Abi

Instead of all this junk, many busy families hire the services of domestic workers around Lagos because of their busy schedule. it all boils down to understanding

or better still, marry a white man. grin
very true most modern families these days with busy schedule hire house helps to look after their children . There are many modern equipments like the washing machine to make it easier washing ur clothes. She was mentioning about pounding for a mancheesy...who uses mortar and pestle these days?cheesy. There are yam pounder machines in place.things are so easier these days unlike in the past. Gone to some modern families and u will see that in most cases if d man is earning well and d major bread winner he will never stress d woman at all.such women will be in the sittingroom from morning till night watching zee world while d house maid is d one doing all d workcheesy.

Some things need to be said...the struggle/hardship for Women is real but so many Men don't want to hear it
It's alarming at the rate which Mothers in their 50s are dying...of stroke, heart attack...
it is the unhealthy lifestyle many ppl are living that are making them to suffer stroke, high bp and die early.it is not only nigerian women who get afflicted with these diseases...nigerian men also get afflicted with it.stop being sentimental bro.

assisting is more appropriate than a lady sitting in d sittingroom watching telemondo while d man is in d kitchen cooking all by himself.

The world is not fair to women... it's very inconvenient and hard to live as a woman especially in Nigeria.
People expect so much from women/mothers, and they dare not complain. They have to keep working and working and giving and giving (even during pregnancy) till they are exhausted, then when they reach ages between their late 40s and early 50s, they start to experience all kinds ill health, HBP, Arthritis, Hypertension, untimely death...and most men are not appreciative or sympathetic (the way they bash women these days ehn...especially on nairaland)
I feel so sorry for so many of them.
Appreciate Women!
Respect Women!!
Love Women!!!
I don't think your father would be proud of you for this above statement. Maybe you never had a father while growing up and don't know what it means to be a father figure. Appreciate all human being and not just a gender, everyone has his own role to play in this cruel world

I do appreciate all human being and their struggle but I think the society needs to cut the women some slack...

Do you know will happen when you overwork the body over time...?
More women suffer arthritis and hbp than men...whenever you go to the market to buy things, try to observe those market women...in the sun, they're there... in the rain, they're there...in the cold harsh weather, they're there... No break, No leave ,year in year out
Those are the ones I'm talking about!

ok, what happens in other people's home is not your business because their wifes didn't complain to you. Get married and cut your wife all the slack in the world undecided

You're just a boy who still needs some growing up to do

Is it anybody's fault that you chose to marry an uncaring man who doesn't help out in domestic chores

When you marry a bad spouse, you shouldn't expect him to turn an angel overnight.

That's what happens when your husband doesn't treat you like a WIFE. There's more to marriage then doing chores and she's not seeing that lol.

Lemme wait for the married aunties here to explain. To those calling her a feminist, I don't see where she mentioned she's one or is it just me? Someone cannot say what's on their minds before being tagged?

Does she has to be helping me in paying the bills before I do that? No!
I enjoy doing domestic chores while she relaxes on bed watching tele.

Exactly. Choose spouses wisely to avoid this kind of complaining. And she is not a feminist.

Why has OP changed the title of the thread from girl to feminist?

On topic:
The girl complains about men and marriage and her solution is to remain in daddy's house? Like seriously? It's outrightly annoying, though she is right that many women work more than their husbands, many couples share the bills but not the domestic chores.

Maybe because they drink and smoke more? Maybe because they grow bellies the size of a pumpkin even though they did not carry one pregnancy?
