This thread is addressing Uyo and the poverty level there shouldn't be, considering the resources coming from there.

Always hating. Show us your own state and tell us the poverty level there.

BTW Lalasticlala please move this thread to front-page

Everywhere cannot be a business area.

Akwa ibom and Cross River states were planned for tourism.

If their government can key in to the original plans for the state they will have a massive inflow of tourists from all over the world thereby making cash in return

Poverty is a mental state. There is nothing a government can do about it. No legislation can develop ideas, wake a lazy man from slumber or detach an ignorant man from retrogressive habits. Nigeria is the way it is because of Nigerians just as America is tje way it is because of Americans. Arabia has more oil than water yet is remains undeveloped and poor.

nice roads but uyo is still largely rural. akpabio did a lot of work and gave the place a facelift no doubt BUT to me, i see nothing really wonderful about the place.

Akwa ibom is where Nigeria derives majority of its oil riches, If states were allowed to control resources in its terrain Akwa ibom will have no issue whatsoever with poverty,
God has blessed us, but Man and Federal mago mago is robbing us of our Gods given blessings. there will be joy in the morning some day!

Well that's a lie, I've lived in Uyo.
Resource control is not the problem of Akwa-Ibom state, laziness is, most Ibomites don't have any entrepreneural spirit, they're always waiting for a handout.

Mr entetprenure how many akwa ibomites did you meet or interact with per the % of the population to come up with your barefaced fallacious generalization?
