They said when people badmouth a stock on NL, the stock starts to fall.

Let's conduct that experiment.

Overall, know what works for you
There is no strategy I have not used

I have used Pa Emma/Pa(newone) Wanaj strategy; from my experience, it is excellent but not efficient.

I have tried to trade; I am too busy to do that and I don't think my temperament is meant for that.

My strategy is optimum for ME and my vineyard.

Don't you want to buy at 22?

Let's badmouth it together as they have claimed that too much noise on a stock makes it fall grin

Exactly my point too.

No amount of talk on NL can fall NSE. It may be a sheer coincidence that one will talk and it will happen.

No amount of badmouthing a stock can make it fall.

I am sure the head of TA in the house (fxuser) would not have bought fidelity at N4.33.
When the same stock was selling below N2 some months ago they didn't buy, they could only buy when it was already overhyped. Sure, the smart ones made cool money on it why some are only holding the can.

I will average down, if I have spare cash as there is still the dividend buffer to cover.

I do not agree with this. What some people have seen in UCAP this year is not meant for everyone. UCAP has subsidiaries that returned very well last year. 2017 was bullish for United Capital Securities Ltd and United Capital Asset Management Ltd. United Capital Trustees Limited is handling the Etisalat wahala. More income from that angle too. In 2015, the subsidiaries contributed dividend in the sum of N1.9b, It increased last year to N3b. This year will be more. The only draw back I can see that will stop them from paying higher dividend in the excess tax on dividend that may increase if they choose to pay more than the N3b they paid last year.

I am heavy here. But like it is with everyone, I am the MD/CEO of my portfolio. Results will show on Friday.

Oando and Conoco! I was insulted and called names then. Those were the days.

The bulls always misled people to think that stock market is a place for some quick money. There lies the problem. They easily get trapped.

You also have those that don't understand the stocks they are buying. People are buying UCAP without discounting the Extra Ordinary income. Some don't account for seasonality of income. They just jump in and get injured. If you don't understand the business, all indicators you will use will be LAGGING INDICATORS. You need LEADING INDICATORS to be ahead of the pack.

Some can't even control their emotions. That to me us the first thing to deal with. Don't be an emotional investor.

In the short term, stocks fluctuate anyhow. However in the long term, the daily fluctuations will smoothen out and there will be a pattern.

School fees getting expensive.

Happy Investing.

I have come out with a proactive and efficient hypothesis to strengthen that strategy and make it the best in the world, viz:

Trade with 60% percent of you portfolio account and leave the remaining 40% standby.
Anytime there is a major bear, use the remaining 40%the to load more of the stocks in your portfolio from the support of the lowest low or thereabout.

When the market recovers, sell 40% of your open trade and keep the money for another eventual bear.
Full stop. grin grin

FMN will not pay dividends in their year ending this 2018. The cashflow is negative and they are needing capital. Paying will mean borrowing from the bank just to satisfy shareholders.

This may depress share price in a short term.

On the 1st highlight in bold, It makes a whole lot of sense to assume this scenario since only 25% of the rights proceeds will be be channeled to working capital (...the balance of 75% shall be put towards deleveraging their balance sheet). ...more so when CF is in the negative.
However there is a higher chance that FLOURMILLS will pay some divided. ...but its expected that the payout ratio will be very minot when compared to that of previous years.

...On the 2nd highlight in bold, i'll urge u never to bet on this my Oga.

The proceeds will be used for offsetting their loans and then part used for working capital.

If they pay dividends, I will sell my holdings.

I expect the stock to drop to N22 once the result is released

U know I cant argue with u my Oga, but on the part in bold, I'd strongly advise u never to bet on that.
...and I'll gladly and wholeheartedly take a bet with u if u wish. wink cheesy

Nothing really too impressive.
Two/three months ago, I wouldn't have bought FMN. There are many options then. However, the market is a dynamic one and most other good stocks are selling close to their fair value.
Me I no get the kind of oracle patience where you hold cash for a long time and you just be hoping and praying for bear to show up.
Either bull or bear,we must make money.

...and here goes the write-up from a person who understands 'the dynamism of the Nigerian Stock Exchange'
Kudos to u sir. ...and let me assure u that u wont ever regret 'Flouring ur Mill'.
