Right issue is to raise money for continue operation with forward looking statement. If the money been channel properly it will further boost the performance of the company.

It's good for long term, but for short term it will affect the stock EPS and PE, because the number of the outstanding shares will increase.

For instance, when 5 people share #1 hundred thousand, each will get #20 thousand only, but when you increase the number of people to 10, and they still have #1 hundred thousand to share, their earning will reduce to #10 thousand each.

That's exactly what right issue does, number of share will increase as the number of people increase. The proceed of the right issue will contribute on the long run, not immediately.

I prefer companies giving bonus than right issue, because in bonus you are not paying any money, but number of share increases and the EPS reduces, but still the same when you calculate it with that of bonus you received.

Bonus and right issues are two different things o.

While one doesn't involve raising money, the other involves raising funds. A company that needs funds will come via IPO issuance, rights issuance, bonds sale etc but not via bonus. Bonus is not for capital raising. So you can't prefer this to that in this context.

Is good to share idea, pls are your of opinion that we should close down our companies and run for good. Because cash is king in NSE. 2008 affected me badly, and I will never wish any member such experience.
Fear catches me as I check today crude oil price, see blood everywhere, since last week, it first started with international stock market, this week it gradually started with NSE, if NSE/ international stock market/ crude oil price closes on negative side next week Monday and Tuesday, you will know that there is fire on the mountain.

Am counting on the Saudi's for oil stability. Whether in or out of the market, a crash of the oil price won't pay anybody at all.....

Who told you? A cheaper oil will kill the shale industry. When prices reset, they will show again.

(The part in bold) This reminds me of a story.

A husband in Nigeria called his wife in the UK and told her that her cat is dead. The wife cried and later explained to him that he should stop breaking sad news like that. Instead of breaking such sudden news, that he should first call and say that her cat is on the roof. After some days, he call and say her cat fell from the roof and broker its leg. After some days, call again and say that the cat was taken to the hospital and died in the process.
The husband apologized and told her it will not repeat again.

After one week, the husband called her and said : YOUR MUM IS ON THE ROOF!

I don't pump and dump. I can only analyze stocks and give a price it can be priced in future based on available details (now) and also based on general mass psychology.

Now why do you want people to buy Union bank? This bank has minus N254b in retained earnings. Since the crisis started in 2009 when SLS intervened in those banks, they have not paid dividends. This is almost 9 years. With this type of retained earnings, when do you think dividend will be paid?

You should be accused of pumping and dumping. grin

A young man bought a dog and named it mario.
He loves the dog so much.one day he got married and the wife did not conceive for many years.
Both of them love mario to the extent of not bothering for a baby.
Mario was very strong and wild to strangers.Mario never allow armed robbers to penetrate into the owners compound.
This happens for years.one day the man's wife took in and had a baby boy. They shifted their attention(love) to their baby more than mario.Mario wasnt happy .

one day,the man and his wife went to their farm in the backyard leaving mario and the baby.Mario ran to the backyard with blood full on his mouth and body. The couple saw the dog and they thought that mario has killed their baby. They decided to kill mario. They quickly ran to the baby's room and saw a big snake beheaded and their son was ok.

I have been accused of all sorts here grin today they will say I'm the cause of the bear in NSE. Tomorrow they will say that using foreign indices to compare Nigerian market. Next they will say it is because I have sold.

Markets are closely configured somehow. Before one finishes trading, another one has started. Asia markets start midnight while we are sleeping. It runs till we wake and while it is about closing European markets start. NSE starts after EU markets. These trades continue till afternoon. NSE closes butt EU markets still stay open till US market starts. Remember that with technology, news reach faster than before.

If Asia markets are green, EU markets willl likely be green. Before close of EU markets and US markets open with Dow losing 1,000 points for example, immediately all EU markets will become bearish at close. If US market continues its redness till closure , remember that Asia markets will open our midnight, investors will fret and want to go for safety. So the domino continue.

People have not studies these, instead they attack the messenger who predicts an outcome that will certainly happen. Why will it certainly happen? Because we are all humans....we fear losing our lives, we fear losing properties, we fear losing money. So human (inexperienced ones) will naturally fret and take off. If he does that, he tells others. The others come in as a herd and the rest is what we see now.

As for those events affecting NSE, who are these FPIs? They are foreigners. They will want to sell or stop buying stocks in your country. Why? They need to understand what is the cause of the events in their country. Indirectly, it affects NSE because they are no longer buying like they used to or they had started selling.

I have pieced all these together and extrapolated them and advised. Instead what I get is names. Continue grin

I'm L shocked shocked King at una on my mattress. grin

Technically if Oil can not get support around 60 and 57 is taken out, Oil is in a bear market. OPEC should do something or at least say something bullish this coming week to give support to price

Oga US inventory shows a sharp increase. It is just to wait it out. If on Monday, the slide makes oil hit 59 or 60, people should take cover.

You will be seeing news of addition of more and more rigs for drilling oil in the US. That way the oil will crash the more.

Saudi is yet to start their madness. As in lower is better! Though they are cash strapped but they believe oil is their weapon. Will they use lower is better by pumping as fast as possible to depress prices and chase away shale drillers or will they meet and cut production for price to rise? The latter will mean that OPEC will be selling lower volumes just for price to rise while the US keeps distorting price and sell higher volumes.

Point of correction, I didn't say that they are the same. I compared them in number of outstanding shares increase.

Note, in both bonus giving and right issue offer, the number of outstanding shares increases, and number that will share the annual earning rises, and this reduces the EPS, as larger number share the total earning.

And of recent years, companies hardly give bonus, but what we mostly see is right issue, or have you see any company that go for right issue and also give bonus. ( both increases the number of outstanding shares)
