Best player by running around like headless chicken. i have never fancied his style of play. His tackles are too rough and he won't be forgiven during world cup. Now we have a tackling machine in Ñdidi, all we need is someone to sit deep and keep it simple with neat passes and let Ndidi do the fighting and running. Not two Fighers who will leave spaces for opponents to operate

Onazi input in d S.E midfield can't b undermine, boss take it or leave it for d past 5years now, cumulatively, he has been our best player in d midfield department if not d whole team self.... Wheneva he is not use,we feel his absence, let's forget abt likeness or not abt his style of play.he has committed, Brut, rugged and when fit gives 100percent on d pitch,he's starting eleven is as sure as Rohr sitting on d technical crews bench wink

I find the death of Chinedu Udoji quite incredulous. I heard he was man of the match in the game last night between Enyimba and Pillars only to give up the ghost just 7hrs later after his car crashed into a concrete.
To hear that his wife put to bed just last month. Jesus almighty Christ, what will be the fate of this young family? What will the young woman tell her kid about the whereabouts of his father? Is there an insurance policy for Npfl players?
What a tragedy. What a blow.
Rip capt Udoji.

Do you even need to explain this cos the two are wide apart,if not for health issue can Uzoho lace Ikeme shoe.

It's q case of one slice of bread is better than none.

In reality it's q monumental shame that we cannot find a decent quality goalkeeper so we are scraping the bottom of the burned pot.

just a question..do you often watch his recent matches in turkey?how do you feel about his perfomances?i feel he is slower these days in the eagles shirt unlike before.

He was very good in his last game.

In some of our most crucial games, Cameroon home and away, Onazi was amongst the best players. He still has the touch.

Yes, Onazi was unplayable in both games.. The number of times, he broke up play was remarkable. Outplayed Ndidi in both games.

My proposed line up for the world cup in a 4-3-3 formation
GK:Francis Uzoho
LCB: leon balogun
RCB: troost ekong
LB: brian idowu
RB: tyronne ebuehi
RCM: Wilfred ndidi
LCM: joel obi
CAM: john mikel obi
LW: Victor moses
RW: Alex iwobi
ST: ihenancho/Ighalo

Note my preference for two CMs Ndidi could sit deep sometimes while joel lays the passes and control play while mikel will be able to go forward. Mikel and joel can also inter switch
Mr Cromz, you are very intelligent, with a high taste to go with it.

Some posters on here really amaze me. This is a world cup year, no need for needless criticism's. Our job is to rally around these players, not calling them names, like plastic leg, headless chicken etc. Our negativity no matter how minute has a way of permeating. Who ever our final 23 is we should rally round them and BELIEVE. Even if Its Okpotu that is our top striker in Russia.

Overhyped? No one has ever overhyped him here.

I'm still finding it hard to understand what's going on with him.

Dessers has 7goals in 20games and most of it came as a substitute... His team's highest goal scorer has 10goals in 23games as a regular starter.

Dude once scored 2goals in a game and was back to the bench the following.

I don't think his bench role is down to Quality. Something is fishy... and I began to notice this after he declared to play for Nigeria.

How The Super Eagles Could Line-up At The 2018 World Cup

As the start of the world’s biggest soccer competition draws near, many football loving Nigerians both home and abroad would begin to wonder how best the Super Eagles could line up against oppositions.

It is no longer news that we have been drawn against football powerhouse Argentina, Croatia and Iceland.

I believe for most games in the completion the Super Eagles will line-up with a flexible 4-2-3-1 formation. I take a look at how we can field our players.

Goalkeeper: Rohr invited the young goalkeeper Francis Uzoho to compete with Ezenwa. Although, Uzoho impressed many with his calmness and ball distribution in a friendly against Argentina, Ezenwa would still be a better choice

Back Four: I believe the two center backs need no altering, both Ekong and Balogun keep delivering when it matters. Provided there are no injury issues this would be the best partnership we can boast of.
The fullbacks might be a tricky one as it depends on if we the boss decides to go for a flat back four or the more modern one.
Ola Aina can fill in at left back or we can get Brian Idowu to do the job if need be. At right back it is going to be a tough one between Shehu and Ebuehi, not forgetting that Aina could also play that role.

The Double Pivot Role: We could have Onazi and Ndidi or Ndidi and Agu or Agu and Onazi. But I will stick with Onazi and Ndidi, they have both done it together in the past. Like we all know experience does matter.

The Hole: This best suits Mikel Obi, where he can apply his experience and short passing attributes. One man many seem to be forgetting is Joel Obi. If indeed the gaffer needs am extra body in the opposition’s box , we can count on the Torino man.
I am not saying this is Joel’s best position but he brings lots of creativity with his game and we do not want to disrupt an already gelled double pivot partnership of Onazi and Ndidi.

Winger and Inside Forward: If you have played a lot of football manager like I have, you would agree with me that these two work well in this system. Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses would be my pick.

The Frontman: Hopefully Iheanacho. Not having the best of seasons as we would have hoped, but you can’t take away his brilliance.

This looks like a good fix, but the gaffer would have the duty to decide how he lines the team up. Hopefully we get a shot at the tournament that still eludes Africa.
