The current France team is fully loaded with stars, just like Belgium. In fact, aside from Brazil, I think France is probably the deepest team in Russia. But I am not afraid of France. I think we can beat France .... we could've beaten them in Brazil, but this time there would be no escaping defeat if we meet them. Mark my words! O pari asha80: |

How many foreign players are there in Plateau united? What have they ever won in their life? they came from division one to the league to win which is why i compared them to Leicester city but we both know Leicester city have foreign players, good ones. If you like put Rohr to coach Plateau united with the set of players available now, a better equipped club like Etoile will still beat them silly. Remember this is the first time Plateau united will ever play international football including their coaching crew. Expecting them not to get beaten is funny though. tbaba1234: |

He's done fairly well for the super eagles for years now and even during the qualifiers. if he was so bad, he would have been dropped since. how come all coaches keep calling him or are you saying they don't know if he's good or not? MetalJigsaw: |

tbaba1234: Yes, i ain't because i know they won't qualify, don't have that quality to compete with Etoile, they are not mates. Somewhat like Liverpool vs Ludrogzas. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

TheSuperNerd: Akwa United played a team from Gambia though.. I remember when the great Enyimba team played away, they were so defensively sound that they frustrated their north African opponents. What i am seeing here is terrible |

Icon79: I'm with you Sir Icon79. France at that stage won't be so tactically resilient or super disciplined but will only rely on their quality stardust.... And this is where Nigeria will have the edge as we are a tactically disciplined side who can stick to our game plan and utilise our wicked pace on the counters to wreck and destroy any f**king team.... It will be interesting if we get to meet France. I want a part two of that cheeky Mikel dummy between Pogba's legs back in 2014.... Hahahahahahahahaha I tell you a truth, we will beat France because we will own that midfield. Mikel-Ndidi-Onazi will dominate Pogba-Kante-Rabiot/Tolisso/Sissoko (whatever third man they choose) The battle will be won in the tactics and not in the talents.... We have the fullbacks to handle France's high-flying Dembele, Martial, and Coman.... But if na Echiejile dey that left back or left wing back role ehn (depending on our chosem formation that day) Chaaaiiiii.... Wahala go dey oooo.... And we pray for no such wahala..... ![]() Abeg Sir Icon79... Chop knuckle... We dey together on this... This team go knock out France if na dem cross our path... 5 Likes

This same league produced Kano pillars that knocked out Al ahly (African greatest powerhouse) from CCL. Heartland also sent Royal Armed Forces out of the CCL and we had 2 Nigerian clubs playing semi finals against eachother just less than 10 years ago. This same Nigeria league produced that! It was TP Mazembe that stopped Heartland from winning the Champions league that season. Lets stop blaming the whole league for the fault of individual club side. We have good clubs in the league with good foundation! tbaba1234: 1 Like |

Glory years ke? Apart from Enyimba, the other 3 Nigerian clubs in Africa this season are debutants. Don't expect much from them o. Most of these clubs hardly hold on to their best once season ends. Other African clubs doing well in Africa keep their best or at least most of their best. Our Nigerian players play football for the money first before the passion. I wish LMC can put a law down stopping any good player from leaving the league until after 3 seasons. See MFM struggling to score because their goal scorers have left. tbaba1234: |

Though this ain't no big news because Ilori did better when he was in ligue 1, but cheers... ![]() Chidozie Awaziem Makes Team Of The Week In France After Stunning Display At Left Back Against Marseille Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem has once again made the team of the week in France after his strong showing for Nantes in their 1-1 draw against Marseille. Awaziem lasted the entire duration of the game, and his performances has earned him a spot in the team of the week in the French Ligue 1 for the fourth time ![]() He was particularly impressive against Florian Thauvin despite the French man scoring a late equaliser to earn Marseille a point. Awaziem didn’t lose a single tackle against Thauvin and also looked solid in aerial duels. His overall statistics in the game reads nine clearances, three interceptions, passing accuracy of 57.1% with one of the four long balls he launched getting to his teammate.
