Firstly let me greet all the boss and bosses in this business section especially those who rock mini importation business. Starting from Boss Ymodulus to the other boss i learn almost 50% of importation business here in nairaland.

My journey on mini importation started right from my 100 level days but seriously almost every body know how to import but only 10% know how to market and sell what the import 'effectivcelly'. My brother and sister is not easy to sell if you dont kn ow the art of selling.

But before going to the main course i will like you guys to do research on facebook ads on your own first, their are alot of materials online only that you cant know it all with free materials. You can go to this url to know little on facebook

Facebook is a great place to sell any of your imported or any other product online. As the largest social Network in the world that have many tools and other social media like Instagram and whatsapp. It has more than 1.23 billion active users, 62% of whom log in on a daily basis.
Facebook has more than 19million Nigeria active users, of which almost 60% of whom log in on daily basis

Before going further I will like to chip in this learning facebook or other social media marketing through post or pdf is not really interesting [my own thought] , I prefer learning through video and of which I know is the best so at the end of this tutorial I will introduce a video tutorial.

Before you import that product again have done your research? The product can be on the list of hot trending item but if you ddont do your research well……
BEING researching and working on social media marketing majorly focusing on facebook, Instagram and whatsapp I can vividly say that your customers are online, I mean the real buyers of your imported items are online BUT I Notice that some mini importers are still not getting it right. So in this thread I will be focusing on some MAJOR mistakes some are still doing and how to correct it on how I set MY PRODUCT ads [ WAIST TRAINER, SLIM PANTIES , WRIST BAND, Beard OIL , OTG FLASH DRIVE and WIRELESS RECHARGEABLE MOUSE]

ANALYSING ON HOW ONLINE AND OFFLINE MARKETING WORKS
Forget about face book now let talk real time on marketing. Talking on real marketing now for any successful marketing and selling of product be it online or offline you need to know this:
Budgeting
ANALYSING
Targeting
I NOTICE that one of the major mistake some guys are still doing is that they though there is miracle online lol, there is no any miracle online, before going further let me say this if don’t know how to sell and market your product effectively offline I doubt how u will get online right without making much of trial and error .You know why They both work along , if you can analyze very well on how u can sell that product offline I promise u online marketing will be easy for you.

Some don’t work along with their budget or let me say that they don’t even have any budget at all , they just think that after importing the next thing is to go to facebook and run an ads let me tell you the fact it doesn’t work that way and if it works for you not going to be effectively, Because you don’t have budget for that facebook or instagram ads you are running.

If you have a good budget on how much you want to use for facebook ads it will help you on ANALYSING how you can effectively use that that #5000 effectively in getting more sales.
BUDGETING, ANALYSING and AUDIENCE
DON’T deceive yourself they all work together if you miss one u might possible go wrong because your budet will lead you to analyses and that will lead you to KNOWING YOUR REAL AUDIENCE.

Example on offline marketing using BUDGET, ANALYSING AND budgeting

Before I give you guys example I hope you all know that im astudent from one of the major universities in Nigeria I mean im in 300level presently but I have working experience of 3.5 years on mini importation . Story

I remember toward the ending of last year I try to sell in my school using this method , but not just selling but effective one.
I do my research on what is trendy online using google trend and some other tools , having some G guys in my school and some runs dude , I REALISE THAT This 2 product will be hot: Waist trainer and beard oil. Yes those 2 is a gem you know why , girls wanna loss weight and almost 20% of those girls are now going to gym centers but only 1% have waist trainer, they wan be like kim….. and also my guys on campus wanna grow very beautiful beard to woo scam those girls also… lol… They are both scamming themselves both has smart guy I notice that money is in campus, If you are a student and possibly you are reading this now let me confess you can still import and sell without using facebook all what u need

My whole budget for this 2 product is 50k just to try the dept of my buyers
Imported 10 pieces of waist trainer and 10 pieces beard oil
The type of waist trainer I bought cost almost #2320 per piece due to some certain conditions and because they are original
On beard oil that one is very cheap , but I realize something when doing this major sellers on 1688 they are nice and they are ready to have conversation with you, but some mini importers are not chatting with them because they don’t know how.

After getting those product the next budget is on marketing and selling of this product. I spent roughly 40k on importing and shipping and the remaining money on marketing.
I know my figures, I know how much it remains for me to use in marketing those product, this leads me to Analyzing on how to get my customer and get them engaged , By analyzing I know where my audience are and I know how to get them.
How to get my audience I know where they hangout, where they go and what they do
For the waist thing I approach some gym centers instructors on business THING and create whatsapp group on how to do some workout along the waist trainer to loss weight and train your waist.
Let me gist you on how I got the beard oil deal.
First: my target customer here are G guys [lol]
Second: Mostly those guys they don’t normally go to class but
Thirdly: they do normally do their hair I mean they love their hair style, so tracking them using their stylist and bar house ….
I hope now you realize how to source for product that will sell and how to sell it.

NOT EVERY PEOPLE YOU SEE ON THE STREET or THE all FACEBOOK 19MILLION users Are your buyers even if they like your post but you has as marketer you already have your own targeted buyers out of them because All fingers are not equal.

Some are still wasting their money by targeting wrong people, if you know that their is no means of transporting or sending your imported product to kaduna, kwara enugu e.t.c and you are using POD why wasting your money by using facebook ads in targeting those guys in that locations.

This is simple but truth, in that your own location if you know how to target effectively your buyers are in that your location..

Let me come in with this, i know one of the biggest mistake some mini importers are doing is ability of not ready to learn but i took my time to do research,buy tutorials and after that i'm ready to teach u guys for free but i can see that guys are not just ready to learn from others mistakes.
