In the Carabao cup yesterday

9 players who started had the early or part of their football training in Germany

Sane, Gundogan Aubameyang, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Kompany, KDB Ozil Mustafi

A40, Roland17 all those apostles of Bayern weakening the league, Is it really Bayern weakening the league when these teams cannot keep their players and they sell them abroad?

Would the Bundesliga have been better and stronger if Lewandoski, Muller Hummels Boateng Neuer were allowed to also go abroad?

KDB played major part of his football at Bremen and Wolfsburg

Kompany would have been a good enough defender for Hamburg that he left. He will be better than Papadopoulous thats playing CB for Hamburg currently

Anybody talking about Bayern weakening the league is not a serious person. There is no rule that says Bayern can't buy from it's on league as just like the rest of Europe we have every right to bolster our team with any good player in our league.. Anyway na this Coman matter dey really pain me now. We would have to go narrow for the rest of the year.

I'd think we play Hames on the left Robben on the right by default. With one of Mueller or Thiago combining with Arturo and Javi

I am even thinking why not Robben to the left and Muller to the right, Though Robben will lose his cutback ability, but he is still pacier than James on the wings and can deliver crosses

I hope its not Ribery sha

Malcolm - Coman on the wings sounds meh to me. Not enough star power

That Nas pikin? I no too trust most of these Brazilian ninjas cos most of them are dinheiristas. He is in an average Bordeaux team so I won't knock his attacking output too much. If he won't cost us more than 45m then he is worth the risk because he's just 20.

If we are looking for the Ribery prototype though then Thauvin is the obvious choice. Though Thauvin is already 25 so that's a factor to be considered but I think he'd fit on that left like a glove

I think the game has evolved beyond having two speed stars on the flanks. Madrid regularly used Isco on the left last year so I think James can feature there too, I don't think a suboptimal Robben on the left would help us.

For me the problem lies centrally. If Javi is the de-facto DM who then starts at CM between Thiago and Vidal? Thiago is a midfield controller and it would be unwise to leave him off as we go into the latter stages, at the same time we need Vidal's aggression. Maybe it would boil down to who we are facing but I don't envy Jupp at all

Every top side still have pacey wingers as their first choice, Pace is still important in attack if you are not pacey enough you get sent to midfield

City has Sane and Sterling, Madrid have CR7 and Bale, PSG has Neymar and Mbappe Liverpool is burning everyone with Sallah and Mane

Madrid went 4-4-2 because Bale wasnt fit, right now Isco isnt playing again and James was so benched and thrown out

Personally I must start Martinez and Vidal. Na Thiago and James go fight for the last slot. I prefer the solidity that Vidal and Martinez provides first and not for Thiago to be escorting players in the field.

Martinez---Vidal
--James/Thiago
Muller--Robben
------Lewy

With the absence of Coman we are down to one speedster in my opinion so we are pretty much where Madrid were last season. I think starting a Hames who can also play centrally means we can control the game and snuff life out of the opposition. Sort of like how the Spanish National team did

Pace is good but since we are short in that department we have to make do with what we have. The great equalizer would be for either Robben to master the left wing or for Alaba to channel his inner Marcelo

Coman's injury is tragic but provided Robben and our other non-Ribery options don't get hurt then there is still some hope

I havent seen this Thauvin guy play though I know say he flop for Newcastle but that should not stop us from getting him if he has shown that he has improved. Ribery sef at the beginning of his career went to Galatasaray didnt have a good spell, back to Marseille shined before coming to Bayern

Thauvin might be on a similar trajectory

There are some articles out there hailing him as improved.

https://www.si.com/soccer/2018/02/15/bayern-munich-target-marseilles-florian-thauvin-replace-ageing-wingers-robben-ribery

Also this Thauvin guy if he is good enough is of the right age. Malcolm is 21, Coman is 21. Baley is 21, Pulisic is 20, I am not a fan of having two 21yr olds running the wings for Bayern

A40 of the 3 Fekir Malcolm and Thauvin which is the real winger not just an AM fitting on the wings. Someone with lightening pace and good decision making

Ortiz is like 40. If Deontay loses he should just retire. I struggle to see past a Wilder win tbvh

Newcastle is a useless outfit. Playing with the likes of Jonjo Shelvey, Yahooze Perez and other average joes it's difficult to evaluate a player based on that loan spell

Baba I no trust Brazilians. Those guys are dinheiristas. Two seasons now he would tell us his childhood club was Real Madrid. That's best case scenario. Worst case scenario he becomes a complete flop.

Malcolm can play AM or winger. He's essentially an attacking mid disguised as a winger. Truth be told at that age we can still mold him to what we want so I'm not particularly about that. Fekir more or less a pure AM. Him free kick no be serey werey.

The closest prototype to Robbery is Thauvin. While nothing is certain in life, he's the one guy that would replace him without breaking stride
