Oh, I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it. I can't get enough of psychological thrillers. There is something about sociopaths/psychopaths that fascinate me. Some are very charismatic and can brainwash you if you listen to them talk long enough.

On your NB, don't mind anyone that criticizes a top show or you, because it's their loss, not yours. I saw some of them talking smack about Altered Carbon, and I laughed. When a show is given generally favorable reviews by professional critics, then, you know the show's got spunk. It's obvious they didn't get it. Most of the plot and subplots flew right over their heads. Like I said, don't mind them, and if you know any show that you like, feel free to recommend, that's what we're here for.

Lol..I didn't enjoy altered carbon too and its simply because I like seeing reality in movies or series I watch. The moment I start telling myself its just a movie, it's being acted, trying to justify "unrealistic" scenes, I lose interest.

It's why I never enjoy sci fi, fantasy, and Nigerian movies (no offence )

This show is so so lit. Imagine Humble Howard asking for a Gun. Imagine Quell discovering that his wife *******..

I can't get enough of this show though. Tactfully scripted, and scenes are well laid out..

Just finished binge watching Search party and all I can think is WTF WTF. Seriously this is show is crazy.

Gotta say this show isn't half as bad as I first thought. It isn't a medieval masterpiece or anything resembling epic, but, at least, it's an entertaining watch.

True talk. I honestly also wasn't expecting much from it but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
If there is one thing the show got going for it; it's Intrigue.

Yeah. At first, I couldn't stand it because of the historical inaccuracies, then, I realized it's a medieval fantasy ripped off from history, pretty much like what George R R Martins did with ASOIAF. It's a bizarre show with a great cast. The guy that played the governor in TWD, Zoe Wannamaker and the outcast are my outstanding performers. One thing that irks me about the ending is the way they killed off Kerra. Kerra of all people. Left me with a sour taste in my mouth. But my interest is piqued in spite of myself, cuz I'd like to see where the plot goes from there.

So, that's why he was familiar; the Governor in TWD I mean . Yeah, one can only hope there is a good explanation for kerra's death (it was particularly gruesome and I can only imagine painful). I really thought she was in for the long haul.

I did some research on that, and this is my findings: The actress playing Kerra was initially in for the long haul (she's the one pictured on the main promotional poster), but she landed another major role in an upcoming Paramount Network tv series. Since she's contracted to starr on only the first season of Britannia, she has no obligation to renew her contract since the show hasn't even been renewed for the 2nd season. Thus, killing off her character in Britannia is the only logical option since she won't be part of the cast anymore ... if it's renewed.

It hasn't been renewed, in fact, rumors are swirling around that Amazon may back off, leaving only Sky Atlantic to shoulder the burden of the cost. If true, then the show is as good as cancelled because there is no way Sky Atlantic will be able to pull that off alone. They are no BBC.
