If it were KC that played this rubbish that both Neymar and Mppape played against R. Madrid, we won't hear the last of it from komekn, Mickael2, olorioko, and goldfish08...

Just look at how Mppape and Neymar kept messing up chances after chances. But they keep playing them.

Am a fan of KC and have been following the guy since his U-17 days. My problem with his bench warming has been corroborated by Rohr saying he needs more playing time to make the WC. The dude is good but romancing the bench on the eve of the WC is bad for his career. I also emphasized he took his chances whenever called upon by working harder than he used to which his coach also testified to. That's why I stopped the KC debate on this thread cuz I got the answers I needed from the two coaches.

What about if the HG doesn't have the quality of FB and they are fighting for the same position, should we drop the better one and pick the lesser one because we want HG?

Is it about HG or about choosing the best?

Please, don't forget that the same HG rule denied us David Alaba.
I don't think there is anything like HG rule but Alaba agent didn't do his home work properly and mind you if Alaba was willing to.play for us nothing stop him.

Those that are playing for another country are not the ready to play for us or do you want to say Manuel Akanji was willing cos he has a Father who our called a local bred player who should be his guardian but the boy opted for Switzerland.

My point is this throwing opened U 20 to FBs in the name of catching them young should be done in a way that would not affect the home grown, that's why I suggest HG 80% FB 20 or HG 70% FB 30%.

Jonathan Ligali is a thorough born Ajase guy from Benin republic.Ajase had her ancestral root to Yoruba kingdom especially Badagry area of Lagos state, the Ajase shared a lot of thing in common with Yorubas and always pay allegiance to Yorubaland, truly the name Ligali is a Yoruba name.

Sunday Olishe being a thorough Lagosian saw the name Ligali which is well common in Lagos,Ogun down to Oyo axis, believing Jonathan should be a Nigerian but later find out he is a Beninnoise and dropped the idea.

I think the likes of Edward and Maduka should be for future not this present eagles or else we are deceiving ourselves cos i don't see them better than what we have on ground.

Ejide Austin coming back? a joke but anything can happen in Nigeria, not doubting his quality but out of the scene for so long and just getting a club in Isreali division two,not too good for WC,on what ground when we have Dele Aiyenugba doing it as number one in the same Isreali league and nobody looks his way, gonna be injustice on the highest order.

The goalkeeper issue still remain a puzzle for Rohr to solve, hope he get it right not to be misled by Alloy Agu.

I don't think Oliseh dropped the idea because he realised he is from Benin Republic, it was Ligali who refused to play for Nigeria 'THEN' because he thought he could play for France.

As you have rightly said he is Ajase guy from Benin Republic but all Ajase can trace their root from Nigeria and this makes him eligible to play for Nigeria.

I agree that the likes of Edward Onaiwu and Maduka Okoye are for the future but I wouldn't mind if we invite Maduka Okoye to the team just to familarize with the team and feel at home.

As soon as I saw how Ejide desperately searched for a club then I knew something was fishy.

Let us watch out for Alloy Agu and his dirty pranks.

Okay Great House.... I have read and seen the comments of Boss Joseph1013, Chief Icon4s and even the latest Super OP in Tue person of Sir Joebie. So I will create the threads for the U-17s and U-20s and tag as many as possible, then news drops can begin.

Sir Tbaba1234 and Elder Sir Kog45 dropped brilliant contributions just now as regards players we can consider for the U-20s. So it shall be created as our underage teams will begin their quests to qualify soon.

Happy Valentine in arrears. wink Thank you.

The Curious Case Of Junior Ajayi Of Ahly – Recognised By CAF, Feared In Egypt But Ignored In Nigeria

One name that strike fear into the mind of opposition defenders when ever they are up against Al-Ahly is Nigerian striker Junior Ajayi.

The former Nigeria U23 international took his goal tally for the season to seven for the season with a brace in their 4-2 win over Arab Contractors yesterday night.

22 year old Ajayi has also proven himself to be a good provider of goals for his teammates with nine assist to his name, after his deployment to the left wing at the start of the season.
Recognised by the Confederation of African Football ( CAF) as a member of the Team of the Year at the recently concluded CAF Awards, back home the story is different for the former Shooting Stars prospect.

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has options available to him in attack, with the likes of Brown Ideye, Odion Ighalo and Kelechi Iheanacho playing as top striker for Nigeria since his appointment.

While upfront might seem loaded for the forward, he will no doubt feel he deserve a chance to fight for a shirt in the team, due to his consistent performance for a team like Al-Ahly adjudged by many as the best team in Africa.
Also his ability to play different roles in attack aside playing as the main striker is also another reason why he should at least get a look in ahead of the Super Eagles friendly games in March.
One point to note is that, if he were to be an Egyptian, his form will no doubt but him in the frame of a national team call up where he would likely line up in attack alongside Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah.

Judging by current form and fitness, it’s hard to argue against him getting a call up. He can’t be feared in Egypt, honoured by CAF while his homeland act like he hasn’t done enough to at least get a look in.

Alaba made it public that he wanted to play for Nigeria but he was told they were only interested in HG.

Even after that, he waited for a call-up but Nigeria showed no interest and when Austria came calling, he had no choice.

Manuel-akanji always identified himself as Nigerian but Nigeria paid lip services to it. Switzerland who gave him the chance at age grade Football came calling, he had no choice.

Dominic Iorfa Jnr, Deji-beyreuther and Dessers have shown the green light to play for Nigeria but as usual NFF is waiting for them to become Super stars before they start given them a look. .

Kenneth Otigba made the biggest mistake of his life to have refused to play for Hungary because he wan play for Nigeria.

I asked again. What about if 80% of FB have more quality than the 80% HG fighting for the same position, should we drop the 80% FB because we don't want the HG to be affected?

What is our priority? Quality or HG?

I do not know the local league well enough but from those abroad that are likely to play for Nigeria, we have

From Germany

Deji Beyreuther : 18 years left back, made the bench already for Eintrancht Frankfurt, looks on the verge of first team football. Great at set pieces.

Maduka Okoye: 18 year old Goalie, broke to the limelight by rohr's interest in him.. plays for Fortuna Dusseldorf under 19 side.

Brooklyn Ezeh: 16 year old left back, Hamburg

kimberly Ezekwem: 16 year old left back, Bayern Munich (see picture of him with David Alaba below)

Ogechika Heil: 17 year old central midfielder, Hamburg

Cottrell Ezekwem: 18 year on CB, 1860 Munich

With a good scouting team, the Nff can really raise a strong flying eagles side.

TheSuperNerd, the names are flying in. I am getting excited already.

I trust you to do the needful.

Sir,apart from Deji and Maduka who are willing, hope you know how these FBs behaves when it comes to switch allegiance,so no need waste our times in begging players for U 20 when we have pool of talents at home.

If they are ready for us no issue but i believe U17 or any age group teams should be for home grown especially 80% home grown and 20% for FB cos focusing more of our attention on FBS would be suicide to our grassroots development.

Super eagles foreign based and now Fly eagles foreign based then what remains for our young ones at home trying to have breakthrough through underage tourney better to make it HG 80% FB 20%.

Modified* pls why Germany based guys centre of attraction.

There are some EPL academies where Nigerian origin children constitute near 20% across the board.

There is no top 10 EPL team without Nigerian origin players. Across the entire academy league system of England there are hundreds if not near thousand of Nigerian origin players cutting across all age groups.

I said it, but Bascovanveli, who prefers to project his " Pure Gold " said it is because he is my boy.

Junior Ajayi remains one of our most underrated strikers. It is not every player that I clamor for a national team invite.

He deserves at least a place in the 35 man list. I see him as a better prospect than Brown Ideye and Anthony Nwakaeme. His profile has continued to rise and I see him moving to Europe pretty soon. He obviously is one for the future even if he doesn't make Russia.

My man i think U 17 is purely meant for homegrown players and as at that time it will take a third eyes to consider Alaba for our U 17 team and i want you to read Alaba interview,he laid more emphasis on his agent cos thet went through third party who was not even member of NFF who told them that it was was meant for homegrown and they didn't push further,so not anybody's fault.

Oh 90% FB for under age then better to relocate NFF secretariat to UK or Germany meaning our grassroots development programs is useless.

Pls we don't need to argue this much cos what we are saying is simple, the bedrock of any serious football nationa is grassroots, but you want us to shifts it to foreign land in the name of FBs.

Apart from missing out on Alaba David,Ali Dele and of recent Manuel Akanji, pls tell me any FBs that will regret not having in our national teams.

I don't think it's ideal to have full FBs in underage team and I know NFF would not be foolish to adopt such approach, better to have few talented ones not mediocre FBs and mixed it with what we have on ground.

I will never agreed with you that underage team have not brought any good thingto Nigeria football, pls go back to history and you will agreed with me that our under age teams are always solids, forget that will missed out recently.

Desperate' Austin Ejide wants to represent Eagles in Russia -

WORLD CUP 2018 By: Uche Duru | 26/12/2017

Hapoel Hadera goalkeeper, Austin Ejide has said he will work hard and do his best so as to secure a spot in the Super Eagles team that are gearing up for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Ejide 33, last played for the Super Eagles in 2014 in a friendly match between Nigeria and Scotland.
Despite playing for in Israel’s second tier, Ejide is sheer hopeful of securing a place in the Super Eagles team heading to Russia next year.

“The World Cup? I’ll try my very best until the end of the season,” Ejide told TheCable.
“But we’ll just have to wait and see. I’ll give my all, but it’s up to the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr.”
Ejide has been named in three FIFA World Cup squads; 2002 in Japan and South Korea, 2010 in South Africa and 2014 in Brazil.

Sir this coming WC is not about prospect but performance,so better to have player that would give us optimum performance than only prospect,i remember the same Ajayi was put to bench by Sadiq Umar at Rio.

Truly he is having good performance at Egyptian league and making CAF team but what would you say having Ideye,Nwakaeme even Kayode in Egypt league, pls consider this factor.

I don't think this coming WC is meant for the likes of Sadiq Umar, Junior Ajayi,Taiwo Awoniyi, and Victor Osimhen,as you said i see them as good prospects for 2022 WC.

The question of FB for flying Eagles is a tricky one.

Spending scarce resources in terms of flight tickets and logistics for players all over Europe to turn up for an U20 or U17 camping is something many might not see as a wise pursuit.

It doesn't only affect Foreign borns. Sometimes even homegrown talents that moved abroad are excluded from qualifiers for this same reason.

Coaches then make do with the available homebased players. By the time these set of players qualify for the world cup, they'd have gained some level of chemistry and camaraderie, so much so that it becomes difficult to drop these players for the foreign based and dual nationals.

Injection of new players into these set is therefore not wholesome, as very few new additions are made. That is why a player like iheanacho, even with his exploits at the U17 and man city, was still made to sit on the bench for a homebased player at the world cup.

De Ja Vu or not? Well, all thanks to Liverpool for sealing the game for me in just 45 minutes with no tension unlike that lowly CHAN fake eagles that almost forced my heart out of my mouth with a 1-0 plus a man down for 90+ minutes the other day.

2.35... should I have gone a bit greedy with a halftime win?

100,000 to 235,000

To God be the glory

Esther is in for a Royal Rumble tonight hahahaa

what are this for?

you can as well drop this on sports betting thread I think it will be well appreciated there.
