The guy you quoted is not even Rohr, he even went on to say he is confident they would perform. That is the same as Oga Forgiveness saying Obafemi would outclass Any other striker we currently parade. Just Exactly the same thing most of us do here calling for our prefered players.

Does it make us backward? Oh yes, capital YES.
England and USA has been enjoying Sports men/women of Nigerian background and other Nationalities because they are open minded. Which leaves them with múltiple choice of choosing the best of the bests in Sports competitions. Imagine if they are going about looking for a supposed "full breed"? USA Economy was not built 100% by " full breed" , thanks to their open mind culture .

Your choice of words has the same weight as what Sunday Oliseh said about Ekong and oyinbo players. Very discriminatory. It is just like saying you are not entitled to the benefits of your umunna, because dem born you Outside your village.

This is impossible! After the fourth red card, the match is stopped!

It can't get up to 10 red cards in a game.

For the match to continue, you can't have less than 6 outfield players on the field.

After Anderson, Denilson shouldn't have gotten a card, because if he did, the match ends

How did the ref missed that?

Please name the teams involved let me search for match on flashscore.com I need to know whether fifa rules have changed on this

This is preposterous!

From my days of playing PES, the team with the first five red cards loses the match by 3-0.

I checked FIFA and found that a team can continue match with minimum 7 players.

people especially from these parts seem to undersetimate the importance of discipline..they should seek out what happened to players like etim esin, paul gascoigne, ivan da le pena,cantona..if fact those that grew up in owerri in the early 90s can tell you why kanu nwankwo rose to prominence and a more skillful mate ekenna nnado did not

Football success is not built on talent alone but the essential ingredients of DILIGENCE & DISCIPLINE.

Without these talent will amount to nothing.

From my perspective, who was right or wrong is not the most important issue but what goes on after that. There was a better way of Oliseh handling his dismissal. Launching a verbal dirty attack on the club was the worst way to go.

We have seen the likes of Hughton do a good job with Newcastle and still get sacked unfairly. His sack caused an outcry from players, fans and club legends. Yet, Hughton did not go out blasting his employers.

This made his appointments by other clubs easier. However, in Oliseh's case, despite his brilliance, club execs will think hard before giving him a job. That is where the problem lies.

Oliseh needs to learn to listen. It is not always about him.

Chris Hughton is the only manager in football that I know that I can call a man of unquestionable integrity that challenges me with his humility.

Mujtahida:

Isn't there a contradiction between the first bolded and the last? You say we are not adventurous and essentially we have stuck to the same set of players for the past six years and then you call for Martins. At least this is what I understand from what you wrote
6 years ago was 2012. Apart from Mikel, Moses, Onazi, Echiejile, Ahmed Musa, all the other players are new players. I disagree with your assertion.

So to you, you can't see that our team has evolved greatly in terms of personnel?
Iwobi, Iheanacho, Aina, Idowu, Agu, Shehu, Ndidi, Ebuehi, Simon, Onyekuru, Etebo, Troost Ekong, Awaziem, Uzoho etc are the products of our adventures in blooding new players.

I agree with you.

My assertion is ambiguous and even misleading.

When I say we have not been adventurous and stuck with the same set of players. My main focus is player consideration we are not looking at a wide enough set of players.

Furthermore I have doubts particularly with youth players who have done nothing in the game to be considered.

Then add to that players who are in backwater leagues but are not outstanding in those leagues to justify consideration.

New isn't necessarily better and either is younger. Irrespective of age, but the main consideration should be present current performance and form.

That's why I called for Obagoal to be tried tested and if found to have qualities to offer, selected. The same goes for Aluko, Obi, H.Akpan, Ogbeche, etc Who are putting up good performance in thier club sides. In this regard the pool for selection consideration is not expansive enough.

Ikeme was a first team goal keeper for Wolves that's not easy.

The ❓ is, what level is Uzoho playing first team or youth team. Is he the first team second goalkeeper

From what I can in the goalkeeping department he seems the best potential we have. If he is playing first team and or even the first team second goalkeeper, then in my opinion he's possibly our best prospect.

Their words against his or were you expecting something romantic from them?

Their system wasn't working for 25 years, he came to change things and you expect those who met there to be happy with him?

Use the case of NEPA and the new guys that took over, did you not witness the tumor between NEPA workers and the new guys. Blackmail, propoganda and ramblings happened because the old guys wouldn't let go without a fight. People just don't fancy strong headed leaders.

All the same, if the owners of fortuna believe he lied against them, they should sue him to court since they still owe him.
junnyjake:

Oh Oh Oh, you've been repeating same thing since we started this talk last year and i'm just taking notice of it, how come?

So if some "successful" coaches are being unnecessarily hard then we should overlook the excesses of those starting out employing such template, because to you arrogance = excellence.

Being unnecessarily stubborn doesn't always translates into being principled.

Oliseh is someone I've known to be a troublemaker since his playing days for both club and country and if you are asking me for proof of this, then I shouldn't be having this argument with you.

Some of those who he sent out of the team said he was impossible to work with how many of those coaches you like to compare to Oliseh were ever dismissed for same reason, if not for consistent bad results?

Here's one law of power : people crave for change, but when it comes too abruptly, they are sure going to rebel against you even if it's for their benefit in the long run. So what do you do? you feed their fantasy but inject change in a steady, controlled and calculated manner so you don't upset things and are seen as a 'Pandejo'

I'm a United fan and if up till date, I'm not a Mourinho's fan why should I condone Oliseh I even condemned his calling of the team doctor a biatch when he was at Chelsea.

Oliseh can only succeed at a team where he has the controlling share of the club, triples as the sporting director, technical Director and the coach, since he's someone who always wants to be seen as right.

Just imagine him in a Madrid team, I can almost predict correctly him having problems with the Ramos, Marcelo and the Ronaldos of the team because of his overbloated ego that's good at nothing but causing upset everywhere he goes.

At no time must any side be less than 7 on the pitch of play except during PKs.

So once a side is less than 7, the ref is expected to end the game at whatever score it was.

It's lack of quality keepers that made us result to a good prospect in Uzoho.

The reserve team in Spain play imajorly in division three even la liga two quality is lesser to championship.
