I believe with a court affidavit and a reason for the change I think you would be fine. But whats the change like a overall change or using your middle name as first name? Because in my case I started using my middle name as written in my birth certificate as my first name in all other documents, school, passport e.t.c which was really not a biggie. If you can share the change we can have a better perspective of what you are talking about.

I got a message from NVC yesterday that my interview is scheduled in Lagos on 25th April at 6.30am. My priority date is 1st April and am on F2B. Although I was on F1 but triggered the opt out clause around July Last year which brought my application back to F2B.

Wow! Congrats. This is good news. Which means the next visa bulletin should move, cos F2B is currently in March. I hope F1 moves. Cos it looks like everyone in F2B ran to F1 becos of fear of the Unknown with what's happening with the immigration reform debate, which is what could be making it slow, while F2B is now moving Faster.

Just hang in there. It will come soon. Am being positive myself. Its not been easy. This is my 2nd petition. I have waited for like 10yrs. My first petition was filed by my stepdad. My mom said she didn't know it will not be approved, cos we waited for 3yrs before they wrote to deny it that he wasn't MY biological dad. She said if she had know she would have filed earlier that I would have left some years back. I just said God's time is the best.. You can imagine being an only child and away from your mum for years. I miss her a lot, but she also feels it more. Sometimes she wishes am around to help her do things especially coming back from work and feeling tired. And she's not getting any younger.
