Hello. Congrats on your PPR. Your story is quite insightful. can u please explain more on how u defended your "ineligibility due to NOC mismatch", since they deduce this based on your job reference letter" or did u submit another reference letter?
ladyAy:
Hello family, got the golden mail today. Here's my timeline and some points that might be useful.
AOR: 1st Sept 2017
MP: 8th Sept
NA1: not sure
IP1: not sure
NA2: not sure (I noticed it was NA when I started checking actively in November)
IP2: Jan 29th - Jan 31st
PPR: Feb 7th.
Family of 4, Visa office- Ottawa, 1 UK visa refusal for my husband , moderate travel history

1. I'm a self employed pharmacist and am the primary applicant so it wasn't a smooth sail at all as there were many grey areas regarding proof of employment and funds. For proof of employment We submitted CAC documents, all my annual licenses( both personal and for my pharmacy for the last 4years) PAYE tax receipts for my employees and myself, no letter of explanation (wasn't a good idea at all).
2. For POF, I transferred half of the amount required from my business account a few days before we submitted our application to my personal account and fixed it in T bills. We then drafted a board resolution and stated we as directors of the bank have decided to take the said sum from the profits of the business. Then my husband provided the remaining with his savings account statement (6months), a letter from his bank and a letter of indebtedness as well, we also added his pensions so we had at least 1M over the required POF to allow for foreign exchange fluctuations.

In December we decided to order gcms notes, all thanks to this wonderful thread. The results came in mid January and mehn I got a rude shock. The officer that reviewed my application in the CIO stated that I had not met eligibility requirements because of my NOC..., that i didnt give evidence of documentation from 3rd party individuals indicating nature of work done ..blah blah blah.

Honestly I don't know where and how I got the strength cos at this point was tired. Anyways we put all we could together I.e receipts from some suppliers, snap shots of emails, snapshots of our social media pages and websites, the contract from my security company etc. Then I wrote a comprehensive LOE.

Then we sent an email via the CSE page and attached all these. I got a reply after 5 days stating they had sent it to the office processing my application and would be contacted if further documents were needed.
Fast forward to IP2 and yay..victory at last. No ADRs

Thank you all for sharing your experiences and answering questions . May all our dreams come true. grin grin

I'm sorry but what is wrong with reading the 84 pages in YOUR GCMS notes?

I know you have apologised already, eventually when you order a GCSM note you will see what promoted his/her question. I read mine for like three days before getting the hang of it. Mind you i had read discussions on canadavisa of how to read notes but still.

You may need to read that again. It was not a case of NOC mismatch. She said the VO claimed they didn't provide sufficient documentation from third party individuals for jobs they did. They now gathered all they could and raised a CSE with an LOE.

Hi guys,

Is there any write up or guide on how to understand GCMS notes? Its a whole 84 pages and Im not sure what part is relevant. Please help

84 pages is quite small . That would show little or no activity by the VO. Check pages 2-3 to see the summary of your file and also the last few pages. When was your AOR? I think you may have ordered too early. Mine was 183pages and didn't contain much.

In hindsight, we truly should have waited a bit. Although we found in the notes after much studying that eligibility & criminality have been passed. AOR was 31st October. Application has been on NA before and after ADR late November so we hoped the notes will prompt some sort of activity. VO is Ottawa btw.

I don't think you can use the ICAN certificate to claim points for two or more certificates. What is the ECA summary (check "remarks" )?

She went ahead to explain how she tackled it. She is self employed but did not provide customer tesimonials and some other documents that could succesfully proof that she performed the duties of her chosen NOC. She did that after seeing the GCMS notes ....she raised a CSE.

Hi....you can get any correspondence/letter addressed to you with your house address on it. You can also get another bank's if you have more than one. Alternatively, get one of your parents(the one whose name is on the utility bill for your home address) to do a letter that you live with with them and do not have any proof of address in your name and submit two utility bills in the parents name(e.g. lawma and electricity). That's what I was told to do though when I had issues with mine.

CannyDoll:
Top of the morning people, I am trying to get my PCC from the UK and they are requesting 2 proof of address, I can get one from the bank, I still live with my parents therefore house bills are not in my name. Has anyone done a UK PCC from Nigeria? Pls what did you use for proof of address. Thanks in advance for your answer.

I didn't see anything like remarks only saw summary, I am looking at the PDF copy from my Wes page I can only see summary and not remark. The summary is Bachelor's degree (4 years)

Thanks everyone wink. This journey must end in praise for us all. Please i have some questions.
For the American babies, did you send both American and Nigerian passports? We used details of both passports in the application.
Secondly pls about the IMM00..form mentioned in the ppr email, is that for everyone to fill. If yes pls where do we download it from.
Thirdly there's no address in the email. They just mentioned we should send passports to the Ghana office. How and where can we get the right address. Please would appreciate your responses and any link with more detailed info on how to proceed
.
