O goodness! This is just a little child that needs all the pampering and nurturing every other child deserves! What joy do all these heartless guardians derive in maltreating these children they acquire as helpers? Would they treat their own children that way? Look that swollen hand! The pain would be horrendous and she'd still be expected to use those hands to work and do household chores! These wicked people deserve the kind of slow and painful torture they have subjected this little girl to! |

ify84: Don't be quick to dismiss the importance of domestic helps. Imagine you're married, you and your spouse work and then you are blessed with twins or triplets... Even a full stay-at-home Mom cannot handle 2-3 infants alone. You will still be the one to complain that food is not ready or the house is not clean. The important thing is that little/underage children should not be subjected to this kind of experience and all parties must be humane/civilised in their dealings with others. Back in the days, we had more communal interactions with everyone looking out for each other. Now, the society has changed a lot.. |

This is wicked. Hiw long has this girl had injury on her hand with no anyi tetanus treatmen. Some women are so inhumane, how do you have an injured domestic help who does all the work and you maltreat her and leave her unattended medically. God help us women with a good heart. |

What some of these couples, or madams or ogas do not know, the seed of their wickedness will hurt them more in life. The Housemaids are not less human than their children, they will eventually do better than their children in life, I have experience first hand so many of such. Later in life, when they see the housemaid, they will not be able to face them. It is really pathetic, hearing these stories of wickedness towards children they use as housemaids. |

I beg all Igbo parents in the village, please STOP giving your children to all these wicked couples who return from Lagos to sweet talk you to release them under the guise of educating and caring for them as you would do. Most of them bring your children to Lagos and make them go through hell. I have witnessed quite a lot of these cases and had to intervene in a few to bring justice. Parents should stop giving their children away as house helps because majority of wives now are demons. Unfortunately the parents that gives out their children as help don't read dailies to appreciates reasons why they should stop the act. I think state government should empower local government to make use of local method (Town Criers) to sensitise the parents on the risk of sending away their children as helps. |
