timifakay: The more reason you should know that the driver from your example is a stakeholder compared to a private driver or company driver to the smallest of repairing a punctured tire he goes direct to the boss or assigned person to give cash because it is not a business. Wait until the partners decide to take care of the total running cost of the vehicle to the smallest, then you will be able to differentiate between khaki and leather how it will be in a business since you want to claim employer 1 Like 1 Share |

suco01: You are confusing a stakeholder/shareholder and a business partner. A stakeholder can be anybody involved in a business chain like managers, senior managers etc, a shareholder can be an individual who has bought some shares in the company, whilst a business partner is someone hugely financially involved in the business. If I own a factory and produce juice of 20m Naira daily, my stakeholders can be my top/mid/low level employees and my business partners are my major distributors who have committed huge amount of money in the supply chain. If you so wish to move from a stakeholder to a business partner then you need to meet up some more stringent requirements. During profit sharing at the end of the year in my organization, stakeholders like me get little and business partners get bountiful dividends. Infact the company holds a separate meeting with business partners. So Uber drivers who are currently stakeholders in the business and want to become business partners and earn what partners earn should once again drop their 1m or hide their faces. 3 Likes |

Dwightventures: Are you a Nigerian? If the answer is yes then you should shut up and find a way to profer a solution to a problem rather than sitting on the sideline and whinning like a sisi, am tired of Nigerians talking about what is wrong, we already know what is wrong young man, the question is what can you do about it, you have been reading over 60 pages and am sure you will continue reading up to 1000 pages without taking any action 1 Like |

ifyeez: If the only point you see in my posts is about income, then I'll advice you read again with an open mind. suco01: No, because a driver's responsibility is increased for his sake in order to minimize downtime of vehicle and driver so as to help him achieve the amount he should pay weekly doesn't turn him to a stakeholder. The driver's expenses are on consumables. One of the values fleet management companies can add is to be more involved in vehicle running and maintenance than the vehicle owner can. Therefore taking some stress off driver and giving vehicle owner assurance of a well maintained vehicle to ensure consistent income. 2 Likes |

olaboy1: What exactly is your point that employee (driver) cant be a stakeholder/is not a stakeholder. if your ansa is YES pls don't quote me again.. "So Uber drivers who are currently stakeholders in the business and want to become business partners and earn what partners earn should once again drop their 1m or hide their faces." What's the assurance that drivers wants to earn what partners earn? 1 Like |

You people are just arguing about who should earn more, instead of car owners to determine how they want to recoup their investment (ROI) in a reasonable time. As long as your car is being used well and maintained properly, what you should be concerned about is getting your money back with plenty extra. 2 Likes |

suco01: Monitoring is of different types sir. I can choose to monitor fleet manager, instead of drivers. Imagine having 10 cars. Which is easier; monitoring one fleet manager, or monitoring 10 drivers? Come on, I'm paying my manager now, he should do his work too. 1 Like |

blackylola: The same way i am not seeing otedola and other big companies owner in Uber. I am talking of driver being monitored cos i once loosed big in giving out a new bajaj bike for someone to manage for me while the person gave it to a bike rider. Those who heard about it blame.me.for not monitoring it myself. what is yours is surely yours monitor it closely. otedola kor efunsetan aniwura ni. 1 Like |

olaboy1: Your focus should be on how to maximize your investment, not on what other people earn. Every market finds it equilibrium point in terms of pricing; that's why car owners have been taking fixed amount, and you'd be surprised that drivers would end up delivering less thn what obtains in this market at the moment if you put them on a 70/30% deal. Focus is on how to recoup investment as fast as possible with reasonable markup, not on keeping other people down because you feel you are better than they are. Plus, whoever holds another man down has to stay down there with him, bro. 5 Likes |

ifyeez:same here, carried some guys from abulegba to badore ajah but discovered that their bill stopped reading towards the end of 3mb{cos I always checked the bill on motion to avoid stories that touch} told them immediately. It stopped reading on 3000 and refused to increase. Even 300 toll did not add.. I immediately renegotiated with them which we agreed 3k extra.. Lo and behold, they paid 3k and promised to send 3k since last Tuesday.. Till today I still get stories that touch each episode for each day.. Would ever try that again though. |
