Barcelona is no longer a club that scores goals with reckless abandone. Even in the league, they hardly have alot of shots on target. Even scorelines you rarely see 7:0 in multiple games unlike before. It's because the strikers Barcelona had then aren't available again. The ones present now hardly hit at goal, hence the input of a player like Paulinho. That's to show that Barcelona have limited goal threats unlike before. One thing you have failed to notice is that, even though Barcelona no longer score like before, thedefence is now better than before. They have the best defence in the league and also in this year's UCL. Icon79: |

somehow: Akwa United seem to be doing well in Banjul. They missed a penalty in the 22nd min but scored in the 39th min. They need one more unreplied goal to be safe. They are in the 42nd min of the first half at the moment. Modified...Akwa United is 2-0 up. 2nd goal scored at the start of second half. 2 Likes |

Certitude: 239 meters square. Not insignificant and Barça are well capable of exploiting those extra spaces. |

Every forumite on this thread should watch this video again and again, and they would understand how this game of football have evolved.. and how we don't just do a two way comparison of players as if that's all the story. some players are better suited for a specific game plan -- simple. Coaches must select players with dynamism in mind as well. kingphilip: 5 Likes 1 Share |

BascoVanVeli: They must have done a lot to correct the errors Banjul capitalised on in Uyo. Their host hasn’t had any shot on their goal so far and they seem to have more possession of the ball. 6 Likes |

Icon79:aAll over the world of football, people say Ronaldo make mistakes or had a bad game, but once it's Messi, no he didn't, but others did. He did last night. He didn't have a great game. Uninfluential to me. He's the tip of the diamond and he had to shift back to get the ball.... Well if only Chelsea open eye well. Conte-mplating Conte got it RIGHT 1 Like |

Icon79: Dembele just hardly returned from an injury, I wouldn't even deem it wise subbing him in when we have the return leg in a forthnight, he will get his chance. On Messi though, it sure beats me how people think he was quiet. I mean I can give 4 instance: 1) There was a one-two he did with Iniesta and if not for the fact that Suarez appeared as if he wanted to touch the ball Messi would have scored. 2) There was a cross to Paulinho which he would have scored normally and that would have been an assist. 3) There was a pass to Vidal towards the end of the game which left Vidal one-on-one with Christiensen, Suarez would have gotten a shot on goal if he was there and may have even scored. If I sit and watch the game again I'd probably see more, not to mention that he hardly lost possession all game long 3 Likes |

Nigerian goalkeeper quits South African giants - Nigeria U23 international Emmanuel Daniel has confirmed he has canceled his contract with South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side, Orland Pirates. The goalkeeper joined the South African giants last year from Enugu Rangers, but failed to establish himself there, and has now returned to Nigeria, where he confirmed he is no longer with Pirates. “I’m no longer with Pirates,” he simply told SCORENigeria. However, he won’t reveal his new destination. It is understood that his lack of game time at Pirates caused his contract to be called off. The former Enugu Rangers and Shooting Stars shot stopper was outstanding at the Rio Olympics as Nigeria finished third in Brazil two years ago. 2 Likes |
