Iwobi's haters? I haven't come across one yet. I mean on this thread. Guys are only trying to be realistic and not hating.

On the other hand I have never seen a coach who so much believes, depends and trust young players like Wenger. That man is a COACH and not just a manager.
Constructive criticism is hating na...don't you know?? Iwobi is the best arsenal player ever. Iwobi has been in Ballon D orr form.

Which of them won MVP and or highest goal scorer? And where are the players that won the MVP and highest goal scorers when these guys played U17?

So if the player wins MVP, then he can not be World Class. Funny again.

It is not about winning MVP but identifying exceptional talents and nurture them. Saviola broke the U20 scoring record, scoring an astonishing 11 goals, did not come close in quality to Tevez who in the same year scored 2 in the U17.

I have said before. Talent is one thing. Then comes hard work and support. I want our exceptional players to work hard but the National team should contribute in providing support.

Honestly, the most impressive Nigerian player for me this season is Ndidi. He has really improved his game.

Though I didn't see the first half today but from what I saw in the second half today, it is very clear Iheanacho enjoys playing from the deep. He doesn't like being isolated upfront.

In the match he scored two goals, there was something he did that really confirmed his confidence has been restored. It was the ball he tapped up before smatching a shot that was goal bound but blocked. This was from the highlight though.

That was captivating to say the truth. shocked

Now, this is what I am talking about. You must play well before going to Russia and now that he is playing well. EOD.

I really thank Rohr for declaring he would only take players playing regularly for their clubs to Russia. Hehehehe,!

That statement gave many players hope to fight for shirt.
And that is the reason Success, Ujah, Ideye, Etebor and Musa fast fast go look for club. grin

Now, this is interesting. grin
you too saw that moment of confidence... I thought I was only having it played out in my mind and probably was just exaggerating the skill. That match was against Fleetwood town.

I saw the highlight of his assist and the goal bound shot blocked by a swansea player(though I was expecting him to hit the ball straight away with his right foot) during the goal rush while watching man-u today.
I'll say he is fit again.

Iwobi and Osimhen play totally different positions, so, we can not start comparing them. Their styles are totally different.

Secondly, you are missing the point of the debate. The point is we should hand hold more. An example was Rohr hand holding Awaziem, Osimhen. I gave an example. I wonder how you have turned that to we should hand hold Awoniyi. Funny.

Are you Rohr to understand what he has seen in Osimhen that sparked his interest? How are you sure Dessers or Awoniyi have what he is looking for.

Iwobi did not fit into your experience, do well in club for some time criteria.

Finito.

Were you not the one that brought in Iwobi?
See you?

Thank God. This is one player I believe can add quality to our SE.

Hope Rohr gives him the chance.

Ajiboye won golden glove ahead of De Gea. Where ate the two today?

De Gea is in an environment that provides amazing grooming. From the academy being coached by Professional coaches to leagues that promote the development of young players.

Yet you want Ajiboye who was not supported by the National team and Did not have close to the nurturing environment De Gea enjoyed to be on the same level?

Why do you think I am clamoring for more support? A player like Ajiboye with support and exposure would have become top quality.

If my memory serves me right, I think he has been approached by our FA. The ball is in his court. We await his response.

My advise is that he should keep on working hard. His work isn't going unnoticed.

That was long long time ago. I may be wrong.

Your argument is that because Osimhen won golden boots at U17 and K. Nwakali won golden ball too they should be given automatic slots in the national team because they are special talents.

And I tell you NO that most MVPs and Golden boot winners don't end up well so let the duo prove their mettle at club senior level first.

Jordan Torunarigha played in central defence today (left CB) for Hertha BSC in their 1-1 Bundesliga tie with TSG Hoffenheim.

Remember Torunarigha stands at 1.89m tall and is left footed too. He can feature as both LB and CB.

He was the best player on the pitch according to WhoScored.

Oga you cannot because Iwobi got his debut at such an age and use that to call for Osimhen all in the name of nurturing. We saw Iwobi's class as a senior player before he was invited. I am yet to see anything from Osimhen as a senior player. Period.

I am not calling for Osimhen. Osimhen had nothing to do with what I was talking about.

Get the point. It is too simple.

Due to the challenges our players face because of the Nigerian factor that holds them from reaching the pinnacle of their abilities, the National team handlers should do more hand holding to enable some of them reach their deserved heights.

Do you see Osimhen in the point?

We should not wait for clubs? The clubs is even the best place for them to get groomed and not the national team.

So if we had Rohr all these years he would have "created room" for Ajiboye when we had better goalies like Enyeama, Ejide and Ayenugba? That was not necessary oga.

got the chance to watch his documentary.

Dude revolutionize the act of goal keeping. It was said of him to be the introducer of ball punching, initiated fast counter-attacks by throwing the ball and so on.

Most of his tricks were adopted and are still been used by modern day goal keepers.
In short dude was rock solid in goal. He was arguably one of the best if not best to have stand in between the sticks.

It was necessary if for a second we had an eye on the future and building a top quality goalkeeper or maybe the best in the World. Imagine a talent like Ajiboye in camp training with the likes of Enyeama and under the tutelage of Ike Shorunmu for about two or three years. His quality would have been Outstanding.

That is a room to bridge the gap of the lack of quality training our special talents might miss out on. The exposure, Brutal.

I have always hammered on behind the scene is key. That is my point. We are fond of relaxing when we find the next shining object.

Bros, there us no way we will carry all these goalies along. Akpan Bassey( i even know him personally) also came at a time when the trio of Enyeama, Ejide and Ayenugba were at their best.

Do you know Ezenwa was also exceptional at the 2007 U20? How many keeper we wan invite to camp?

Was 07 U20 not the one Sanchez and Co. gave us four? Tufia. Exceptional for where. I watched that tourney. He was not exceptional. Ajiboye and Bassey were close to magic.
