not denying that they were robbed but the story is full of holes or maybe exaggerations

Apparently, the robbers observed that they had just arrived into the country via the Murtala International Airport. This was made more evident as the vehicle was carrying several suitcases.

people just arrived into nigeria in bathroom slippers?
the vehicle windows are tinted - how did they see the suitcases?

It was a 17-minute battle. The robbers made away with valuables such as laptops, phones jewelries and other expensive items.

traffic robbers are smash and grab - they are not going to go through your car; they will steal what is immediately available.

i was also on that road around 1pm that saturday -

I experienced this during last year marathon, they broke my window took my belongings. Obviously the government nor the police does not care about the non VIPs. We never learn from mistake. What me I have learnt when they say vehicular movement will be stopped for 4hours I extend mine for 24hours. Your survival is in your own hand at least in this country.

are you a traffic robber how do you know they only smash and grab. The day I was robbed several other vehicles where robbed in the same traffic, one of driver was asked to open his bonnet and they took what they wanted, that is how easy it is to commit crime in this country!!! And you know what, the police numbeing more than 10 where all in front preventing vehicle movement. So shut up and let the guy whine about his loss
