Very true. And the amazing thing is that you can't even tell its going so fast!

Yes! Sad we don't have anything remotely like those trains in Nigeria. The sad and baffling thing is that Nigeria has more than enough money to purchase hundreds of those trains, and expand our rail networks to cover the entire length and breadth of our nation. Unfortunately our leaders both past and present are corrupt, stupid, selfish and wicked !

Explorers:
The freezing conditions in many parts of the country has posed a further challenge for transport authorities with railway workers removing snow and ice from roads and tracks to ensure passenger safety during travel.

we no get such problem here, they should bring them to Nigeria

Those trains are comfy like there's no tomorrow. I've ridden in them so many times. I wish we had something half this good in Nigeria.
I had you and SmooshCHN in mind once I saw the thread. I also noticed from the picture, the spacing between each row is distant enough for even a tall person; I may be wrong. Then again, I believe they built thes themselves and not call on any country to do so. If they had called on another country, I am positive the would not have had the number of HS trains they do now and this brings me to asking: when do we get things right here? When are we going to appreciate our own just like China did theirs? I remember then, people insulting their products, but now, many Nigerians try to order things from them. Same happened with the Japs, they were criticized by Western countries on their inferior products but now, they rule in certain advanced fields. Be that as it may, China's trains cannot surpass those of the Japanese for now because it seems those guys constantly improve the speed of theirs. cool

I am hoping to join you both soon. smiley

After reading a response on Quora about what China has offered the world, I was awed.

Explorers, pictures like these make Nigerians to keep believing the 'shithole' comments. grin

Ok I'm gonna help you. From your house take a bus, marwa(keke napep) or okada to Iyana ipaja and from there take another one to sango ota. From there take another to Abeokuta. From there to sagamu and board a bus to ojota. After that take a molue to oshodi and from oshodi get another one going to mile 2. At mile 2, you'll heard apapa apapa. Take the apapa bus and alight at wharf bus stop. So finally get a bus going to oyingbo and once you get to oyingbo, china buses are there and it direct to china. Tank me once you get there safely
