We shouldn't forget that something similar happened in 2013, and the U.S. even resolved to take military action against the Syrian government, it was Russian diplomatic intervention and Assad's timely decision to disarm Syria of all its chemical munitions that stayed Obama's hand.

It would be stupid because if Assad falls you get Islamic State takeover. This could lead to annother Libya situation. The Russians, Iranians and Hezbollah already have situation under control. The Assad gas his own people line is just propaganda as like Iraq have WMD's.

Well, the U.S. and its allies have proven willing to work with Al-Nusra and other syrian rebel fronts and "moderate" terrorists, in the case that Assad falls, the U.S. will support a rebel faction.

Well, its all about national interest and international politics. I would do the same thing if Nigeria were the U.S. and I was the president.




It is left to Assad to strengthen Syria against western meddling.

what will France strike with? Don't take the word of a teenager who was assaulted by his teacher(wife)too seriously...the last thing the world wants to see is french jets been brought down by Russian Sam's..it Wld be pathetic..

France has considerable military capabilities,and can carry out air and naval strikes on key Syrian positions. Russian SAMs are not omnipotent.
