I was forced to move back to RR Nougat Brateloslavia's Build.
There's no time and strength to try every single one of them ROMs.
But I'm still patiently waiting for an update on Cardinal.

Settings - Battery - choose apps - select the app you need to stay in the background - no restriction.
It you are not satisfied then go type settings - About phone - tap miui version for about 6 times to enable developer options. Then return to settings - Additional settings - Developer options - scroll down to the last option and Turn off miui optimisation.
I have done this. No changes bro. It's frustrating.
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by gbodimowo(m): 1:21am On Feb 20, 2018
if u need an app to stay on in the background do this

go to settings section at the top right corner of the battery display screen click the wipe cache option and change it from 30 min to a higher value

then press the menu/recent apps botton, use 1 finger to swipe down on the thumbnail of the app u want to lock in background and click the padlock and u il c a blue icon at its edge
if u like off the phone 1million times the app will always stay open in the backgroundf

Noted. For the good of all, we should just remain as transparent as possible. Was contemplating opening dispute with a seller for flashing a fake rom on a Meizu M6 note I picked up since around Thursday. Phone didn't show any other battery level apart from 50% and didn't last up to 20 mins when charged. Messaged seller for such a mess but up till now there is no response. Actually wanted to punish him /her in anger, but just decided to take my time and about 2 gig of data to flash the official rom. Your post just made me totally erase any possibility of dispute with the seller. Don't want to be a source of obstacle to anyone including myself in future, but some sellers can push you to the wall.
You don go meizu shocked

Meizu dey really try for camera, the quality of pictures wey my sister dey take with my former Meizu U10 still dey surprise me till date. I keep asking her, Na that Meizu you use? lollllll. Dem dey try. As a matter of fact she be her colleagues go-to person for clicks. Really takes good pics tbh.

Instead of oga to face his work and post price list on every page, he'd rather be discrediting reviewers upandan.

Is it about the app icon showing in running apps or retaining the memory of where you stopped without refreshing/reloading?
Coz apps can show as running but whatever you were doing on it would not be what you meet when you return.
