NwaAmaikpe: The verdict is in his favour, it is GTB who is bringing in a third party (EFCC), even after court verdict. |

it seems most people here gave poor comprehension. Innoson paid 90% of the debt he accrued from the bank. At the time of paying his loan, the court ordered customs to pay his money they sold off illegally. Now if custom had released the money. Both innoson and access bank would be settled, but access bank conniving with Custom as their Banker, tried to play a fast one on him. Now that's day light robbery. Since obansanjo era, this case has been in court. Nigeria is really F.cuked up due to our slow Court Judgement. This case at the supreme will take at least 5years before we get judgement. |

Newpride:Go and read the story again. Gtb took the remaining 200million and 560million on top of it. Which gtb agreed they did. The problem is the refund with the interest accrued. 1 Like |

onyibor84: How did he arrive at his 21B within a space of 10 years or there about? There are so many loopholes in his account. How dis he know that GTB was having Customs 10B in the bank How would GTB tamper with Customs momey without customs approval? He was paying down principal that started accruing interest from day one and thought the bank will waive interest accrued? Who does that? Obviously the bank system was debiting his account with monthly interest repayments. It's this repayment that he is claiming the bank is owing him and also calculating his own interest upon. 1 Like |

Newpride: Learn to quote properly. I wouldn't have seen this if I was relying on my mentions. That aside, maybe a little lecture on how judiciary works. You see, when you appeal a court judgement, a stay of execution can easily be obtained against the judgement pending when an overriding judgement is obtained at the appeal. Fortunately for us, the supreme court is the highest court in Nigeria, meaning once a judgement is reached at the supreme court, there is nothing GTBank, or anyone for that matter can do about it. Comply or face the consequences, dazall! So, the lecture done, the 21b Innoson is quoting is based on a 22 percent interest rate, as ordered by a competent court in the second judgement received, not some claims as you so put it. One more thing, learn to talk properly in public (maybe you didn't know Nairaland is a public forum, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt). 2 Likes |

Aside everything written, here are facts. Innoson borrowed from GTB. INNOSON paid 90% principal. Customs illegally auction the goods innoson borrowed for. Innoson was paying debt even when the business he borrowed for was not successful. Innoson sued customs and won. GTB rather than supporting their customer and paying judgement debt. When ahead to support the illegal activities of the customs against innoson. Finally, GTB like every other thief caught by the police in robbery, went and stole 500 million from innoson account while he was still paying them. GTB was caught stealing from their customer and admitted they stole 560 million instead of 700. They agreed to pay what they stole with 7% interest, while innoson paid his loan with %22. My judgement. A bank that stole 500 million from a customer in civilized countries would not even want the story mentioned before paying with interest. Such action could cost them operating license. However, just like our leaders are shameless, the bank is also shameless . No wonder we are called shithole. A bank admits to theft and has the right to decide interest rate to pay. I see no difference between GTB and armed robbers. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Nutase: Which media trial? Hasn't innoson sued GTBank n won in 2 courts already? Wasn't it GTBank that brought the whole case to the media? The way you Yorubas defend nonsense just because GTBank is a Yoruba owned bank is just alarming. People with zero morality. 3 Likes 1 Share |

onyibor84: Maybe you dont understand what happened yourself. He refused to pay the remaining 200million naira which later accrued an interest of the 560million over time. Gtb wouldnt have thrown his account into that debit if he had paid down his loan. This is a crook and should be dealt with as such. |

Useless Bank@ GTB.(Thieves) They will never reverse any failed transaction. They have done that to me several times(I will call, Chat, fill & send dispense error form online and even email them to complain, yet nothing would be done.) I work outside town where no branch in available, for me to visit any, i will have to miss work for that day. So annoying, am just waiting for my leave to be approved, let me go and tell them how i feel about their useless customer services and non nonchalant attitude towards customers. 1 Like |

Ofemmanutosure: He refused to pay balance 200m after a fed high court has asked customs to pay him 2.4b. why did gtbank not honour the court ruling? why did gtbank approach custom to appeal a case that had nothing to do with the bank? and why did gtb not deduct from the 10billion customs had with them to pay innosson like the court ordered? and simply deduct their 200m from there . why did GTb agree that they stole 560m from his account? why would dey give loan at 22% and they want to pay back at 7%? GTB are rogues and I bliv there is a high concpiracy by GTb to put the man out of biz. But God strong pass them....... 2 Likes 1 Share |

shallysgirl: All of a sudden he forgot the interest on the 1.5bn he borrowed. the 560 million could be the interest accrued by his debt to the bank. If you have borrowed money from a bank, once it is time to payback an interest, it automatically debits you whether you have money or not. How would GTB pay him from customs account without a directive from the customs |

Re: Gtbank Owes Me N21bn – INNOSON by Pesuzok(m): 9:15am On Feb 23, 2018 |
Ofemmanutosure: not on 200 million, but on 1.5bn because he never paid the interest |
Re: Gtbank Owes Me N21bn – INNOSON by fideleict: 9:05am On Feb 25, 2018 |
Pesuzok: GTB illegally deducted 560m from Innoson's account over a certain period of time some years ago and the court told the bank to pay back that money at 22% interest rate. The same rate innoson is paying the bank for the loan taken. Isn't that fair enough? Innoson is owing the bank 200m plus interest on 1.5b loan at 22% while GTB is owing innoson 560m plus interest at 22%. Customs is also owing Innoson for illegally selling his goods (goods bought with the 1.5b loan). |
Re: Gtbank Owes Me N21bn – INNOSON by Cairns: 2:20pm On Jun 11, 2018 |
Pesuzok: There is what is called "Garnishee proceeding" in law. In the simplest of terms, If I get a Court judgment against you to pay me say 2million naira and I discover that you have an account with Access Bank holding 5million naira, the law empowers me to inform the Court by way of a Garnishee proceeding and the Court will order Access Bank to pay me my 2million from the account you operate with them holding 5million naira. That is what Innoson did in respect of the Custom case. Custom's account with GTB was garnished and the Court ordered GTB to pay Innoson over 2billion naira from Custom's account holding over 10billion. GTB doesn't need Custom's approval here. But instead of GTB to pay, they refused and appealed the decision and have lost at the Court of Appeal Ibadan. They are at the Supreme Court now and GTB already lost a part of the Supreme Court's ruling on some of the issues raised. Mind you, this is different from the case in which over 14billion was ordered by the Supreme Court that GTB pays into the Chief Registra of the Court of Appeal's account until their appeal is determined(this is illegal deductions' case) GTB is in a serious mess. Their legal team needs to be sacked. |
