entparrot: 10k vs 2k. Seems you not so sure of your diagnosis. Let's make it easier. Ifyeez, just remove the filter and test, if it works the parrot was correct an I owe you 10k Filter clog is caused by dirt and restricts the flow of air. When that happens you would have to use the blower fan at higher speeds to get cabin to cool. Removing filter temporarily to test has eliminated the clog. Waiting for results. 2 Likes |

Boss in the house, my Toyota corolla 2008 car AC is not blowing cold air. i took it to a car AC repairer for gas topping he said the system is not allowing gas topping that the compressor is bad that i'll need to change it for about 35,000 and that he will change it to a manual compressor instead of the automatic compressor that came with the car. BOSS i need your advice , i dont have that kind of money right now. what should i do? |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by slamstanlee(m): 7:25pm On Feb 09, 2018 |
thebigkendo:yea... A healthy car AC shouldn't leak out gas and should last for up 2 years when fixed and gas refilled. According to my AC guy sha... I replaced ur no. 1 and 2 and i was delivered |

payne4real: from my experience with that model of toyota, the compatible toyota single displacement (manual) compressor that will fit cost about 60,000. Others will cause your car to vibrate horribly when they engage. You need to review your budget. |

GAZZUZZ: Less than 2k, is what it cost with my recommendation to fix the ac, instead of him to think the money will be waste as thebigkendo suggested. Why are you missing the part, the guy says ac works and chill only morning and evening, but during hot afternoon not so cool. I have had couple of the same experiences in the past, and what I recommended worked for me, and still working. Now since you suggest it won't work, I challenge u to tell us, what will work, you break down my explanation as an expert, now break down ur 10k diagnosis. 7 Likes |

thebigkendo: It's not normal, but it's chilling, I have never change compressor or condenser or do any major ac work. If I'm doing anything wrong, my ac would have been destroyed, but it's stronger. 2 Likes |

entparrot: This is my advice, you do not have to dislike gazzuzz for his charges. He is only selling his expertise which does not come cheap and besides he is an Ibo man who is not in Lagos to play. Although his charges might be a little expensive for an average Joe,however in the long run , it is good an experienced mechanic handle your car. From my findings,GAZZUZZ is good and very honest. Sometimes it is actually cheaper to diagnose some problems and fix it at once than trying different Kazeems GAZZUZZ do you still need to diagnose this issue when you already know the solution to this type of problems at least you may not trouble shout. 3 Likes |

jarkbauer: Who is disliking who? I have no problem with anybody. Someone stated exactly the same problem, I have faced in the past, and I gave my honest opinion. And it has worked for me. slamstanlee confirm the same thing. Even my house ac, if the filter not clean, the ac won't chill properly. So tell me where the dislike is coming from, we should stop sharing opinions and follow only gazzuz opinion? Any question you ask gazzuz diagnosis, you have a flat tire, diagnosis! Na wow! 16 Likes |

entparrot: I can smell beef with gazzuzz. He is free to collect diagnosis fees. I think gazzuzz trained abroad. "In the abroad" you will get a quote for diagnosis, price for replacements parts, the actual fixing and tax. and this is his model. You know it is like when we are sick, instead of going to hospital for proper diagnosis we go to chemist and the chemist will treat us.Some people will even call their doctor friends or neighbors for free diagnosis. 4 Likes |

slamstanlee: My brother drove Camry tiny light for 8 years. He did not top any gas. He only air-washed his condenser and changed filter. The Ac was working when he sold it last year. |

jarkbauer: GAZZUZZ train abroad? Oh no, he is train in Aba I can't believe he is train abroad and behave this way. People who train abroad will explain in details to you, not when he has an idea, kept mute with the options, but only direct u to the option of spending naira b4 giving u any answer. That's Aba trick... Just like when u go to a good doctor, and your body is hot, he will tell you is either malaria or typhoid or this or that, but a proper test will tell you what is wrong. Not just throw you straight to test, with no explanation or anything. 11 Likes |

My advice. Be your own first mechanic. An experienced driver should be technically inclined about his/her car. Watch them and learn a few things. Then when it's more than what you can handle, call your expert/mechanic/electrician. The other day i had a flat tire on eko bridge, and i had to call LASTMA and response unit. Cos i couldn't place the jack very well. Now i can change all 4 tires. About the AC cabinet filter, i saw how my ac man removed it and blew the dirts out. 3 months later, i carefully open where it's located (quite easy) blew the dirts myself. And i will do that again if need be. 6 months ago my kick starter wouldn't kick, just when my riders entered the car... I had to go look for the closest KAZEEM electrician around saka tinubu. I didn't know how he joined wires and started the car, then we drove to his workshop. He tapped the starter several times with a metal and it started. But he said my starter needed some touches.... (i suspect friction or rusts) He took it out and worked on it, then he said i may never encounter that again soon. This morning after cleaning my car, tried to start it, but was hearing this tick tick sound from within. I flashed back! Took a metal from my boot tapped the starter several times and voila! It working till now... And i hope not to go there another six months... Or was it when the fan stopped working in my uncle's car, i just pressed firmly the connector and it came back to life... Or is it about brake hydraulic oil lickage.? What to do? Or is it radiator coolant i bought myself and put in our blue car, for just 450...same coolant i bought 2000 at uber inspection center yaba... So many experiences... You have to learn every day. Pay attention to your car, ask questions... But no go do oversabi.... But if it's beyond what you have experienced or can handle consult people like GAZZUZZ or ur preferred/trusted mechanics.... (Na who send me this plenty epistle sef). Lol.... Cheers! 25 Likes |

Good evening house. I must sincerely commend every member of this group most especially, those who have honestly shared their experiences & opinions here. Please I'll need your honest advice. I just registered with uber & the car I'll be driving is Camry 08(muzzle) with weekly payment of 40k. Please is this OK? And if not, how much can U advise me to take it that I'll still be making my own money as a driver? Thanks. Waiting for your prompt & honest advice. 1 Like |
