Earlier in the game, I said Nacho will get lost in such a game and that's the reason he was drop for a more mobile and energetic Diabate. But some folks here came for my head. Aside the pass he laid down for Vardy and a foul he drew off a city player, he was totally lost. He offered nothing defencely and that was ONE of the reasons I think he was drop for Diabate and not QUALITY as some we have us think. Leicester played a 3-5-2 formation on paper in the first half with diabate partnering vardy up front. But on the field it was some sort of defensive 3-6-1 with Diabate roaming about to provide cover(which Nacho CAN'T and WON'T provide) and that is the TACTICAL switch I was talking about earlier on. I expect Nacho to start their next game. To those asking me for facts/stat. I hope you can get it now that the game over. 1 Like |

LieDetector: Brother please grow up u are simply wasting ur life away, u dont know anything about technical football, u are just simply hating on someone that doesnt give a shit abt u, i bet if diabete was a Nigerian u wld av mocked him cos he did nothing fantastic today, infact the match was beyond him. if u say iheanacho was that bad then what will u say of schmeicel?? What u dont know is that diabete was bought as a replacement for mahrez and he is not a striker, the only person nacho is competing is vardy, unfortunately leicester cant play two strikers considering the opponent they are playing, watch ur words cos even nacho is getting more game time than gray and no one has said gray has dropped form. 8 Likes |

LieDetector:I understood you and your point of view immediately you said "Nacho isn't good enough". Nacho isn't your kind of player- A player that has FLAIR. But his QUALITY is not in doubt. I am sure he'll come good. Happy he is getting back his mojo. |

safarigirl:Ma'am, go through my post again. Leicester's set-up was way different from what we know them with. They filed out in a 3-5-2 formation with Vardy and Diabate(played behind) playing upfront. In another game Nacho will pair vardy. But this one, the strategy employed by the coach favoured Diabate. Mahrez on the other has missed two of their last games prior to today's game and he only trained yesterday in almost 2weeks. So the reason he started off the bench is not far fetch. |

AIG07: Puel was back to his old self. Negative football. That was why he left out some of his creative force including Gray, Mahrez (although the City drama made the decision easy) and Iheanacho. Diabate offers more defensively, that was why he was selected over Nacho. In a more offensive setup, Nacho would have been picked ahead of him. The goal Leicester City scored in the first half was kind of a Greek gift because it prevented an early offensive change. We saw the introduction of Danny Simpson. When Nacho came in, the harm was already done. Even teams like Barcelona with quality forwards have found it difficult touching the ball. Finito. 4 Likes |

I see people are more concerned with Nacho not touching the ball than pointing out that his quality showed the few moments he touched the ball, especially that brilliant pass he made. With Otamendi, Laporte and Kevin De Bruyne operating from deep, touching the ball was difficult. There is nothing funny about it or mean Nacho was poor. We saw Aubameyang roasted today by the brilliant play by the defenders of Tottenham coupled with Dembele. 2 Likes |

MetalJigsaw: It does irritate me but seeing someone try to justify that as a yellow card offence is more irritating. It makes the horrific tackle feel a bit less irritating. 1 Like |

Ideye put in a very hard working shift today and earned my respect. However, it does not change my stance on mobile, fast and creative forwards over a striker who relies on hard work and strength. |
