Ezenwa has conceded less in open play although clocking more time for SE. the stats favor him.

I saw both played and my humble verdict is Ajiboye is better than Ezenwa.

Haba naa.... You no read my analyses? sad I give Ajiboye kudos for his shot stopping ability and that is not in doubt, he is awesome when it comes to shot stopping (but Ezenwa is also pretty good there).... but I was the very first person to point out his weakness from aerial balls just minutes into the game against Morocco.

Me I know who Rohr will pick between Ajiboye and Ezenwa. I know for sure who he will go with.

Icon4s:

You no trust Ajiboye again?
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 10:53pm On Feb 04, 2018
In that game alone against Argentina, Uzoho showed his aerial prowess. Not a debate sef.

As for Alampasu... He never keep for us but a few games seen of his back in Portugal before recent times also show his aerial strength. Alampasu is very good oooo... Sad we never see am in GWG. Chaaaiiii

And take it from me... Rohr will not make Ezenwa our no.1 for the WC. He will make the squad but He won't be no 1

forgiveness:

How many of Uzoho and Alampasu games have you watched that you arrived at the conclusion they are good aerially?

Well, if Rohr decides to take Ezenwa to the world Cup based on sentiment, na em palaba be dat. My own be say make Ezenwa no man goal post for WC except Rohr is really sure, he is the best we have.

Talking about aerial balls.

Thank God that first goal never counted. ..but what difference does it make anyways. We still got trashed.

Sir it's like you didn't get me. How long will it take for us to ascertain who is best among them? Are we going to wait until the final camping?

If our GK coaches know what they are doing, by now they should already have two serious contenders. These two GKs should have full game times in all the friendlies. It's one thing to get the best, it's another thing to prepare the best for that big stage. If Uzoho is the best, he should get the majority of game time in the friendlies before the World Cup. That will give him enough preparation for the tournament proper. Likewise, if it's Ajiboye or Ezenwa.

What you are saying is right but unfortunately, the goalkeeper trainer did not screen or prepare the best. We can not cheat the right path. We have to get it right and it starts from the screening.

No positive from the game, it's just a national disgrace.. No fighting spirit, no hunger, the most painful part is that the players ain't even good looking.. Bunch of ugly old men with falsified ages yet playing a style of football that best describes their looks. spits!

Oga blame anybody else but leave the defense out of it, bar Osas, the defense would have done well if they had a good midfield and a great DMF shielding them...

You all are not just good at reading matches

Right from WAFU we had no midfield, emphasis and blames mostly were on defense and attack forgetting that the cement (midfield) was completely unexisting... Imagine this man Salisu taking just 4 lousy midfielders to this tournament.
God I am so livid right now

I repeat let Salisu stay far away from the main Super Eagles team before he infects Rohr with his incompetence

It is only a foolish man who keeps doing the same over and over but expecting different result...

Honestly there is something terribly wrong with the mind of a black man... Just see the way these Arabs teared us apart... We were in sixes and sevens at the start of the second half,... No coordination, no team work, can't mark, can't defend, can't string two to three passes together, and we couldn't attack...

Very terrible players

Is it how bad our players in the league are?... Even without tactics, can't they dribble?.. Can't they hold the ball?... Can't they pass accurately?

Atleast I see boys on the street holding the ball skillfully and comfortably
look, I had to leave those ones out. Right from day 1, Everyone knows that our midfield and attack has nothing to right home about.

The defence was my focus while watching the game reason that Many here have been tipping some of those boys to unsurp players like Balogun and co in the main team.

Yeah.... When thatgoal went in I was mad at Ajiboye. I was like, "Man! Don't you remember what your height is like?!!" angry

It was chalked off but yeah the inevitable still happened all leaked thru the wing of Osas Okoro... Best RB at the CHAN grin God! Cannot believe that Osas was called Best RB at the CHAN on this very thread! Just preposterous!

Likita mai alura, I didn't blame him for all the goals. But he made same costly and avoidable mistakes TWICE. I wouldn't have blame a much younger goalkeeper for those. But this guy is well in to his late 20s and as been keeping for over 10yrs.

I understand where you are coming from but I don't think there's any difference between him and Ezenwa. Ezenwa is more playful so I prefer Ajiboye. Ezenwa did the same against Algeria, they just did not take advantage of it.
Also our leagues and academies do not seem to be the place to train young players so I think that generally, across the leagues (NPFL,NNL,etc), you will find that most goalkeepers are like this.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 11:00pm On Feb 04, 2018
I answered the one on Alampasu haven't I? I watched just a few of his... As for Uzoho, his aerial prowess against Argentina showed for sure. That is what I am responding to.

No worry, no much talk... I suppose you should also question Rohr's faith in same young lads coz he has them already prepped up ahead of the friendlies and for bigger responsibilities at the WC especially Uzoho.

Enegi was our only lifeline on that pitch until he was sent off. The boy is good sha. He is another positive from this CHAN.

Congratulations to the Moroccans for their well deserved victory.

I think this is the worst assembled Nigerian team ever. The defenders were atrocious. Zero ability to control the ball and the strategy of play was horrendous.

Worst offender was Ikuowem or what so ever his name is. That guy took leaving gaps to a whole new level.

I bet if there was an award for most dribbled player, he would have gotten it.

The Gulf in class was too much and I hope we learn from this.

I will still talk about the selection process. I think a camp screening process with players from not just the pro league would have given us a more quality selection.

I hope we approach this tournament with more seriousness.

ma'am, I know how irritating Ezenwa's playfulness can be. But I think it is his own way of calming things down.

Anyway, the only GK I prefer and trust is out and lost in exile- Vincent Enyeama. Others na manage manage.

Ajiboye showed ball stopping ability. He can not be blamed when his defenders were beyond awful.

I will still take him any day over Ezenwa. By the way, if Ezenwa was in goal, he would have been massacred too.

Ikuowem or what so ever his name is was a bigger culprit than Osas Okoro. Don't you remember one of his missed clearance that led to I think the third goal?

It was his wing that put so much pressure on Eneji which finally led to a red. That guy is atrocious.

Mbanu! Osas Okoro takes first place in gaps leaving, poor marking, and most dribbled player on the pitch... They ghosted pass him with consummate ease and all goals came through build up via his wing.

His wing was the true leakage. Ikwuowem Udoh was good and better than Osas.

How I wish there is a way I can keep our best in the league!

Every season, our best get shipped out and we are left with shafts..

Every season, some even go to leagues as low as Cambodian league!

Today embarrassed me meen.. went out to watch it and I got tired of explaining to other viewers.

I surely know these sets (some) aren't our best.

Olatunbosi would have at least added more bite to the forward line.

Oluwa is also have been useful in the midfield only that he's very "short".

And too many old legs in the league!

I totally disagree. The same Ikuowem that there was even a time he was dribbled twice on the same spot. He was skinned repeatedly with ease.
