Ezenwa will go to the World Cup but he won’t be 1st choice.

darkelf:

Bro, I seriously doubt that he'll pick any of them.

Ow, Ezenwa is not far better. Meaning he is better.

I thought a few days ago you said Ajiboye was better.

This is what happens when you conclude from just one game.

In the same league based on ability there. Not in the same league based on World Cup chances. There was a context.

Icon4s:

With the World Cup in view Ezenwa and Ajiboye are not in the same league. Take note.

I stick to my words I’ve given up on Enyema. He is not going to meet Rohr’s conditions.

Off course, they are in the same local league but one pass one. grin

Tonight, I saw a very good keeper better than Ezenwa. It's shows that the best is not always preferred.

If Enyeama gets game time, I am afraid he is good to go.

honestly i don't have any words to say.. was just laughing all through the duration of the match. This is probably the worst team to wear Nigeria colours. No positive from the game, it's just a national disgrace.. No fighting spirit, no hunger, the most painful part is that the players ain't even good looking.. Bunch of ugly old men with falsified ages yet playing a style of football that best describes their looks. spits!

that's why I had to restrain myself from joining the train after his heroics as reported against Sudan.

Na so de want Uzoho to take charge because of his performance in 45min.

My brother, thank God I am not alone on this.

Even if Rohr had decided to do away with Enyeama, after this game thought of Enyeama will flash again.

I am not wholly sticking my head out for Enyeama o. But I know Rohr will think of him tonight. Maybe even make some enquiries about him.

Ezenwa has conceded less in open play although clocking more time for SE. the stats favor him.

Now, just imagine if that Sudan game was the only one Ajiboye kept goal.

What would have been the feeling tonight if Ezenwa was the one that conceded those 4goals.

Ajiboye had his own test today.

I am still my humble self. I don't trust any player that is not tested.

Uzoho must be given full 90mins in the game against Serbia.

So that he too will concede four too abi? Kolewerk!

Uzoho will do well... I believe he will. He will show again the gulf in class that exists between our local gks and the talented ones (like himself and Alampasu) groomed in Europe... Just wait for it and see....

See my brother, no be today I dey follow ball. When I say I have seen a lot in football believe me.

I don't allow the sentiment of my like for a particular player or set of players or popular opinion becloud my sense of judgment and analysis. I can be a lone ranger but I don't mind as long as I can defend my belief.

I don't trust any professional that is not tested. Same goes for footballers.

EMOTIONAL YOU CALL IT?

How do you explain a keeper who keep serving the opponent goals on a platter of gold. He was busy punching the balls down to their feet as if it is a drill section in training.

Ezenwa is ahead of them all.#fact.

Did you watch Ezenwa against Algeria away?

I think, i will wait for the friendlies to decide who is ahead.

Both local keepers are very flawed. Good shot stoppers but lack basic fundamentals.

Experience is important but we are in a peculiar situation. If Uzoho and Okoye prove their mettle in the high profile friendlies and are not overwhelmed by playing in Wembley, then they will be fine.

Ondoa was fairly inexperienced but was key in Cameroon's nations cup win.

To be fair the defense was at fault for some of the goals. Poor coordination, poor passes etc. For example, there was one where he came out and a defender came out in front of him (how I saw it anyway). I'm not saying he is perfect, but after the red card the defense was in shambles and Morocco took advantage of that.
Another one he dove, the ball hit the post, someone scored after the rebound. I don't think there would have been enough time to position himself properly to save the rebound. Before the red card I thought Osas was doing okay but after it his wing was just leaky. A goalkeeper cannot be blamed for everything.

you don't need this.

What baffles me most was how some folks were asking that chances should be given to players like osas, eze, orji to fight for shirt in the Super Eagles' defence. Players who can't organise themselves to keep an offside track. They were just opening spaces for the Morocans to run into.

I didn't know if it was the rain, but the defenders I saw today are not mobile and were easily overrun.

You mentioned two key factors here : (1) Experience (2) Being overwhelmed on match day

These are things you don't get to evaluate at the training ground.

The funny thing is none of our home based goalkeepers might make it to the WC Mundial.

I have said this before. WC isn't WAFU or CHAN where you make costly errors

And also, If any Nigerian member of our technical crew appears incompetent, they should be shown the exit door ASAP

Na true you talk.

It is better Aiyenugba, Uzoho and Alampasu go to the world Cup but if Enyeama is fit, Aiyenugba should be dropped and the other two should go because we need to start grooming new goalkeepers.

However, if Okoye and that French goalkeeper of Nigerian descent turns out good, then we should try them.

I wasn't priviledge to watch the Algeria second game(was the only eagles' worldcup match I missed) aside his childish act, I think he is good enough for the SEs if not as a number 1 then as a back up.

those boys are not the best in our leagues(NPFL & NNL). The defence was just wack. No coordination, no strategy, no organisation nothing nothing.

We suffered humilation in the hands of a decent side.

Oga blame anybody else but leave the defense out of it, bar Osas, the defense would have done well if they had a good midfield and a great DMF shielding them...

You all are not just good at reading matches

Right from WAFU we had no midfield, emphasis and blames mostly were on defense and attack forgetting that the cement (midfield) was completely unexisting... Imagine this man Salisu taking just 4 lousy midfielders to this tournament. God I am so livid right now

I repeat let Salisu stay far away from the main Super Eagles team before he infects Rohr with his incompetence

It is only a foolish man who keeps doing the same over and over but expecting different result...

Honestly there is something terribly wrong with the mind of a black man... Just see the way these Arabs teared us apart... We were in sixes and sevens at the start of the second half,... No coordination, no team work, can't mark, can't defend, can't string two to three passes together, and we couldn't attack...

Very terrible players

Is it how bad our players in the league are?... Even without tactics, can't they dribble?.. Can't they hold the ball?... Can't they pass accurately?

Atleast I see boys on the street holding the ball skillfully and comfortably

No wonder.. He was atrocious in the second leg. Most of the chances created by Algeria were GK error.

Ezenwa will make the team but if i hope some of the upcoming boys are better.

Likita mai alura, I didn't blame him for all the goals. But he made same costly and avoidable mistakes TWICE. I wouldn't have blame a much younger goalkeeper for those. But this guy is well in to his late 20s and as been keeping for over 10yrs.

Ajiboye's shot stopping was still on point today despite the four conceeded... He is a fantastic shot stopper unquestionably. But he is poor aerially and this is where Both Uzoho and Alampasu trumps him. Both are also very decent shot stoppers.

As for Ezenwa... The problem is this. I agree Ajiboye is slightly better but I forsee Rohr picking Ezenwa ahead of Ajiboye. Why? because of the WC qualifiers test Ezenwa passed.

How many of Uzoho and Alampasu games have you watched that you arrived at the conclusion they are good aerially?

Well, if Rohr decides to take Ezenwa to the world Cup based on sentiment, na em palaba be dat. My own be say make Ezenwa no man goal post for WC except Rohr is really sure, he is the best we have.
