Listen & Silent have the same letters... Let those who want to listen take the lesson. Everybody's case is different. People married to those with papers have a different story. Those in shortage fields have a different story. They are not as many as the rest. Main point #BeWise #StayWoke Post was to enlighten those who are unaware #Peace ☺ 9 Likes |

I don't know if this counts. I've been freelancing for close to six months now I've worked with people from Australia and the UK. of all, the UK guys/company I've worked for are the best so far. Very honest and seem not to have a problem sending more clients my way despite the fact that I'm Nigerian and live in Nigeria. I don't know how it feels when one's there sha. this is my observation from the few I've met. |

Geetrix: Sure there are.....I was just unfortunate to secure one recently because the company is not licensed for tier 2 visa sponsorship. I was set to discuss the remunerations with the company next week on a project to be supervised by the company in Germany before the person communicating me discovered through a UK immigration lawyer that tier 2 visa sponsorship is a perquisite, and according to him the process to secure license for tier 2 visa sponsorship from UK immigration is very arduous and costly and takes several months. |

justwise: You see what you did here? This is exactly what saouri and I are doing. We are telling prospective students not to bother going to the UK if they intend to work. I don’t think it’s fair for anybody to backlash at us, most especially if they got into the UK before the post study visa was withdrawn or are working in the med field. There is nobody that wants to go to school because it’s sweet, we all do it to land a job. We aren’t being entitled by feeling bad that we couldn’t get to work in the UK, after all, if our country was any better, would we troop into the UK in he first place? The point is to create awareness (quite frankly I am tired of saying this) about the near-impossibility of getting a job there. Simple. Let people be aware of this then make up their minds on whether it’s worth the investment or not. I getting irritated at the condescending remarks I’m seeing on the thread! 11 Likes |

sacluxisback:Oh, they don't really give work experience there sef? And their curriculum stated otherwise; even packaged workshop opportunities to industries etc. Surprisingly, a friend is currently working there. She did hers at an Ivy league school - ICL. Well, I'm glad the tutor that interviewed me was honest enough to tell me about minimal opportunities as a student. Thanks for your answer. |
