Icon4s, see Ezenwa reckless rushing out against Cameroon that led to a penalty...The Striker was going nowhere and Ekong had it covered..

See the distance between Ezenwa and the ball in the second frame, a good keeper would have checked his run when he figured that the defender had it covered.

The man was not going to score from that angle
True talk. Ezenwa really messed up in that game

Uzoho is a young goal keeper with prospects and can still be taught/bent. How old is Ezenwa? It will take years if possible to teach or bend an almost 30 years old keeper.

He should be 29 years I think (football age)
goldfish80:

I wish Ezenwa got the same attention Uzoho is getting with the personal trainer. Ezenwa would have stood in good stead and better prepared for this world cup if the Italian Gk trainer was working closely with him at Enyimba.
The guy is very coachable that's for sure.

.......... but before Oliseh signed for Juventus he was a Regular at Ajax where he won the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup Twice. He spent just two Seasons with Ajax, won 3 Titles and had 54 Caps, 8 Goals as a DM - fantastic Stats I say. Let me also remind you he was a Regular at FC Cologne - 54 Caps, 4 Goals as a DM. Guess you know he joined Ajax after his outstanding and consistent Performance with FC Cologne in two Seasons consecutively?!

Did he flop at Juventus? No..... rather he had already established Players in the Team like Zinedine Zidane, Antonio Conte, Simone Perotta, Edgar David, Enzo Maresca to contend - for a Spot in the starting XI, I guess you and I know his Competitions ain't Rookies or average Players. He spent just a Season and leave for Dortmund because he didn't get enough Chances to prove himself not FLOP!

He played 22 Times in his first Season (2000 - 2001) at Dortmund, bar Injury and Suspension he was a guaranteed Starter - that wasn't FLOP. In 2001/2002 Season that Dortmund won the Bundesliga and a Runner up in UEFA Cup, he had 18 Caps while fiercely competing with an emerging Talent - Tomas Rosicky.

He lost his starting Berth to Tomas Rosicky in 2002/03, thus he sought for a Loan to Bochum in January of 2002/03 Season where he played 12 Times (Regular for the Team). He was still with Club for the following Season, 2003 - 2004 with a regular Spot in the starting XI and played 22 Times.

He returned to Dortmund, had 11 Caps before he was sacked in March 2004 for head butting teammate Vahid Hashemian while on loan at VfL Bochum allegedly over racial remarks. He wasn't released by the Club because he FLOPPED but for a disciplinary Reason.

In a nutshell, Oliseh Stats ain't average but controversial. The present Eagles are on the right Track, but they ain't on par or better than Eagles of 90s. We do not need to argue this, coz it's basically my personal Submission based on Stats and Figures.

My point is simple and i based it on being a flop at Juventus and Dortmund but am seeing you trying to tell me he wasn't a flop at Juve and Dortmund which i disagreed.

I followed Oliseh's career to the letter even before he made his debut against Ethopia and ended Friday Ekpo,s career with national team.

Sir am not saying Oliseh was not solid as a player,he was exceptional talented player from Leige to Regianna and Ajax but what do we called a player that find it difficult to break into a team and had 8 appearance mostly as substitute and released after a season?it's called FLOP.

At Dortmund,i think have analysed it in a very simple way,53 appearance in five season should tell you something and even loan to Bochum for playing time, what do you call such player?FLOP.

Sunday Oliseh had a good and solid career from 92 to 2000 but from 2000,it wasn't the same Oliseh again,so calling him a FLOP at Juventus and Dortmund does not belittle him as a good player.

he has been working with the trainers even before Uzoho was called up, but he makes the same mistake regularly. Doesn't sound very coachable, plus, it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks, but very easy to train a puppy.

Plus, I still think, Rohr prefers Uzoho because he has everything he looks out for in a goalie- imposing Physique, Confidence, Awareness, Authority.

Ezenwa and Akpeyi lack in at least one of those requirements.

Yes he need to adjust in his decision making.

If you look at what lead to his injury against Angola is avoidable cos instead of going with his hand he went with his legs, and on a good day some referees would give penalty.

I think goalkeeper trainer is watching and do necessary corrections to avoid such mistake again.

Except you will agree with me that Iheanacho is a FLOP at Leicester City presently, Musa also was a FLOP at the same Club before he sought for a loan Move to CSKA Moscow, cos contending with established Players as a new Signing with limited Chances ain't a FLOP

He was signed to compete with established Players like Zidane, Antonio Conte, Simone Perotta, Edgar David, but couldn't displace them because they are better than him - simple.

At Dortmund,i think have analysed it in a very simple way,53 appearance in five season should tell you something and even loan to Bochum for playing time, what do you call such player?FLOP.

Yes..... he had 53 Apps with Dortmund but are you intentionally writing off his 34 Apps on Loan with Bochum within the same 5 Seasons Sir?! I need to remind you that his 5th Season was inconclusive because he was released for a Disciplinary Reason. The below are the Breakdowns of his Apps with both Dortmund and Bochum.

First Season at Dortmund (2000/2001) He played 22 Times (in his debut Season), bar Injury and Suspension he was a regular Starter - that wasn't FLOP.

In his 2nd Season (2001/2002) Season that Dortmund won the Bundesliga and a Runner up in UEFA Cup, he had 18 Caps while fiercely competing with an emerging Talent - Tomas Rosicky. That's not FLOP either.

In his 4th Season (2003/2004), he was still with Bochum and was a regular in the first XI and played 22 Times. Meaning; he didn't spend all the 5 Years at Dortmund, 11/2 Years was spent on Loan.

In his 5th Season (2004/05), he returned to Dortmund and had 11 Caps before he was sacked in March 12, 2004 for head butting teammate Vahid Hashemian while on loan at VfL Bochum allegedly over racial remarks.

Do they really need goalkeeper trainer at their clubs.

Uzoho issue is under stable cos Rohr have seen what some us have been saying and only way to go about it is to have his goalkeeper trainer to him just cos of his level of experience and age.

I don't think Akpeyi and Ezenwa need any special trainer again, they have attained the age and experience in goalkeeping that they just need to be playing week in week out.

My major issue is Ezenwa, can he displace Fataou Daudou in Enyimba cos the guy is damn good from his clips have watched.

I would not deceive you Aigbogun must just have to be sentimental by given Ezenwa enough playing time and i believe this should be part of his contractual agreement with Enyimba.

Bros we are talking about a short term solution. Nobody is teaching Ezenwa how to catch a ball, I'm talking about improving and bringing him up to standard before June 2018.
Uzoho could be the medium or long term solution but in the short term, Ezenwa could be knocked into shape for Russia since he's the most qualified. His record isn't too bad for the main NT. Conceeding just 2 goals (penalty goals)in 4 games tells me there's something to work with if the managers aren't lazy.

I would disagree with you. A goalkeeper isn't too old to have a personal trainer. Petr Cech has a clause in his contract that he will move to Arsenal with his personal trainer. I know Buffon and Courtois have personal trainers (too lazy to dig up their names).
There's a reason why the best in the business always have their personal trainers.

Knocked into shape? someone that can't even keep first team shirt in the NPFL? bros he should first beat Dauda at ENYIMBA before thinking of first team in the SE for Russia except we're stuck with him. I doubt he can learn within 3 months on how to catch aeria balls and the rush to the head attributes of his. I believe if teaching was a viable option, Rohr would have also gotten a personal teacher for him. They must have been discussing all the GK at their disposal to know which of them should be concentrated on.

If not for the yeye shaking shaking we know Akpeyi for, he would have remained number 1. he's got the height, the shape/body structure and also the presence of a good goal keeper. not also bad with reflexes but sucks when it comes to confidence. Can't they just get him a personal psychology?

Oga, he was not their first choice at Ubah that i watched. i watched their game live at AGEGE stadium and he was not at the helms of affairs! team captain? Nwakanma Edwin was their first team GK while he was with them. it's not Injury that kept him out of being first choice at Enyimba, Dauda is 100% BETTER than Ezenwa sentiments apart!

Except Enyimba coach wants to put sentiments into play, he will remain on the bench. he was bought by Enyimba for business reason, hoping that when he makes it to the world cup, some foreign clubs might need his services and in the process make money from selling him!

That he couldn't keep a spot at PSL doesn't make him bad, at least we have seen him in the Ghanaian national team!

The truth is that we have our own peculiarities in Nigeria. We have to device a means to get the best out of what we have and not always following the European examples. That is the reason why I like the Chan tournament for what it is.

Belgium may not send their national team gk trainer to Courtois but Nigeria can do that because we have different challenges.

Well, I watched Ifeanyi Ubah against Rangers over both legs and he was the captain on both occasions. Yes Oxford and Cambridge can described it as something terrible but in football World a flop doesn't mean player is bad but a player who couldn't meet up despite club expectations on him, such player can go to another club and had it so good.

Oh Iheanacho not a flop,i still repeat it let his situation not changed then you would understand better.

Pls what has Musa recent performance at CSKA got to do with being a FLOP at Leicester.

Salah till today is referring to as Chelsea FLOP despite not given the chance to impress, but if a player is not given chance meaning someone is keeping that player on the bench or do you think coaches do it intentionally.

He refused extension and left the club.I have a feeling the patron of the club is cutting down his finance on the team, probably have something to do with his financing of the Obiano campaign because this season, they lost many key players like Isaac loute, Stephen Eze and Ezenwa to mention a few.

How I wish Ndidi can be bought by Barca or Real
The dude has developed beyond Leicester
He needs to mingle with star players that will bring the best out of him.
His future is as bright as Berger flood light cheesy

Yes, it's possible to have different ages on different passport with different names in Nigeria. don't ask me how, go close to Nigerian players to get the gist grin grin grin grin grin grin
I need to ask you cos you said it.

Initially i thought it was not possible with current e-passport and finger print.

he has been working with the trainers even before Uzoho was called up, but he makes the same mistake regularly.

Ezenwa and Akpeyi lack in at least one of those requirements.
he is like someone who never learn from his mistakes...I remember enyeama's wife make mention of how her hubby re-watch and study his past matches just to see his errors and correct them in subsequent matches....

in every field of human endeavours excellence never come cheap...you arrive for it and go extra mile...

he keep making same mistakes...he did same during the Chan tourney...rushing out...in fact we were so lucky not playing a team like Argentina where a skillful player can chop ball over his head to get a goal...

I even heard him say sometime ago....he hired a personal trainer...I guess he can learn from there...if he truly wanna improve.
