You are 100% correct. We can NOT have good control over the quality of used vehicles (tokunbo) imported into Nigeria, the best way to have control over the quality is to start local MASS production of cars in Nigeria. Softmojo: |

chukel: Bros...I wasn't the only one who has recommended him on this thread. Look above my comment...someone else who I don't even know recommended him even before I did. If you have any issues about saintjoel, come out here and let us know, just as Ipfreely & Cosplay are doing to the car dealers. Also what trouble are you talking about? Am I standing as a guarantor to him or what...that you are talking about putting myself in trouble? Haven't you heard of due diligence despite recommendations |

Cosplay: Bro,abeg make una take am easy. Hopefully things would get better with time. People have been duped of hard earned money here in the past(no car/money to show for it). But we thank God we were able to put a stop to it(I suppose). Hopefully, the issue of vin disclosure not being adhered to,would take a while to adjust to. Sometimes, I also forget to include it but I always provide it on request. |

Ipfreely: An example of a potentially dangerous purchase. https://www.nairaland.com/4353188/2011-camry-sale-tokubo Note how resistant the seller is to providing the VIN. Then there's this one. This is a potentially very serious situation. https://www.nairaland.com/4309529/2016-model-lexus-gx460-toks |

bejeria101: no one lights a candle n keeps it under a bushel, same also with integrity...... u can't fake it! isn't it obvious hu u would rather do business with? an arrogant person/ dealer hu aggressive brags about nothing or a calm headed dealer who calmly gives u info despite the repercussions..... if u have followed this thread religiously, u will notice something; upcoming dealers make the loudest noise despite their inability to make reasonable and tangible comments/ arguments.... the established just watch from the background without any comments and the growing make tangible points. take a pick and analyse!! 4 Likes |
