Buying Cars From Cotonou Or Togo, which Is Cheaper? by phranco(m): 2:08pm On Feb 23, 2013 |
A friend of mine once told me that buying car from Togo is far much cheaper than buying from cotonou because they dont pay import duty tax.He further told me that his uncle bought a toyota camry pencil light for 300k,the papers 100k and the driver that drove it down 2 Naija 50k making a total expenses of 450k.he said they gave him a custom clearance paper called 'la passe' that will cover the car against naija custom until he gets the car license. He also said his friend bought a mitsibushi bus for 450k,then both papers and driver 200k making a total expense of 650k down 2 naija.so pls, auto gurus in the house,i want u guys 2 comment on this whether his claims are true or not.cos i want 2 travel 2 togo as well for my first ride so that i wont make any mistake.thanks. 1 Like |
