The Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) looks like it's no longer safer for officials with several reports of violent attacks in the League.



Fans of Sunshine Stars in Akure have now been accused of beating the hell out of a centre referee after their club was held to a goalless draw at home to Kano Pillars on Sunday.

The alleged attack which was caused due to poor officiating was said to have occurred after the referee sounding the final whistle.

I think they need to learn how to be a good supporter from Arsenal fan..... We have been conditioned to expect nothing and accept everything!


I wish NPFL can come down hard on this people by deducting points and banning them from the ground or games to be played behind locked doors

what NFF should do is to suspend the team that attacked the referee.this is very bad from sunshine FC. I think this is the second or third cases of violence in this club. the governor should talk to the team and their supporters.
