Uncle calm down! I am creating awareness for people that intend to work after paying such ludicrous amount in the UK.

I had no idea what was involved when I was going to the UK, if someone had told me, I would have sowed a seed in their lives to thank them! Everyone is at liberty to start a business, however, whether or not the business will be patronised is a different matter. Yes, they offered education, but you sef, when you go to market, wont you will ask for jara on top? I did not do education to sit down in my father's house, to count ceilings, I did it for a job!

Check this: if UK Unis put up a disclaimer that international students have a 1% chance of working, would they see any international student? (other than those Chinese guys, who are the real owners of blood money after the Arab guys grin)

Look, I personally reaped from studying in the UK, I got the most amazing man and I have a degree got me a job as soon as I returned and can get me a PhD into any school in the world with a scholarship sef. I am only worried about the people that probably borrowed that tuition, hoping to get jobs to pay it back.

Also, saying that they owe jobs to their citizens is funny, their citizens are mostly underqualified for lots of jobs thats why their are huge numbers of unmanned jobs and shortage lists in the UK. Ok, How much tax do you pay? how many of their citizens actually work and pay tax? how many public incentives are you allowed to use? You work so hard and pay so much in taxes for their citizens to enjoy so much. Without non citizens, their country will be crawling, that's why they are sad about the Brexit. Like I said, I am cool with their laws, but its too tough. the other countries that are lenient, do they have two heads?

The country is not by force nau. Shebi, they didn't force you or me to go there, and if we're not happy, we can leave.
That's why we sign contracts, etc...
The one they are doing in Nigeria, is it any better? Just saying, we don't really have a say in the matter and that's just the way things are.

Personally, i never had money for post-graduate studies and if my intention was to go and get a job, i would research very well. But most Nigerians know, but just go with faith! But Faith is more of a Nigerian thing in believing Faith will sort out our problems....Faith can work, but me i am a doubting Thomas and will over research before jumping into the ocean to hunt for Fish

I will reiterate the bolded just incase you missed it!

Just because MTN is expensive doesn't mean users cannot complain about it or dissuade people from using it. You are in the UK and you are currently enjoying the benefits of people's feedback before you purchase stuff, so please allow other people enjoy feedback of people that have schooled there! You say a lot of people know about the impossibility of working in the UK, well, my brother, I did not and would have appreciated being told, that way, I would have invested the nearly 8 Mill in my beauty business in Nigeria (my mate that invested less is now a celeb make-up artist).

Whatever the UK wants to do is solely their business, but it doesn't stop me from enlightening unsuspecting students about the perils that come after studies.

Cheers boss.

Though UK offers the best education but it's not ideal for the average nigerian except your parents have a lot of money. Besides if it is not a major league University, count me out.

560k monthly for a student job is small?

Its also the basic, u can earn more if u add another side job or work over time.

So I think its fair.

Lol
But why convert to naira?
You aren't spending in naira you know..

It's akin to sb in NY making 1k dollars, that's roughly 360k naira. Big money. But it's a pittance over there. The person is in penury there.

We are not talking about proffessional job here...I'm talking about student job that is easily available here and thats the basis.

Many companies pay more than that like daimler(2000 euro), volkswagen 2200 euro.

All these job requires nothing...just permit and strength.

How much are you expecting them to pay for a non proffessional job?

All government universities in Germany are free.

Legally you have 18month to stay over after your studies...thats enough to get a job to stay here forever.

German government is immigrant friendly.we want skilled labour workforce.

Plenty student jobs from amazon(1300 euro monthly) to daimler Mercedes-Benz (2000euro).

Free education and semester ticket to make life comfortable.

I live and study here and visit uk.....very close to each other.

UK government is after your money...RUN

The money is yours....

Its a proof that you can finance your stay here for the first one year.

When you arrive, you walk into the bank and liquidate the account.

720×12=8640.

Every month the you can access 720 euro from the account.

I agree with the OP. The UK immigration policies are increasingly hostile to international students, but don't forget, this is a country that voted for Brexit. The vote for Brexit showed that the hostility expressed towards immigrants isn't just directed at non-EU immigrants, it's directed at EU immigrants as well. The average white British has an inglorious reputation of being cold and unwelcoming, but always with an artificial smile on their faces.

Unfortunately, the current conservative government has closed all the measures put together by the previous Labour government to encourage international student to stay after their studies. I came to the UK as a naive international student in 2009, and in 2011, I got my 2 year post-study visa. In 2015, I got my British passport on the back of an immigration pathway introduced by the previous Labour government. The pathway I used circa 2009-2015 has since been closed. The 2 year post-study visa which I enjoyed in 2011 after my studies was the first to be abolished.

Personally, I wouldn't encourage any international student to come to the UK for now. We are hoping that the current government will crash very soon, so that a new Labour government can come in to revamp the current immigration system and make it less hostile to students. If you read the Labour party immigration policy statement as set out by Diane Abbott, you will find that enshrined in there is a commitment to ensure that there is a streamlined immigration pathway for international students to naturalize easily.

One cold bottle of star for you.. sorry, is it lager now or red wine? Lol. You took everything from my head and added more sef.

However I’m unsure that the labour govt will be able to take over, at least not until the old ones that are allergic to immigrants are dead. I mean, precisely because of brexit is why they wouldn’t let LP take over, especially Cos LP favours immigrants (tbh, LP just care about sustaining the economic situation in the UK and ensuring that their citizens go to school, I don’t know why the public is so blind to this).

Me sha I don’t want them to totally open up their borders, if not, every Tom, Nkem and Shola will enter the UK just like that grin.. I just want them to relax it a bit.

Dear knowledgeable Nigerians,

What's your take on someone who intends to do his Msc in Estonia. Do you think the country is a good country in terms of employment and other benefits? The country usually gives 6 months after the completion of studies for you to look for employment.
