Check this out guys.
Eurosport has analysed and predicted Nigeria's group among others

Group D
Teams: Argentina, Iceland, Croatia, Nigeria

If the cliche hunters must insist on finding a 'Group of Death', this would probably be it. However, unless Argentina fail miserably, there will be no powerhouse of world football missing out on the group stages. Croatia have a clutch of talented players, Iceland are an incredibly tough collective to face and Nigeria are growing in confidence under Gernot Rohr and have some Premier League talent at their disposal, with the likes of Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses.

June 16: Argentina v Iceland, Spartak Stadium, Moscow (1pm); Croatia v Nigeria, Kaliningrad (7pm)

June 21: Argentina v Croatia, Nizhny Novgorod (6pm)

June 22: Nigeria v Iceland, Volgograd (3pm)

June 26: Nigeria v Argentina, St Petersburg (6pm); Iceland v Croatia, Rostov-on-Don (6pm)

Key battle: Every match. This group will almost certainly go to the wire.

Although Argentina are the standout name, they came very close to not qualifying. Croatia and Iceland will commence battle again after their qualifying campaigns ended in a win each. And Nigeria really cannot be discounted, even if they were in Pot 4 for the draw. If they play to their potential, they stand a good chance of reaching the knockout stages.

Prediction: Argentina to go through, with Croatia, who'll just pip Nigeria with their experienced star players.

me that my father is Abia, my mother is Delta, I was born in Lagos, raised partly in Lagos and partly in Abuja. I have only been to Abia once, 16 years ago, but I visit Delta more.....where will I claim?

In most African nations, anywhere your father is from, that is where you are from....any other English wey you wan talk, na you sabi grin.

At least, you will have an understanding of how those foreign born players feel. Such an occurrence is not limited to FBs, there are many Nigerians having identity crisis because of all these migration stuff.

Lucky for me, I have never picked anything from Lagos or Abuja and there are just as many Igbo people in these places, unlike somewhere like Kogi.....I might not be deep into my Igbo heritage, but I still feel a kindred spirit with any Igbo person, plus, I don't see much difference between Igbos and Niger Deltans, maybe because of my roots.
. Never knew we were siblings by state of origin. What part of Abia are you from?

I just pray he gets over it... This is the wrong time for such.

It could also be as a result of him being aware of a guaranteed place in Russia2018.

see, everything is discussed here. When tbaba had a baby, why didn't you say the family section exists?

We did not get to over 2k pages by discussing only football, shey you know?

Anything that comes up in the process of discussion can pass as long as it doesn't extend past that one day.

We're like a family here, if someone needs money or even a job, we have gotten to the point where they can even come here and ask....that is how far we have come and we won't send him to job section.

Football may be what brought us together, but we are not limited to it.

Etebo against Argeria was climbing Argerian player's back like palm tree. He was below average doing the qualifiers

Oga don't take it out of context, that was when the Algerians had started misbehaving, everyone on the pitch was angry and wanted to stop them at all cost.

Moses was solid defencely today. Shuts down city's attack from the left on countless times.

But was average going forward. He had a chance of turning the game around. But his decision let him down.

I don't know if this is a blessing in disguise or the other way round.

Football is all about OPPORTUNITY. Rudiger is an example. I don't think Omuero plays bad than this guy. He is Chelsea's version of Akpeyi.

Balogun is just experiencing a dip in form. On the other hand, Omeruo seems to have recovered from a loss of form. Either way, we don’t have a crises. Better yet both players hit top form just before the WC.

I actually thought I was alone on this. I don't see why that guy shouldn't be playing in the he championship. He is so poor. I would pick Omeruo ahead of him seriously

I've been uncomfortable with Balogun since the match against Zambia. Not a crisis ooo. Not at all. As it stands I prefer Omeruo. I am not attached to persons. I am attached to ability. So if I look and I see that Balogun can do the job, I stick with him. If Balogun dips and Omeruo tips, I will stick to Omeruo. Ultimately like you have said let both of them be in tip top form before the mundial.

I just didn't want to respond to him cos if he had look at the way the discussion propped up and evolved, he would have been less hard. But then no wahala.
The topic is somewhat sensitive. So let's respect the voices of objection and let the matter slide. Perhaps if it comes up on another thread we will discuss it to our heart's content there.

US have 2 languages.

Indian filled with languages too

Same wtih China, yet they are growing. It goes beyond language.
forgiveness:

The major unifying factor of a nation is Language. The major dignifying factor is multiple language language.

God self knows hence he disunified mankind through language. Gen 11 vs 7. Oyinbo self no this hence the the amalgamation of Nations to form countries which is bringing confusion.

I don't talk my own finish.

how many languages does India have?

India that still has a caste system, the darker you are, the lesser your opportunities in life.

There are over 300 languages in Nigeria. How can you compare?

Do you know that India and Pakistan were one a nation? Do you know what split them? Religion. The Pakistani side was Muslim and then there was Buddhist India. That was enough for a split

In Nigeria, we are divided upon lines of ethnicity, language and religion. Show me any nation as complex as ours in this world that has worked

Well sometimes if we look at a situation within its context it would help us understand the different angles to it. See ehn, I have not been impressed by Etebo at all since the Algerian tie in Uyo. At a certain point I even doubted if he'd make it to Russia. But I understand the 'hype' as you call it surrounding him now. Consider that he played a good game against Barcelona that had Messi (Argentina our opponent), Rakitic (Croatia, our opponent), Paulinho and Iniesta who are all accomplished footballers. Against such stellar cast of players Etebo held his own and shone among the Stars.

Regardless of his performance in the Gwg, this is good for us. Good on many levels
* he's in good form preparatory to the WC, therefore boosting our strength in the midfield and increasing our options
*psychologically it's good for Etebo and SE. He will draw confidence from his performance against the likes of Messi and pour it on his fellow teammates in the SE. Imagine if a player like Idowu who as reported some few days ago saying Messi is exceptional, sees Messi and begins to shake. Etebo can tell him 'Guy relax, just play your game, I did so when I played against him in Spain. You too can do so now'. As in he will demystify Messi and Rakitic for his brothers. This can help a great deal.

So despite my almost extreme pessimism regarding his chances as per his performances in the Gwg, I am happy he had a good game. I am very happy and I pray he continues to outdo himself
