About a week ago, a bug was released on the internet causing apple products to freeze; the bug was caused by a particular character found in India’s Telugu language. The good news However, is that apple has just released a suite of updates to patch the bugs on IOS, Mac and other apple devices.

Over the course of the last few months apple has been battling with several notable bugs with this particular one being the most annoying, it would freeze apps like watsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Imessage and others, just by receiving messages on any of these apps that contains a particular character from the Telugu language. Since the Apple software cannot interpret this character, that particular app will keep crashing.

The Bug wreaked Havoc on a lot Twitter users particularly due to the fact that it’s easier to spread on twitter than any other app because your phone will be affected if anyone in your feed uses the character, whether or not you intentionally view the tweet.

Prior to the release of the updates from apple, the only walk around users applied to get their device working normally was to connect to a non-apple device and locate the character causing the crash on that particular app and then delete it.

Going forward, IPhone and IPad users are advised to get the IOS Patch 11.2.6 update on their devices ASAP and Mac users are also advised do likewise with MAC OS 10.13.3 to avoid being affected by the bug.

According to mac world , this news goes to buttress the statement made by Apple’s software Chief Craig Federighi stating that Apple plans to focus on fewer “big” software updates in favor of a great commitment to iOS stability. If last night's quick fix serves as any indication, Apple is taking that commitmentseriously.
