? ?

Yes but people did not think he would play much with Alexis, Ozil, Walcott, Chamberlain but he kept playing.

He will play. When Wenger likes a player, he will keep giving him games.

Funny enough, we have always had players directly from the Local league play for the NT even when the league was worse off than what we presently have and some of them actually did well.

I bet its because we now have access to options outside the league, hence the reason we think all at home are totally bad.

Stephen Odey that just moved last year might end up in the NT within 2 years (just for changing location), might not have been different from the Odey but let me stop here for now. after the world cup, i will bring up this issue again.

Iwobi was no where near the first team prior to the time he made his debut for the Super Eagles. He was an academy player.

Too early for Odey.. Needs to move to a better team.

The talents are there in the local league but they are unrefined.

Iwobi played about 3 cup games before making debut for naija, did we ever think of dele Ali,I am not sure most people know him from his millwall days till Tottenham, naija no make attempt at all

Firstly, Iwobi had not played one game for Arsenal first team before he played for the senior SE. I guess the small matter if his Uncle JJay.

Dele Alli never played for Millwall a Championship side. But played for MK Dons a league one team, he came to Liverpool on trial but the politics excluded him.

Anyway with regards to Dele Alli the rest is history.

you think invitation into of players into the national team should be based on sentiment ?

My man try and get the point ,we are very luck to get Iwobi early and what is cup game comparing to a young player that has feature in champions league and yet to make a debut, better to call them capped them and let leave everything for the future,if they come good fine than all these Tammy,Aogo,Patrick Owomoyela wahala.

I do not think so, in the scheme of things he had only played 1 single game for England U18. He simply was not rated highly by the England selectors.

So his best option was alway Nigeria which in all honesty has helped his career.

Sentiments? sorry read again, nothing like sentiment in what i have said so far, i asked for those who have performed well, then asked if it was possible some of these "outstanding" ones from the lot get invited to the upcoming friendlies. so where is the "sentiment" here?

Iwobi fits perfectly well in this formation.

Meaning he can be used even with Mithy on the field of play.

Wenger knows what he's getting from the lad.

4:0 (HT)

Last goal was a clear offside though, a FIFA referee acting as an assistant missed that clear offside? grin grin grin grin English FIFA ref grin

The one in the middle missed 2 clear fouls against Mithy and the Arsenal's French defender.

We have them good and bad everywhere grin

As at 1993 when Oliseh had his debut for Nigeria he was in his 3rd season at RFC Liege of Belgium. So he was no green horn in the game.

As at 2000 when Julius Aghahowa was included in the AFCON team, he had featured at the U20 WC in 1999 ( which is a lot more competitive than the U17) where he shone brightly. And he had moved from Bendel insurance to Esparance De Tunis.

The only record Osimhen has going for him is at his U17. I have not seen any other thing he has done after that that is worthy of he being invited to the Super Eagles.

Now, that he is the Wolfsburg Senior team, let us see him score goals before we talk of including him in the team.

I recon more with players that shine at the U20 than at the U17.

I can see you clearly skipped Omeruo because it shows how the National team clearly built a player.

Oliseh is not a good example but clearly showed a player unknown in the international scene, pushed into the spot light through the National team.

Julius Aghahowa was included in the AFCON team after the National team was used to propel him. I wonder why you are twisting the Narrative. He was a nobody to the Super Eagles. He was not Outstanding in the U20 tournament except in the first game against Costa Rica where he scored a beautiful goal that brought him to the eyes of the National team handlers.

After that, he did not bring much to the table in the tournament. Did not win another man of the match. His talent was spotted and the Super Eagles was used as a grooming table for him. Then by the AFCON, we had a star. If they followed your only recognized players idea, Aghahowa had no reason going to the AFCON.

There are many U17 stars that became quality later. From Diego Ribasa, Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas, David Silva, Mikel Obi, Giovanni Dos Santos, Lacazette and many more.

The point is not about U17 or U20. The point is simple. Our team handlers should play more active roles in helping building our exceptional talents.

Finito.

let him be invited and tried...
he don't have to be in the feet of nesta or maldini before we call him good enough..

this a player wit so much potential....right now we can get him play for Nigeria and not to start going after him when he becomes a man city regular....trying to reap where we have not sown...

I very much doubt IF HE WILL EVER be a Man City regular.

Untill he plays first team he is just a player surrounded by quality players that can be made too look way better than he actually is.

If he was that good I assure you there would be teams trying to get him on loan. But little or no interest, I wonder Why

Nacho's day is over.... Replaced by Demarai Gray. Good game he had and bagged a beautiful assist. Showed fine class in that one moment. Well done. Not bad for a return to the starting lineup in the EPL.

Keep working your socks off Nacho man. More games to come.

Did you see that move Iheanacho made before he gave Vardy that pass? That was frightening. The boy got skills.

Find blanket for me. I am scared of skills.
