Chibabe4Christ:No place to attach proof. You can pay online with gtb Internet banking I hope you have travelled to the UK. If so your travel history and work tie might be of advantage to you. If I were you, I will just pick a vacation destination in the US and visit. No need complicating your application. |

Chibabe4Christ:The VO is not interested in those proofs, just hold them incase they ask.please don't try to make them to check those documents. Read through transcripts on this thread to have a feel of how the interview normally go |

Fake visas: U.S. bans female accountant for life Published 1 day ago on February 16, 2018 By Juliana Francis …as SFU goes after fleeing uncle Miss Vivian is just 24 years old, but she is already one of the thousands, if not millions of Nigerians who have been banned for life from setting foot on the American soil. As a trained Accountant, Vivian could have got a choice job in Nigeria, but she claimed to have been convinced by her uncle, identified simply as Ugochukwu, to attempt to travel to the US. The idea was to travel to the US, get a million dollar job and money would start rolling in; but the plan was not as easy as it sounded. When Vivian got to the US Embassy, the eagle-eyed white men discovered that all her documents were fake. She had a fake United Bank of Africa (UBA) identity card; she claimed to be a worker with the bank, but ironically, she had never worked in any UBA branch in her life. She also had a UBA bank statement, but that too was fake. The passport she presented to the white men showed that she had a travel history, which was supposed to make her attempt at getting American Visa easier. The travel history stamps on her passport showed that she had travelled out of Nigeria to many countries, including Germany. When some questions about some of the countries she claimed to have visited were put across to her, she failed woefully. She was promptly arrested and handed over to detectives attached to the Police Special Fraud Unit (SFU). Speaking with our correspondent, Vivian, a tall, pretty lady, had a trapped look on her face. She was accompanied by her elder sister, who looked worried and desperate. Police told Vivian that she was looking at prison, if she didn’t mention and assisted them to catch the person who prepared the fake travelling documents for her. Vivian knew she had to choose between saving herself and the person who got the fake documents for her. The lady, who graduated from Imo State University, said: “It is my uncle that prepared everything for me. He collected N150,000 as payment. I was living in the East when he asked me to come to Lagos that he would assist me to travel overseas. I was staying in his house until my arrest. When I called him that police wanted him to come to SFU, he didn’t say anything. He later said I should go home and pick the key by the window. He said that I should pick my things that were in the house and leave.” The lady promised to do everything within her power to assist police to locate her uncle. Speaking on the case, the SFU Public Relations Officer, Mr. Lawal Audu, said: “She went to the American Embassy with fake UBA identity card. She gave herself an identity she didn’t have. She appeared at the American Embassy and tried to obtain visa by deception. She said that her uncle, Ugochukwu, gave her the passport with fake visas and stamps. The uncle collected N150,000 from her. He went with her to the embassy on the day of the interview. When he discovered that she had been found out, he ran away. “She got herself banned for life. She was arrested at the consulate office. Even when they asked her repeatedly if she had been to Germany before, she kept saying yes. How far could she go with such a false story? She was arrested and sent here. It was when she was brought here that she opened up and confessed that it was her uncle, who wanted to assist her travel to America that packaged the fake visas for her. What kind of assistance was that, especially since he collected N150,000 from her?” The image maker said that for long, fake visa racket had been on the increase. While urging Nigerians to tap the wealth inherent in the country, Audu said that earlier, a young man, Ogunyemi Raheem Oladipupo, was also arrested for being in possession of fake UK visa. “The young man’s passport had a fake Heathrow stamp, but he had never travelled out of Nigeria. We always have many applicants with fraudulent documents,” Audu said. Audu described as saddening, a situation whereby foreigners are rushing into Nigeria to make money, while Nigerian youths are running away from the same country, taking their gifts and talents to other countries. He said: “The Americans, British, Canadians and Italians know that Nigeria is a great country. They know that as far as Africa is concerned, Nigeria is the greatest. They know of her potential and resources. “I asked a young man, who was arrested, what he wanted to go and do in the US, he said he wanted to go and work. I asked him who told him there was work in the US, he said his friend. I told him that he could work here; he said no, that he preferred US. Many of them could even set up a business with the money they give to visa vendors. There is no work overseas. Nigerians should bury their pride and do something here for themselves. The same work they refuse to do here is what they travel overseas to do. “If you want to apply for American visa, don’t go with fake documents. I’m advising prospective visa applicants, do not patronise visa vendors. Sometimes, the visa vendors will fill information, which you do not know about. During interview, the person might be asked a question on the information filled, and the person wouldn’t be able to respond. The interview could be at the point of entry, with questions based on what is filled in the visa document. Some get deported at the point of entry.” 3 Likes 2 Shares |

please, who has the right information about re-scheduling an interview date? from what I've seen online on other forums, the reschedule page usually shows how many attempts you have left, but it seems it's different for the Nigerian page. when I visited the page, all I saw was a warning that I may lose my visa fees if I cancel. there was no information regarding the number of attempts I should have. I refreshed the page and to my surprise, I saw another warning that I'm an visiting the page too many times and I may be blocked or something similar. Omo Na so I pick race close my browser o. sey na this Buhari era person go lose almost 200k visa fees without seeing VO face to face? I go jejely wait for April date . but seriously, whats the policy for Nigerians? any info? 1 Like |

Been a silent reader here, had my interview with my Family yesterday...thanks to all the gurus here and their contributions....Our interview was slated for 7:30am. We got there 5:30am.I, my wife, son and daughter. By 6am, a man started calling those slated for 6am-7:45am. By 7:45,we were done with biometrics and fingerprints. By 8:05am, we were already in front of the VO. The crowd was massive but it was pretty fast as it was well coordinated. A family of 5 just before us were denied. The VO, a young pretty lady in window 2, asked the man how much was budgeted for the trip and he said $4000 , flight tickets inclusive. The VO tried to help out saying tickets alone should be about $4000 and asked again how much he budgeted for the trip. He repeated $4000 and added “It’s a lot of money but I’m ready to spend it for the sake of my family”. Next thing was the blue paper. Now our turn, I and wifey: Good morning (with a smile) VO: Good morning (with a smile too). Please pass me your passports. VO: Why are you going to the US? Me: We are going on a temporary visit to Atlanta as we plan visiting some nice and interesting places.... At this point, my 4 year old son cuts in as he started repeating all I was saying word to word. I stopped and smiled as the VO smiled back. Then my wife continued from where I stopped. VO: Where do you guys work? Me:I work at bleep bleep bleep as a Manager. We are into bleep bleep bleep. My wife stated where she works and was halfway into describing her duties...VO cuts in VO: Have you travelled as a family before? I and wifey: Yes to South Africa on a vacation. Wifey started listing the beautiful places we visited in Capetown. VO cuts in again. VO: How long has your aunt been in the US? Me: Next month will make it her 20th year in the US. VO: How did she get to the US? Me: Through visa lottery VO: Does she have a family there? Me: Yes VO: Mentions one of my aunt’s children and asks how she was related to my aunt and I tell her she’s my aunt’s daughter. She mentions another name and asks who he was to my aunt. I said he was my aunt’s husband. VO: Do you have any other relative in the US? Me: Yes my grandmum VO: What’s her name? I stated VO: It’s like you have applied before Me: Yes in 2015 alone VO: Your present job does not correspond with the job I’m seeing here on the screen. I repeated where I worked again and said I only got promoted. VO: Where do you work again? Told her again and she nodded. At this point, my son kept pointing at the VO and shouting repeatedly,“Daddy Daddy who is that?” I felt embarrassed but managed to whisper in his ears, “The Visa Officer”. And he exclaimed, “Visa Officer” as the sister joined him too calling her “ Visa Officer” repeatedly. The beautiful lady couldn’t help smiling as she kept typing and typing. Next was the white paper and instructions on how to pick up the visa. People dey talk say at this point, they no longer hear anything anymore but me and my wife,we hear everything. I couldn’t hold my joy as I drove my family straight to chicken republic to get my kids buckets of ice cream for a job well done. Thanks to God Almighty, thanks to everyone that has contributed in any way in this group.God bless you all. Tips: -We filled the forms ourselves -Get all the information of whoever that is inviting you. -Be confident, look the VO in the eye and try to make your interview more of an interactive conversation. -If you’ve been denied before, and intend applying again, strive at keeping the information in in your ds-160 form consistent and also try to see that your circumstances have changed from the time of your previous application. 22 Likes 5 Shares |

LadyGuinivere: This one has done registry as it is now and also want to have the big church wedding day now, hoping to bring in her family member by that means. Also as a justification, she has tried to beat the "premeditated plan" accusation by ensuring she has been going in and out of the US before this status adjustment step. It won't work, it's in their family blood to be unnecessarily smart.... Someone will pay for this as things stand now |

HoLEEsinner:Same Father/Mother name & D*O*B will actually indicate he is your half(Why hiding that). Don't think of going to greet any of them(church wedding, Ceremony) as purpose, they might not approve u for that reason You indirectly have 2siblings over there that's a strong tie to U.S. You are married&Working and your father is still sponsoring. Save your money, it won't work. Instead of having a better change in circumstance on your last application, u carry 1sibling join. I will advise u to apply only when u have a better reason for visiting U.S, maybe Medical, good Conference, Desire tourist attractions. Note: anytime u apply, your 2siblings will always be considered when adjudicating abi wetin b d grammar, I pray God grant u your heart desire (Children) so that your family tie can weigh here in Nigeria |

Good morning and how's the weekend going please I need an urgent reply from you guys please it's very urgent. my interview is next week Monday and I just found an error. my cousin invited me over to the US so when I was choosing my us contact is chose relative for him. but another question was asked Do you have an immediate relative not including parents so I chose YES then I put my cousin name but in the option they gave father, siblings and fiancee and I chose sibling. so please I want to know if this would be an issue for my during my interview. because looking at it immediate relative can be your cousin also but I just found out under immigration law that immediate relative means your parent, siblings or fiancee. please gurus in the house please help me.should I cancel my application and fill another application and also choose another date. would be expecting your swift reply. God blesss |

olasanni: Quite expensive a mistake that is if you don't correct it at this point now! Your cousin in this context is a relative of yours and not your sibling nor immediate family like you have rightly found out. Don't cancel your appointment or change date, just create and fill another form and update the DS160 number on your profile with the new one and print a new appointment letter. Regards |

I almost made the same mistake wen I was filling mine until I noticed that wen u select No, it brings another question... Do you have any other relative in the US? Go ahead with the suggestion above that is if you still av 72hrs b4 ur appointment date. Or else you might not be allowed in... I can remember reading abt the 72hrs thing. olasanni: |

With due respect, you don't work with the USCIS or US Consulate and so might not be competent to determine what will work or not.Pardon me,you are not God,therefore you are not in any position to ascertain what is in their family blood or not. Each man/woman with his or her own story,so please spare us the assertion that she has tried to beat "premeditated plan by ensuring she has been going in and out of the US before this status adjustment" Are you a mind reader?US is not North Korea where the sins of a person is melted on generations of family members. We however can guess some outcomes, I just did, let the transcript prove my guess wrong.
