I want to kindly point something out to y'all my fellow aspirants. You can't and shouldn't throw shades at how much time it's taking.

International recruitment for graduate positions takes typically a year and I'm talking out of experience, not what I heard!!!! I've had aptitude tests done online sef from the comfort of my room for international companies such as Rolls Royce(not the cars but the section that manufactures engines for the Airbus A380), Mott MacDonald (not McDonalds burger people o, lol), Siemens, etc.

I know most of y'all will say why didn't I get it, it's simple, they'll choose a British first and then European citizens before we are considered. That said, I got to the assessment centre of each of these companies and had to wait longer to get my rejection letter.

It's important to note that all of the said processes took up to a calendar year from the point of first tests to assessment centre invitation.

So anyone bashing DPR and saying recruitment shouldn't be done this way don't know what they are saying.

That said, I still hold faith, belief and hope that this process will have a high level of transparency and lots of people will be taken on merit.

Good luck y'all. The wait hopefully and fingers crossed should be over soon.

It's like some people don't like when this thread is calm and peaceful. So when they come online they will have to do by force speculations. Well it's the last month of the 1st quarter of 2018 and seeing that OND applicants have been called already, we "GT/EH" will know our fate in no distant time. Hopefully it doesn't stretch beyond this month for the sake of our sanity as applicants grin, the mental torture is really out of this world.
In the end may the odds be in our favor, may merit win over nepotism. All the best

So I tried to extract some information for us, to know exactly what's going on. But unfortunately I couldn't get much. Here are the little I have.
1. The head of corporate services and his team are done with Abuja. My source categorically confirmed that whatever "it is in Abuja they cooking" concerning the list is done. Because they have left Abuja today. Next week Monday they will be in their offices in Lagos. And this is an indication that they've hand over the list to FCC for vetting. He could not confirm 100%, but the body language says it all.
2. My source also says it's possible they hold the joint meeting. Because usually it's after the joint meeting that fcc will normally take the list with them for further assessment.
3. This one is for those saying the recruitment is hijacked. Someone very big from top tried to bring in his candidates, but they refused because they (the applicants) performed terribly in exams and interview. This sends clear message that the recruitment is merit base. And the sons of nobody will get this job.
4. Finally again my source asked the insider when should the applicants start expecting calls? And they said any moment from now. But before 16th of this month.

That's all I know. Let's hope they keep to their words.

Thanks for this Man.

But then, is it really through calls that the successful ones will be contacted?

You should also know that if not for top politicians, the DPR team won't have any reason to fly to Abuja. I'm not doubting smatgrid's info but believe me, the merit line is slim. You can not dump anybody from Abba kyari's (presidency) list to say he/she didn't perform well. Except you don't want the recruitment to hold. The DPR team can say anything to an outsider to keep his cool about the whole thing. The young lad that was presumed to be rejected due to poor performance I believe is either the name came in late or the politician that brought the name is not really a top man. Goodluck to all the successful candidates

This depends on your definition of a top politician and the prevailing circumstances. It is also possible that they went to Abuja because of the International Summit and then used the opportunity to reach out to FCC.

If you have been listening to the controversies and nepotism happening in aso rock, you would understand that the cronies of Mr. President are more interested in:

1. Special appointment

2. Government contracts

3. Selling of hard currencies

who wants to wait for a salary job no matter how juicy it is when you can become a billionaire for life by doing absolutely nothing?

You have not read of one of the Mr. President's cronies who is a billionaire in his 20's?

Which job will give him that kind of money within 2 years?

If somebody is actually connected to top politicians and the best you can ask for is a job then something is wrong with the person.

By handling the contract of FG school feeding programme in your constituency alone, you are made for life.

You people Sha like spreading pessimism like a plague. That's how they have been spreading it since 2016. Some even said it's just for show off that they won't conduct any test or interview.
That one failed, and you all still haven't given up!
Even if the merit list is just 1%... Thank you, we have heard.
Do you have anything else to say?
Because if you don't we have heard enough of this pessimistic views (you might say it's reality - well that's your own problem as my life doesn't depend on DPR).

Please if you want to quote me, say something very reasonable.
Thank you and have a wonderfully nice day.
