Who are the players he "disrespected" at fortuna, and also those staff and workers? It's easy to paint people bad when they are to be thrown away. I have at least read how he demoted some of their old players there who happened to be blocking the progress of the club and we all saw the effect in the club's performance Some people are known to be against change and when they encounter people who come with drastic one, they fight tooth and nails against it. Oliseh is a change enthusiast which happens to be very vocal, opinionated and blunt. These characteristics aren't what people are ready to face. People with these traits are hated almost by everyone who aren't in line with change or such character traits. BTW, Ferguson was foul mouthed as a coach and even dealt with some known players. Same with Mourinho Same with Simione. Roy keane http://bleacherreport.com/articles/879086-the-20-angriest-coaches-in-sports Same with Pep but he's very discreet with his own ways. We have alot of coaches with these traits, difference is that they are already big so people don't count these traits as biggie again. Maradona isn't left out, same with Gatuso. List goes on. tbaba1234: |

I read it and it's still the same "blank or general statement" things. Meaning he got sacked because he dared to behave like how successful coaches behave at his own level? If you check those against him at the club, you won't be surprised to find out that they are the unchangeable lots who are not ready to have anyone come change things without them. Kog45: |

Why should I name one when I didn't argue any? Are you reading my post at all? There is no new coach with Oliseh's performance rate so far, when you find a new coach who set records for a club without one, we can discuss the "naming" thing. Kog45: |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by somehow: 10:36am On Feb 18, 2018 |
Your question has nothing to do with what I have been typing. Stay within the context of my post if we're discussing my post. Kog45: If oliseh was so bad as they have painted it, how then did he set all the records? With which players and staff? Shouldn't all of them be against him or at least most? Make we reason am na. Some poeple already have a pre-assumed mindset of Oliseh so anything that supports this, they lash on. When things was rosy and he was enjoying good performance, some here we're putting up the 'but' in their statements waiting for one slip so they can say "I told you". Weird set of Nigerians. 1 Like |

Kog45:people especially from these parts seem to undersetimate the importance of discipline..they should seek out what happened to players like etim esin, paul gascoigne, ivan da le pena,cantona..if fact those that grew up in owerri in the early 90s can tell you why kanu nwankwo rose to prominence and a more skillful mate ekenna nnado did not 1 Like |

Loogan: Bros success is not a bad player but he won't make the World Cup,sorry to say that either rohr like him or not, stronger than ighalo?how does that change the fact that this guy is overweight? He need to loose kilo if he want to get into the Malaga team, and for your information rohr 2 sure strikers are already on the plane which is ighalo and nacho...I repeat my self success will not go to the World Cup,if success go to the World Cup then what will you say of onyekuru because he will be fit before then,we cannot carry a player who has not been serious all season to the World Cup,this is not 2014 where a Gabriel Ruben that lack match fitness makes the cut,I will rather pick a Samuel Kalu of gent than success,so because he is reffered as a Beast he should be in the World Cup,is hulk of Brazil not also reffered as a beast? does that make him to be in brazil squad? 9 Likes |

andrew444:Yes Ighalo and Iheanacho even Oyekwuru we need to fight for his place with Simeon Moses, Ahmed Musa,Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi but third main striker remain a battle between Ideye,Nwakaeme, Kayode if possible Martins which I don't see is happening,Success making it is a very huge task but need to get into shape first. |

Kog45: Smiles....Kayode and martins out...kayode still did not make girona bench on Friday, martins is just out of favor, all those players you called are already on the plane me and you know that, wetin Moses Simon victor moses and iwobi wan fight for lol.....maybe the scape goat might be nwakaeme. 5 Likes |

krattoss: If Joel Obi doesn't get a call up for the March friendlies, then I'm afraid he won't b going to Russia... I've been making up a mock list already and I really can't see him in d picture... Don't get me wrong,he is a very talented player and might even b d perfect back up for Mikel... But the thing is,I doubt if Rohr will drop any of the midfielder he has been working with since he took charge of the SE... If we decide to take 8 defenders to the WC,then there will b room for just 5 midfielder and 7 attackers .. the five midfielder will b - Mikel, Onazi ,Ndidi(100% guaranteed spots) Obi will have to fight with Agu,Etebo and Ogu for a spot in the team... If we take 7 defenders, then he might probably make the list... It all depends on his fitness level though... |

I don't u understand what kinda player gets injured all the time and walks straight into the starting lineup. something must be special about this Joel Chukwuma Obi. well, I'm glued to my TV as Torino battles Juventus. Lemme experience what the coach sees in him. 1 Like 2 Shares |

andrew444:My major point is third striker which i don't think Rohr would consider Oyekwuru for cos you mentioned him. So Oyekwuru have Victor Moses,Simeon Moses,Alex Iwobi and Ahmed Musa to compete with meaning that one must be dropped for him to make the team, huge task. The third striker apart from Ighalo and Iheanacho have to be from Nwakaeme,Ideye and Kayode, mentioning Nwakaeme,Ideye and Kayode was based on being part of Rohr team during qualifier nothing more, hope you read my line on Martins,i said i don't see his calling happening. Now my question is will you consider Oyekwuru as third striker ahead of Ideye or Nwakaeme in the 23 man list. 1 Like |

Kog45:thanks for your rich words of wisdom...sir. I never knew some of this names you put up there... to be honest one of the reason why many of us here cry for the inclusion of foreign born and groomed players...is because of this "discipline" factor for a player groomed and tutored in good academics in Europe right from their infant age will hardly go this way....except on few cases....just take a look at iwobi saga...recently he never went online to rant same way success did....instead he kept his head cool and I am sure he regreted his actions.....for rohr to have called Wenger his fellow French man and talked to him about it......it shows he is has some sense of humility. sometimes it saddens me to see Nigeria players while still in their late 20s they begin to dwindle....except for some of the disciplined ones... so pathetic to see a young player of success kind refusing to take held... 2 Likes |

Kog45: Yes o bros,I will consider onyekuru ahead of ideye and nwakaeme,I also don't see kayode going to the World Cup talk less of taking him as 3rd striker, the guy is not playing for a girona team so he can't be at the World Cup,even osimhen is having little game game at Wolfsburg he even started last weekend and came as a sub against Bayern yesterday,as for ideye suddenly he is back in the radar, lol,as my guy don join malaga come score yesterday,I trust me peeps in this thread. |

Kog45: to be true...wit ideye recent performance I fear he may likely be the 3rd striker... but any day I will prefer Henry not only more clinical but also....got more pace, ball control and can also play as a winger when occasion demands. |

Humility017: Bros ideye 3rd striker so soon ? Una no dey use eye see premier league player wey score goal or laliga player, ideye don score one goal una no allow season end una don give an 3rd striker easily, thank God we are not the coaches, maybe if Anthony Ujah score brace next week for Mainz him to take over ideye. 5 Likes

DrKlever:Sir,Joel Obi no doubt a very good player with question mark, injury, apart from this, nothing more. He should be great addition to Eagles but how many managers would take injury prone player to WC,that's just the issue. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by asha80(m): 1:10pm On Feb 18, 2018 |
AIG07:dutch league like german and belgian leagues are an 18club league meaning a maximum of 34 matches can be played by a player per season unlike those based in england, france, italy and spain that all have 20club league(38 matches maximum)..also unlike in england they do not have their version of carabao cup as they only have the eredivisie(league) and their knvb cup(fa cup)..also unlike england they go on mid season break(usually 3-4 weeks)..then in the case of ebuehi his clube is not saddled with european engagements so the issue of fatigue does not arise. 2 Likes |

somehow: nobody has a presumed mindset about him... his nasty character is telling on him.... mind you same character he manifested when he handled the super eagles came to play in netherland..and watch...it will still play out in his next coaching job...he has a bad attitude...they've been many coaches fired or suspended because of Similiar issue may be refusal to party to the club dubious schemes if the allegations by oliseh is anything to go by... but this coaches will never utter any of such irresponsible words he said after his suspension.... don't forget a Dutch journalist wrote about his poor man managerial skill some time ago which lead to the resignation of some of his backroom staffs....but we took it lightly and now the everything have been left open...and here you're talking about presumption |

somehow: it baffles me that people are even keying into that rubbish. I mean this was the same Oliseh that took a bunch of unknowns to the top of the league, winning almost all their games at home, if that does not mean that the players are behind their coach I wonder what is. Then Oliseh is sacked and they lost(AT HOME) to a team that they should have defeated handsomely, if that is not the players voicing out their disappointment I wonder what is. Fortuna Sittard is a local team and most of the top guys want their kids playing for the first team, and this was why Oliseh was sacked 2 Likes |

Joel Chukwuma Obi is putting on another good shift for Torino against Juvenile today. Going by his performances over the past few weeks, I will expect him to make the Super Eagles World Cup team. But to be fair, I am not sure that he can start ahead of Ndidi or Onazi. We shall see. O pari 3 Likes |
