It was in this same state that a Yoruba governor with an Igbo wife later assumed power. I'm sorry if you must have miscontrued my comment. I am not suggesting that Yoruba land will accept emirates or become emirates.

I am just talking about how a gradual penetration and apologistic tendencies in respect to the fulanis on the part of yoruba elites could be easily exploited by the fulanis if this elite intermarriage continues.

You should know the power elites wield in our part of the world. A penetration into the elite class in our part of the world can have very terrible consequences on the masses, irrespective of the opinion of the masses.
