Htc knows what to do , but just doesn’t want to do it .. htc should invest a lot into reasearch and design and make something different and innovative, something that would have the tech reviewers and the whole of YouTube sing it’s praise and test it out.. htc one m7 was innovative then and totally different from every other smartphone of its time, hence the massive sale and awards , since then htc has just been ordinary and has done nothing extraordinarily

On my 3rd consecutive generation of HTC phones, all flagships at the time of purchase; but sadly have to part ways as I intend to upgrade to Iphone (X) because HTC had technologically lagged behind many of her major competitors, on simple features e.g. water proof, screen resolution, battery life, face recognition etc.

Infinix and tecno are just cheap and useless. They can’t even survive outside Africa. We use them here cos they are cheap. Comparing HTC with those cheap plastics is an insult.

Their phones are over priced. High end phones like Samsung and iPhone are recording increased profits and lower end phones like tecno and infinix are recording increased profits too. That should tell you something.

well you hit the nail on the head. they know what to do. am a fan of HTC too there are several reviews available from GSM Arena to YouTube. it's there decision to act fast.

Dude Techno and Infinix are only hitting spikes in the African market. HTC is talking about world market. true they are overpriced because they are world worthy. phones features are great infact exceptional but they need to work harder on correcting some issues from customers complains and tech reviews. that it. just try and use an HTC phone you would be amazed.

If you have not gone international, there's absolutely nothing any International brand can learn from you. Yeah, Tecno's marketing strategy may have worked for them locally in Nigeria, but that's just about it. Nigeria remains the only main market.

I would rather you encourage HTC to learn from the likes of Xiaomi. Xiaomi has been able to breakthrough the two largest nations in the world - China and India - with each boasting of about 1 billion population. Even at that, Xiaomi is still struggling with acceptance in the US and UK.

Go to YouTube, you would find out that Nairalanders are the only people reviewing Tecno and Infinix phones.

Until the likes of Android Authority starts reviewing Infinix and Tecno phones, no global brand would ever and ever know (let alone learning from) them.

My first android phone was a HTC hero back in 2009, back then play store was called market. I hope the survive, they make outstanding mobile phones..

But hello sir, why did you reply him nah? You should have allowed me to do it. Tecno and Infinix?? Spits! It's like Facebook is talking and Nairaland is opening its mouth. HTC remains one of the most durable phones in the world. I used my HTC without a pouch for 3 years and I'm extremely careless with phones. Tecno that cannot roam. There's absolutely NOTHING HTC can learn from Tecno. They are not mates.
