Ifu was playing the game with so much caution, so much that we only get to see the real Ifu when she is high on alcohol. I personally did not like the insinuation that she is a 'Virginia'. I saw it as playing on everyone's sensibilities and alas the CDQ Issue came up- she should have never allow that to slip out of her mouth.
