Now, even if God doesn't exist as you speculate, the laws of Physics still validated the Christians point of view.
The sun will certainly die one day
The velocity of the earth will reduce
The whole solar system will collapse into the sun

So, you are wrong, the christians are right!

That is in five billion years from now but before then there would be much better civilizations and advancement as clearly depicted in the picture unlike the Christians that believe the world is getting worse everyday and everything is a sign of end time to them and that end time is coming soon, so no, the Christians are wrong

Christians also claim in Revelation that stars will fall from the sky to the earth! How is this possible according to the law of physics and common sense? One star is big enough and filled with much gas to wipe off earth before it even comes close to earth, how is it possible that so many of them will fall to Earth according to Christian point of view?

I think the picture doesn't fully depict the real situation. Modern day christianity is more about prosperity and less about doomsday!

Here are the explanations

1. Stars are actually smaller, science has the sizes wrong

2. Those verses are parables and the stars actually represent .............. (insert anything from perfume to chainsaws, anything goes while dragging several other unconnected BuyBull verses as proof) and the earth represents ............. (anything goes here too)

3. Those things have happened in the past and not the future

4. You're fighting my imaginary friend

6. Talk to the Hole-ly Spirit to help you understand

7. It will happen whether you like it or not, repent before it does so you can have mansions in heaven (what would one need mansion for in a safe environment and no risk at all is beyond me)

If you were John 2000 years ago, what would you call a rocket, an A-Bomb, a helicopter gun ship when you see one. John described exactly what he saw to the limit of his understanding.

But, you'll agree with me that the end of the world is catastrophic as has been predicted by Christians. That's the bone of contention

Since Christans did not insist on the time of fulfilment, whether it is 10 trillion years from now or not is not the issue. The issue is about the final state of the earth and Christians got it correctly.

2.Revelation 6:13-14 is talking about an Event YET to come, and as such cannot be proven or disprove by science. To say the book describe something that is impossible, is to say the event has happen. Secondly, the bible make it clear, john don't understand what he was seeing, He was only instructed to write what he see. Thirdly. The Greek word, astayr, besides being translated "star" can also have the meaning "comet," "meteor" or "asteroid", since there is no Greek word having this meaning. Even our English language refers to meteorites as "falling stars." The description of the "star" Wormwood seems to be that of a large meteorite or comets

scientist have estimated the time the world will end to be around 5 billion years from now but before then there would be an advance future both in welfare and technology,, we know it's not ending now, definitely not in our life time unlike Christians who claim Jesus would come like a thief in night for hundreds of years now and that the world is deteriorating, according to them it could be today or tomorrow,or even the next minute, so no again, the Christians are wrong!

grin cheesy

Tell that to those who died between yesterday and today that their world has not ended. In fact go and tell them about this your future you expect to see when you have absolutely no control over what happens to you in the next hour nor do you have any control over what happens in other countries of the world but would only hear about what has happened through the news outlets (that is if you would still be alive to watch the news by the time those things happened) grin

You have no idea how powerless you are regarding this future you brag about do you?

Guess the statistical probability of humans fighting themselves to extinction, then your 5billion years (if all things work perfectly) does not hold.
Estimate the destructive power of the sum of chemical, biological, nuclear and conventional warheads already in stock. They would destroy the world 500 times over.

Sorry, you are still wrong because your conclusion is based on a perfect world which doesn't exist

It's very possible that man himself can be very destructive, man have the power to destroy earth if so willing but even with the advancement in technology and nuclear warheads, man have never been safer, people can leave their home and get back safe, there are various drugs that cure infections unlike the dark ages when religion was rampant and everyone relied on superstitions for everything, countries today see less need for war and more need for negotiations, nothing is perfect but we know one thing for sure no Jesus will come like a thief in the night from the sky riding a winged horse to come and destroy earth, no jehovahwitness is flying to the sky on the last day, no one is bearing any mark of a superstitious beast, and end time is not near, so my brother, you are very wrong

The original post wasn't about whether Jesus was coming or not but on the future final state of the earth.

History has shown that humans don't learn from history.
First world war 20 million dead, people thought that such will never repeat itself

Then came Second World war almost 60 million dead. You are optimistic that Third /Fourth war will not happen?
Estimated dead in third world war if it happens is almost 500 million direct deaths, ecological damage would be world wide.

What are we still doing now?
We are amassing more lethal weapons. The bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki are toys compared to the ones we have now. Hydrogen bomb is 500 times more powerful than the little boy used on Japan. We have inter ballistic deployment systems to carry them. Since the second world war, we have perfected biological viral and bacteria weapons with no cure.

If there would be peace why is every country preparing for war? Is the world waiting for a Prince of Peace?

Can you guarantee world peace?

If we can't, then you are wrong. It takes a few lunatics and the whole world would boil

And those lunatics are already here and others are being groomed as we speak.

It's all about military might today and the massive arms race.

North Korea is seeking an opportunity to run riot

Taiwan is boiling

Ukraine is on the brink

The Middle East with focus on Syria is a mad house and a hell hole right now

The world remains jarringly dangerous. The diplomatic confusion in the world has only added to this danger, this has increased the chance for miscalculation in crisis and noncrisis situations. The entire world daily is on the brink of destruction. Just one wrongly spoken word, one misplaced aggression, one overreaction, one push of a button, one show of strength by a military and it would all come crumbling down.

hello friends,
i know this is a nice place to talk about the Revelational mystery of God. and i also believe that if we don't start talking about it now, we will miss out in God's plan for the future.
i have something i think, will be of a great interest to us. there is a revelation God open my understand to see and since then i know the Bible is not just a religious book we carry around, but a Book of mystery (God's mystery). https:///yce86hff

And the Bible says, "when they say peace, peace..them sudden destruction.... "

Dear,
The stars the bible is talking about r not the physical ones u see in the sky.
The stars falling on earth are demons, the fallen angels. They were stars in heaven but became rebellious against God. The bible explains by itself. Satan was a star in heaven. Isaiah 14. And Jesus says in Luke 10:18: I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. So what the book of revelation is saying is totally correct.
The bible is the word of God, 100% true. take it or leave it
God bless u

You puny humans really don't have the power to destroy the earth as you claim to have. But since you go about creating creators of the universe, it surprises me not that you now consider your puny selves to be so powerful that you can obliterate the earth. Give you enough time and you'd even claim you can obliterate the sun, or the entire universe! You puny insignificant peoples!

In reality, you have as much power as an ant in an anthill where the earth is concerned. And with your teeny bitsy powers, you're more likely to obliterate all your puny selves off the surface of the earth than dent a tiny bit of the earth. And if you'd ask me, good riddance to you all. At least the trees can flourish in peace after you're gone.
