Nope, i applied for the job here in Chicago

What is the prospect of applying from Nigeria? Seeing jobs advert that one has very good hand-on experience about.

Are there any exception, I.e securing jobs directly from Nigeria that you've ever seen, like you been fortunate also to get job with your Nigeria degree, though after having immigrated?

What are the ways or possible advice you can proffer on this.

You can applied from Nigerian but your credentials and experience have to be competitive enough because the company employing you will spend money and other resources to get you here. They will file H1B visa for you.

"The US H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows US companies to employ graduate level workers in specialty occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise in specialized fields such as in IT, finance, accounting, architecture, engineering, mathematics, science, medicine, etc"

Thanks, nothing is impossible for God.

Actually, the recent hullabaloo about H1B under Trump administration make it a bit shaky, though not impossible.

I think the main goal would be making one self "extremely" competitive for the company; too good to ignore.

It's well!

You will used to it noni if you wanna be here in Chicago. Not always as bad as it is right now. It was 7years ago when they experienced snow storm like this. I heard they had 3days lockdown.

Yes....been there several times! I have a relative who lives there....and it is a lovely, huge city......but I must say that the snow is what will keep me from ever relocating there.
Great pics...thanks.

How was it like buying your car

I bought my first car Nisan Altima $2500. I used the car for 6months and sold it to Nigeria. I used the proceeds as down payment to finance my new car (Toyota Camry 2016 Se).

Do you have a visa already? You should know what you are about to get yourself into, it isn't as easy as you think. you won't get a proper job on a visit visa except for those menial jobs which might not be enough to sustain you economically especially as an illegal. Now is the worst time to live illegally in the U.S. ICE has been cracking down on illegal immigrants, illegals here now sleep with one eye open. Research thoroughly on what you are about to do...

You mean to say, no one should try to remain in the us on a tourist visa as it is not worth it?

Well unfortunately, the one time I visited in December some years ago, turned me off so badly, that I do not ever hope to be return during that month or any time during the winter season. It's just too much....the layers and layers of snow, the gray skies, the chilling wind that feels like it's biting one's face off etc., (they don't call it the windy city for nothing)....lol.
Been there during the summer and it was quite nice. Been there during all seasons except fall...which I wouldn't mind experiencing.
