good evening house so my mum applied for uk visa and one day after she left Uk, she received this email from home office her visa expiry is 25th Feb or so.. REMEMBER YOUR VISA EXPIRES SHORTLY, MAKE PLANS TO LEAVE THE UK OR EXTEND YOUR STAY TODAY We're sure you already know that your visa in the UK expires on 25 February 2018. We hope that you have enjoyed your time here. You've probably already begun to make plans either to leave the UK or to extend your stay before your visa expires. If you haven't started to make plans to travel yet, you should start now as there are less than 3 weeks left. Don't wait until the last moment as travel may be more expensive and you don't want to risk your leave expiring. If you need to extend your stay then, for peace of mind, you should submit your application as soon as you can. You will find information about how to do this on GOV.UK. If you have recently applied to extend your stay or your information is incorrect, please let us know here. Thank you, Immigration Enforcement my question is: has anyone received such mail towards visa expiry? is this now a practice? should we answer or ignore the mail. she already left UK anyway i clicked d link in the mail and below are the questions we are to fill Thank you

Yes, it's the new practice- Nothing out of the ordinary! As soon as she boards and flies with the airline at the airport, it's supposed to reflect in their own records. You can select the already left radio button. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 1:58pm On Feb 11, 2018 |
tonymd: To answer your golden question. Postpone your examination if possible to next 6 months. This will allow you bank account to normalize as you resumed your normal spending pattern. The ECO is right as there has been a deliberate compulsory savings to bring the account balance to N1.3M for visa purpose. This does not in any way reflect your normal spending pattern. The question is if you spending pattern in the last 6 months is normal, how come you had a opening balance of N210K since you started working in October 2016. In order words, with an average monthly spending of N20K you should have had a opening balance way beyond N210. The lesson here is that the ECO is not usually carried away by a huge closing balance, but your overall financial sufficiency over time. The other aspect of lack of dependent is secondary as may people have gotten visa without an dependents. |

ekpotek: Bless you Sir.l, this is the most objective review I got si far. Pls I intend to re apply again by March 2nd. This time my opening balance will be 570k and closing might be around 1.2 after paying for priority Visa from my account... Is there a problem with this. Also bank statement will run from sept 4 to march 1st. Hope no issue as it falls 3 days short of 6months.. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 2:33pm On Feb 11, 2018 |
tonymd: Thank you for appreciating my analysis. This analysis is from my own experience as I did just what you did for my first UK visa application to attend a conference and I was refused. The main issue here is that you need to explain in your next application with a cover note how you’ve been able to survive on a monthly spending of N20K. This is the key to getting the visa. If truly you are living with your parent and not contributing to rent and feeding. You will need a supporting letter from your parent stating that you’re living with them and why! The letter must be very detail to convince the ECO that you can indeed making this savings. You will also need to point out that all inflow into your bank account was your monthly salary which you have not spent and why, bringing your opening balance to N510K. You also need to tell the ECO that you are actually saving for this exam and you need to finance your trip with minimal contribution from your parent etc. Good luck. |

ekpotek: Thank you once more ekpotek. Im sorry about the first denial, but please was ur circumstances like my first application or this new one Im trying to make. And also what did u do differently the next time that made a difference....Also I ve spent 60k this month. Though I didnt need most all those money of withdrew. Yes I stay with my parents and dont pay for feeding for a while now. Only use to 20k for few things in the house... Also is there a problem with an opening balance of 570k?? |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 4:19pm On Feb 11, 2018 |
tonymd: My next UK visa application was 4 years later after my first refusal! What made the difference is I did not to give the ECO any reason to deny my visa. This simply means that I supported every statement with verifiable documents. So you must provide document to back up any claim you make in your application form or detail explaination where there is no document. Your opening balance or closing balance may still be an issue unless you can convince the ECO that you’ve a very good saving culture! Note the ECO had already cast a doubt on your bank statement. Rest assured the ECO will certainly refer to your last refusal to see if you have address the issue raised. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 7:59pm On Feb 11, 2018 |
osarodon: Just follow the prompt and register to either submit at Abuja, Ikeja or VI. If you want to pay for any added value services, you will be able to pay plus visa fee. The last is to print your form if you so wish. Then go to TLS website and create an account to book appointment to submit. |

Last 6 months Statement of Account from s good source and backup bank letter, a letter from my company are all included. Please I need your advise. |

@Everyone, Please, I have been trying to fill my Uk visa application form online via TLS Contact but the issue I'm having is that i have not been able to proceed beyond the first page. It was asking me to provide GWF reference number: This field should start with GWF followed by 9 numbers (eg: GWF123456789). How do I get over with this requirement because apparently, without it , there's no way I could complete the form. Thanks |

Hello guys, I really appreciate how you people are helping solving confusions with UK visa application. Please I intend applying for a UK visit visa and it was stated that application cant be more than 3 months to intended date of travel. My question is when do they start counting the 3 months, is it from the date of biometrics or the date one applies online. Thanks in anticipation. |

Hello all. Abeg i kinda need help. I am presently in the UK with limited leave to remain and i want my mom and sister to come visit. i live in a big enough house and i have a job. My question is how much do i have to make monthly to be able to sponsor the trip for both of them. If i am sponsoring the trip, do they have to provide any other financial documents from their own part? Also, is it possible for my partner to maybe sponsor my sister and i sponsor my mother if i don't make enough to sponsor both of them. If this depends on savings i have in my account, how much will i need to have saved up and be able to show in my back account that i can sponsor both of them. Keep in mind they have never met my partner before. |

Hello Good afternoon, A friend of mine’s mom wants to invite Him and I to the Uk for 6 months visit. I am not related to her only friends with his mom. My questions are, 1. Do I need to worry about my bank statements? 2. I plan on sponsoring both our trips. Or do I send the money over to her so she sponsors it? 3. I am just 21years. How does this matter to my bank statements high or low? 4. What reasons could make them deny me the visa and approve my friends own. Thanks |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 6:04am On Feb 13, 2018 |
iyaaliyah: Applicants have been issued visa way beyond their intended date of travel. I would recommend you stick to your original date to submit. You can always rebook hotel if you have paid for accommodation. |
