Icon4s: Yea I hope Nike got us covered..similar precipitation also, the jet stream from north pole is also similar to the one in russia since the earth is constantly spinning in a counter clockwise direction, also taking into account the effects of lakes around which ever city they are playing.. Most likely some days might be rainy depending on the city they would be.. I just want them to account for every possible factors that could affect player performance...I'm really hopeful for this world cup. 1 Like |

2018 NPFL-LaLiga U-15 Coaching seminar begins in Abuja 2018 NPFL-LaLiga U-15 Coaching seminar begins in Abuja The second edition of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL)-LaLiga coaching clinic for Nigerian youth coaches officially kicked off in Abuja on Wednesday. The coaching clinic is designed to train youth coaches on how to properly develop and manage young talents using the LaLiga methodology. The five-day clinic with 50 youth coaches in attendance will hold at the National Stadium, Abuja from February 7 to 11 and it officially precedes the NPFL U-15 Promises Tournament which is scheduled to start in April across different locations in Nigeria. Present at the opening ceremony were League Management Company (LMC) Chief Operating Officer, Salihu Abubakar; Assistant Technical Director, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Coach Siji Lagunju; LaLiga delegate in Nigeria, Javier del Rio; LaLiga Ambassador, Mutiu Adepoju; and LaLiga coaching instructors, Luciano Martel Santana and Antonio Alvarez. Speaking at the press conference, the LMC Chief Operating Officer, Salihu Abubakar said, “We are excited to kick off the 2nd edition of the coaching clinic. Last year’s edition was a huge success. Today marks another great day in our partnership with LaLiga, as they are the best league in the world, and we too aspire to be the best”. LaLiga Ambassador in Nigeria and ex Super Eagles star, Mutiu Adepoju had this to say at the press conference “This is a follow up from the success of the 1st edition last year, at a much higher level. I hope the coaches not only listen but attempt to implement the insights received, and relay to their various teams”. Also speaking at the press conference was LaLiga delegate in Nigeria, Javier del Rio, who said “We have been developing LaLiga for a number of years now, and Nigeria has huge potential in football, but lacks grassroots development. We truly believe that this clinic and the U-15 tournament coming up in a few weeks will really help with the development of football in Nigeria. We are bringing top international coaches from Spain to help achieve this”. The NPFL-LaLiga partnership was signed in 2016 and has since recorded a number of exchange projects between the two leagues, including a tour of Spain by an NPFL All-Star team, the opening of the LaLiga Nigeria office in Abuja, and the U-15 tournament. bengine: Yeah another food for thought. But whether the Earth Rotates Clockwise or anticlockwise depends on whether you are viewing it from the North or South pole. Safer to say it rotates from West to East. Talking about the Jetstream, you are right about that. The same Polar jets streams control precipitation in the Northern hemisphere. Simple interpretation is rainy season in Nigeria is rainy season in Russia(Nigeria is in the Northern hemisphere). But the Polar Jets stream has closer relationship on North America, Europe and Russia due to their relative proximity to the North Pole. Literally speaking, we should expect rains in Russia during Summer. Good observation from you bro. But I also believe Nike technology experts should know all these and design boots with good grips. |

Mujtahida: Ademola Lookman 20 yrs old, born in small Lagos (Peckham) started playing in the Championship at 17. Has had 74 senior games in the English league system, 15 in the EPL. Everton paid £11million. position Forward Winger. Seyi Ojo born in London 20 years old. Played 61 senior professional games predominantly in the championship with 13 for Liverpool. Valued at over £15million. Position Forward left sided Winger. Victor Osimhen born in Lagos,Nigeria, 19 years old, played 9 games for Wolfsburg. Valuation too early to state. Will not talk about Tega and I criticised the call for Josh Maja hasn't done anything to merit a call for the SE so far beyond playing a handful of games for Sunderland. So considering the pedigree of Ademola and Seyi is there any basis to compare them to Osimhen. In that regard as it stands is it wrong to have greater expectation on the players who have shown so much more ability I am not talking about speculative promise but actual performances. Finally, you have assumed bias and prejudice that's why you jumped to a negative deduction without any iota of basis beyond your own self judgement. I expressed neither expectation or skepticism just hope. So in this regard who is being negative 1 Like |

Liverpool could look to Nigerian international for summer transfer by David Gate Liverpool will be in the market for another central midfielder in the summer and could prioritize Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi. Ask a Liverpool fan what the best midfield combo is at Anfield and you will get a hundred different answers. The club is in need of some fresh blood in the central area, particularly in defensive areas. The answer to that problem may lie in Nigerian international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi . The Leicester man has been a mainstay in the Foxes’ midfield and has impressed in his first season in the Premier League. He arrived from Belgian side Genk last summer to fill gap left by Ngolo Kante in 2016. At just 21-years-old he is developing into a dominate force in the anchor role at the King Power stadium. Liverpool have a number of decent options but none who are naturally defensive. Jordan Henderson has often been asked to play a holding role. However he has always been most effective as a box-to-box player who drifts right. Gini Wijnaldum is a pass first, recycler of the ball. His defensive instincts are okay but that isn’t his strength. Jurgen Klopp can rely on James Milner to do anything he is asked to do. But at 32-years-old he isn’t the future of the Liverpool midfield. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is an attacker through and through. Emre Can is the most defensive option we have but he is likely leaving on a free transfer in July . Some are hoping that Naby Keita will improve things defensively when arrives from RB Leipzig in the summer. While he is workaholic and a ferocious tackler, he is not a player who can sit deep at the base of midfield and marshal the area in front of the center backs. Wilfred Ndidi would be an excellent addition and offer something that no-one else at the club can do. He would give Liverpool that midfield protection we haven’t had since Mascherano left in 2010. All things suggest he would grow under Klopp and patrol the Reds’ midfield with Keita for years to come.
