Huge congrats to you.

IELTS is becoming an overall joke afterall and this is obviously not peculiar to Nigeria alone. Most likely, they do this on purpose just to ensure people keep comng back to write the exam. I gave up on them few years ago when I realised they were only going to turn me into a cash machine . The minute Canada decides to adopt an additional English testing agency, the rocks is sure to be where they are headed.

Oopsy:
I got encouraged here, so I'm also back to encourage another yet again... On IELTS

1st attempt: LRSW - 7.5,8,8,7
2nd attempt: LRSW - 8.5,8,7,6.5

Requested EOR on Speaking and Writing and after 10 weeks, my results came:

LRSW - 8.5,8,8.5,8. CRS did triple long jump from 374 to 424!

If CIC says so, what other confirmation do you need? lol

But yes you need PCC if you stay 6 months

Welcome to the family. You have a good profile.
Listening in your IELTS did you in though. You need to rewrite to score at least an 8 and then try to maintain the same scores for the other components wink Hope you have started your degree evaluation sha? I am assuming you have read from page 0. We will be happy to answer specific answers you might have about your application process. Ok bye smiley

No o. CIC has changed the rule to one month.
So you need PCC biko. Don't even try yourself.

I hope with this few points if mine, I have been able to convince you to waste your money. #Okbye.

Good morning o!

Happy Sunday ooo!!!

Quick question my people.

My friend has no professional certification. She works as an Admin in a hospital. Her NOC falls under Medical Admin assistant 1223 (i think). She's young with 4yrs experience. Shes has a very good chance of a high CRS once she aces IELTS.

I have convinced her to try the EE route but She's worried not having a professional certification might spoil her application.

Pls can i just get a written verification from our seniors that her experience is just about enough and faith in God's work, so i can convince her to start this.

Thanks in advance

Good morning you do not need a PCC provided you get your ITA and submit before you clock 6months.

However, if the process drags and you are still there for up to 6 months whilst your application is being reviewed, I am thinking a zealous VO may request for one. Just my thoughts though. It is not impossible.

I agree. If its not stressful and expensive he might as well just get it and include it with the application now.

This may also help!

EXPRESS ENTRY APPLICATION LIFE CYCLE:

A basic summary (P.S. Timelines and order may vary based on country and stream):

1. eAOR - electronic Acknowledgement of Receipt - a templated letter saying that your application is submitted with the application number mentioned (applicants may use this to apply for a BOW Permit, if applicable);

2. Meds Passed - Medicals Pass and file is initially opened to check for R10 satisfaction at the CIO (Central Intake Office);

3. BG IP(1) - Background Check in Progress for the first time - usually happens on the same day your Meds Pass. At this stage they check for all documents and that whether the applicant is not missing any documents. They are not scrutinized at this stage, except for Police Clearance certificate (dates, and period is covered based on your answers from the Personal and Travel History); Additional docs (like Schedule A, Travel History, Family Info, Proof of something, etc.) may be requested at this stage.

4. *Next Step is to conduct a Background Check - NBG (not all applicants see this) - This is usually only when an applicant submits an RCMP report and thus the security check is done later.

5. BG NA - Not Applicable - usually happens between 1-2 months from eAOR. This is where applicants' first phase of A11.1 Eligibility and documents are checked by the CIO. At this stage the agent checks if the points match, are above the round's ITA points, eligibility under the stream is met, points are claimed genuinely and if there are no irregularities in the docs or work exp, NOC, etc. After this the application is sent to the Local Visa Office (LVO) for finalization and second checks.

6. BG IP(2) - Background Check in Progress for the second time - This is the stage wherein the LVO opens the file to check your entire application and confirm the notes and insights from the CIO agent. Eg. proof of funds, letter of employment, if any; This usually happens after all the security, criminality and eligibility is all okay. and at around the 4 months mark from the eAOR.

7. PPR - Passport Request email - Ready for Visa/Demande Finalé - This is the email which every applicant stresses and waits for, it is on this forum also known as The Golden Email. This means the officer is satisfied and has approved your application also has requested your passport (if needed) or photocopy of passport (if from visa-exempt country) along with 2 photos and annex A form, to stamp the Immigrant Visa and issue the CoPR - Confirmation of Permanent Residency (a letter serving proof that you are a PR). It is this letter used for "landing" at the border and in officially becoming a Permanent Resident. This letter is later also used for citizenship application (if applicable).

Thanks for this. I really appreciate it.

Sorry to bother you. What I mean is that am aware she can claim point for relative in canada if she is the Principal Applicant(PA) cos that's her biological sister but we are thinking of switching the principal applicant to me cos of my higher IELTS result. Been the In-law to her, can I still claim that same point? Pls help.
Ethelia:

Yes, you can claim points for her and you get 15points.

LRSW - 8.5,8,8.5,8. CRS did triple long jump from 374 to 424!

Well, when i received the EOR, I started crying (LOL). I really can't say what happens at BC or why it happens, but if you know that you know that you know you did better than what you got (in speaking and writing o), request for a remark. It may take time (10 weeks no be here sha), but at the end, it is worth it.

Let her not waste more time please. Her education doesn't have anything to do with work experience in this case. She is fine with her BSc. Hoping she gets enough points based on age and IELTS.

This information is not accurate.

Who needs a police certificate?
In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate.

You may need a police certificate from any country or territory that you have spent six months or more since the age of 18.

For example: if you visited, worked or lived in a country for two months, left for a few years, then returned for four months, that counts as spending six months there. In this case, you would need a certificate.

If you need a police certificate from a country or territory and:

are currently living there, or received the police certificate before leaving, the police certificate must be issued within six months before you apply.
have lived there in the past, the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory.
